Income Tax Refund
Hi
The status of Income tax refund for Assessment year 2005-2006 shows that Refund Cheque has already been encashed on April 21 2007 having SBI reference number CMP545198 whereas till date I have neither received the cheque nor got the amount credited to my bank account thru ECS. I also haven't got the refunds for 2006-07 and 2007-08. On inquiry, I came to know that they are still in progress. It seems that Income Tax Dept. will distribute huge amount in interest towards the TDS deducted.

Ref to the above my Income tax refund for the year of 2005-2006 Amount RS 25, 334/- was dispatced on
Feb 4, 2009 / Speed Post Ref:no EY290549995IN returned undelivered by the Postal department due to my house was locked and I was out of station.
After enquiring from State Bank of India Incom Tax refund department at bombay they said the cheque was recieved back by the Bank.I have written to state bank bombay to resend the same but they have not responded.
I there fore will request to see into this matter and arrange for refund the same at the earliest.. |

Dear Sir,
Reference of my letter dt.27.06.2008 regarding issue of fresh refund voucher, I could not deposited the refund cheque to the bank because the cheque had been issued in the name of TATAL GHOSH but the bank a/c no mentioned in the refund voucher of my companies bank a/c no. 10401758806 instead of TATAL GHOSH bank a/c no. 10401851974 State Bank Of India, Nager Bazar Br.Kolkata.Hence the said refund voucher was returned to the Assessing officer 42(2) ward, Poddar Court Kolkata on 08 July 2008.But i regret to state that, i have not received the fresh refund voucher till to-day. Kindly look in to this matter and do the needful.The refund amt. is Rs.1130/-
