My name is Vandana sharma on 25-May- 2007 I got enrolled into an MBA program from ICFAI under enrollment number MBA2095481. My situation went bad and wanted to discontinue the program... on 20-May-2007 i wrote them stating that wont b able to continue this... but they denied stating that u'll have to continue this as I've signed the contract... what contract are we selling education... i am from a very poor family and cannot afford to continue further studies... but who understands... I paid Rs. 10000 as advance payment and for remaining fee I opted for EMI payment of fees of Rs. 4323/month for 18 months. I had one cheques at the time and the sales guy from ICFAI forced me that that particular day was the last date and told me that I can give one cheques for Rs 77,814, as a promise note that i will replace this cheque with 17 cheques for Rs. 4323/month within a month.

This is such a Stupid things in such a Democratic country this things has to be taken care by Hon. Supreme court of India and provide justice to the students and penalized these types of organizations.

ICFAI is the money making fake university. Beware of It.

I am another victim.

They take this huge amount. today the results are out and their site is down. their centers know nothing about it. From overseas if u call at hyderabad office, they transfer the line n times.

And in the end the answer is u can wait and try tomorrow.

U got to pay 250$ for every group if u appear overseas. I did not know it is so complicated procedure. They do not realize that peopple do not have time that why we take up correspondence. When are we supposed to study their vast course material.

When i see other students doing coorespondence from other institutes for 1/4 the price and no additional charges for exam fee or for courier of course material and again the eams are also way easier 1 hour duration.

Word of mouth is the best marketing.

And i am sure icfai is getting a lot of negative marketing this way. Hope they realize and rectify.

I enrolled for the cpa program in the year 2007..i successfully completed the first 3 groups with distinction and suddenly from the 4th group i started flunking miserably...i studies harder the next time...but cudnt clear...its been 2 yrs n i still havent cleared the 4th group...i wish to withdraw this course...since its not helping me in any way...i ve been a very sincere student n have had a good academic record throughout...so when i flunked after gettin a distinction thrice...came as a shock to me...i donn think i ll be discontuining this course undoubtedly...

icfai university is the one of the worst university in india. They assure that we have more than 8 university in india. I think university involved in unfair practics and also involve black money in this university. recently they announce that icfai university jharkhand estabilished but where the campus of this university. ICFAI universoty is not a reconized by UGC. so be careful about this university. and i also demand to govt. that please investgate that university.

Hello there,
I have read ur statement about ICFAI University, did you ever try and approach the head quarters located in hyderabad (AP), the people in HQ may be able to help you, I am saying all this because I have worked for ICFAI for 1 year in HQ and I know the people, and the sales executive you are talking about is one of those ones who is not willing to loos the sale and hence he has pushed to pay the fees for some x amount and if you approach the marketing team at HQ they will atleast take this issue to higher authorities.
Its definetly not a money making university, fact is that they are not recoganised by the government as "UNIVERSITY".
My advice is go to hyderabad to ICFAI HQ and talk to marketing team.

icfai distance learning programme when i took admisson in 2006 they said they will offer degree from hyderabad and now they are givin me dehradun certificate and their course modules are made for money making they are doing pure business and keep on failing students so they can raise RS.1000/- for every exams and denying to refund fees and they spoiled my money as well as my precious 2 years

Hey I am just another bakra for the institute.
I joined the MCA course and dropped out since I got an oopurtunity to work abroad.
When I left the course the bloody idiots started calling up my dad for defaulting their cheque payments.
They went to the extent of sending me a call form some court in Hyd or so.
Later I asked dad to pay up some 7k and close the matter since I didnt want my dad to run behind it.

I fully agree that these guys are completely unethical.
What kind of education such an institue can impart is a very big question.
As far as help goes - nah nobodys gonna help. We are in india. We study from these colleges and so I doubt if there would be any improvement in near future.

Any ways unless you have a strong clout its tough to fight these guys.

I too agree with your comments. I am also suffering because of this ICFAI(Idiotic Customer Fooling Agents of India). These money fuckers wander along the streets with their tongue out, like dogs wander for bones. They pull out money from people's pocket in the name of education. This university is a black mark for our other Indian universities. If we leave them as it is, they will ruin the Education System of our country. Those people who is willing to join hands with me to band this cheating university and to drive them away out of India, please do mail me. They have a very strong background and do this crime. The Judicial system also support these frauds. They have money and influence. So guys please think it over, how to trap this dangerous wild pig. I have no hope that we will get our money back. This is like sugarcane went into elephant's mouth. The only way to punish them is to bomb the university in a holiday and demolish the campus. These kind of violence is the only way to punish these bastards.

I registered for CFA cource of ICFAI. My cource consists of 3 levels. At the time of joining, I was not informed about any extgra money to be paid after clearing level 1. However, on clearing level 1, I got a mail from ICFAI asking me to deposit Rs. 10000/- in order to be eligible to take level 2. I am shocked to see this irresponsible behaviour of the university. At the time of registering I was not aware about different money making avenues that educational universities are using. I think its time for education ministry to take harsh steps on these universities.
