My name is Vandana sharma on 25-May- 2007 I got enrolled into an MBA program from ICFAI under enrollment number MBA2095481. My situation went bad and wanted to discontinue the program... on 20-May-2007 i wrote them stating that wont b able to continue this... but they denied stating that u'll have to continue this as I've signed the contract... what contract are we selling education... i am from a very poor family and cannot afford to continue further studies... but who understands... I paid Rs. 10000 as advance payment and for remaining fee I opted for EMI payment of fees of Rs. 4323/month for 18 months. I had one cheques at the time and the sales guy from ICFAI forced me that that particular day was the last date and told me that I can give one cheques for Rs 77,814, as a promise note that i will replace this cheque with 17 cheques for Rs. 4323/month within a month.

This is such a Stupid things in such a Democratic country this things has to be taken care by Hon. Supreme court of India and provide justice to the students and penalized these types of organizations.

ICFAI is the money making fake university. Beware of It.

i joined in the year 2006 with ful lumpsum amount for MS finance.i have written around 7-8 exams till date, , , bt guess wat i hav not yet cleared a single group.my enrolment no. is cfa044557.the very interesting thing here is that i have passed my full time course of MBA from osmania, , with 1st division distinction.And therefore it cannot be said that iam a failure or a weak student.exam fees exam fees exam fees, , , , , this is the only thing these guys want.i can c some icfai rats here telling that failures r reacting to their fail status.they r agents of icfai ofcourse.iam still finding the guy sachin who made me fal into this trap.the day he appears in front of me, , , he is gone for sure.

I must say that they r just doing the money making business n selling the degrees to the students by taking a huge handsome amount...The university must be locked down so that all those money making bastards must know the value of a students money n their precious time...

Really, I thought it was only me who has been looted by this so called institute but no they are well organized looters spread across all over the country.
It seems like only these fees allow them to keep them going in life.
I also ve the same story like others where in I was not able to pay the fees & these people sent me an letter from some session court in h'bad dont know if they prepare it themselves since they are the best in manipulating.I was never told once enrolled you cannot opt out but when my financial situationwas ruined due to some problems. ICFAI very nicely made it worse by sending letters of non payment of EMI's.God bless them & forgive them for their deeds bcoz going to court in this country is another joke for me as I don't have time & very importantly the money for paying the fees.

Hello everyone,

Many of us just take admission because of a hidden dream of getting the MBA degree. When we go for the admission we don’t look for our strengths and weaknesses. The first mistake many of us make is not read the prospectus which is given free of cost. Everything is stated very clearly in the prospectus. Afterwards we blame the person seating at the ICFAI counter. Before my admission I was even allowed to go through study materials of MBA course.

I have found many friends complaining that ICFAI don’t refund the money and say that ICFAI is a fraud institution. This is clearly a misconception. Every institution has to follow some rules and regulations.

If we are paying our hard earned money to any one or any institution we must look for the pros and cons. We do this even when purchasing vegetables from the market. So, we are at fault if we don’t do that, and when the amount involved is big then it is a must.

I took admission in Jun 2006. I am in the defense services, married, father of one. After I took admission I too found it really tough to carry on. But when I got the results of my group A, I got some energy. The study materials are of International standards and very very tough. The English is of very high standard. I have studied in English medium school but every now and than I had to refer to the dictionary.

One thing is very much true; it is very tough to pass out from ICFAI. But there is no foul play. Every thing is very much transparent. They have call center with tool free numbers. We can ask for help from them if required. We can mail them and get help.

For those friends those who are finding it tough to pass, I can request to give yourself a chance and work very hard. After all an ICFAI degree can’t be just purchased, you have to earn it.

I have completed MBA HR from ICFAI University after three years of struggle. But one thing I can tell you is that I never gave up. I was always able to motivate myself. I have failed twice; I could not appear once because my son was very very sick; in ICU for 12 days. But I managed to carry on with my hard work and pass all the papers.

So, if some one says that ICFAI is fraud I feel bad. I simply love ICFAI.

I just cant believe the same happned to me, I m from Distance MBA enrolled on FEB2008..ICFAI sales guy forced me too to pay the entire amount saying it to be the last registring day. These guys are nothing but son of bitch. I m literally hurted by ICFAI managaments. They dont even consider any request raised. I called them again and again but the way they talk is like they doing any favour to me.

I feel literally cheated by these people...I can bet i had done well in xam but they are jst failing me all the times. I dont know if the same happned to anyone here.

I found that all the complaints are made by people who could not pass. To pass from ICFAI one has to be very smart. You need to be very strong in your english, you must be prepared to give your best continuously for quite a long time, if you fail the get up and start another inning. Do not blame ICFAI for your inability. ICFAI is has a good name worldwide for it's high standard. To get an ICFAI degree your standard also should match. This is not that kind of institute where you just pay the bill and get the certificate. I know this because, I am an ICFAI MBA. I know how much I have struggled earn this MBA.

Dear Arti!

I am a student myself and have been through the recent changes. The change was for good, providing for equivalent waivers in new structure. Further, one full group has been reduced to the advantage of the students. In your mail, you seem to be seeking lenient evaluation unmindful of the fact that you have chosen to pursue a professional program. Personal problems apart, the course has to be done from professional angle and hence no room for lighter evaluation, at least from University angle. I doubt intensity of your preparation and suggest you to assess your own preparedness for early completion of the program.

Hi Guys,

I am also one of them facing the same problem. ICFAI Cheated on me. They failed to keep their promise of training classes, when i asked them to transfer me to other program for which classes are currently running, they made excuses and dint transfer me other program. I finally decided to discontinue the course but now they denied to refund the amount.

I am talking to consumer forum help desk new delhi. They asked me to send a written complaint to the head office and branch office with acknoledgement. I did the same but dint get any reply from them. I called the cosumer forum help desk again they asked me to send a reminder and this time if they failed to reply will take the matter to consumer forum and ask for compensation for all the money i have wasted to get the refund, for all my time, for all the pain, agony and frustation me and my family has gone through.

My suggestion to Everybody in this forum to send a written complaint to them and if you dont hear from them take the matter to consumer forum and ask for compensation.

Many of you have failed because of you have not prepared for the exam. Pls don blame when you are wrong. In india CA and Civil service exams are considered as the tougest exam. Many people write but only few will gat through the exam. So we can not blame the system. If you have failed in the exam please blame your self for not preparing well.
