My name is SAIKAT KESHORI, a resident of guwahati. Recently i purchased AIRTEL MICROMAX 3G USB modem on dated: 27/08/09.(PURCHASED FROM SKY CELL AIRTEL,MRD ROAD,BAMUNIMAIDAN,GUWAHATI-21,PHONE-2657603). I have taken the highest rental package of 955 rental including tax.
SUB: MISGUIDEING THE CUSTOMER AND NOT FULFILLING THE SERVICE ASSURED.
I was promised the speed would be the same as mentioned on the product cover. Before purchasing the product i asked the retailer to provide me a demonstration of the product to verify its speed etc. But they told me that they cannot do so, since they did not have extra device for the same. But they constantly assured us to get a super speed of 3.6 mbps(downlink link) and upto 384 kbps uplink which i desperately wanted. But now i am getting a terribly slow speed of approx- 3-4 kbps downloading link and surfing is very slow too.
After getting problem with the speed, i went to the sky cell executive to complain about the matter. After having a brief discussion i came to know that the slow speed of the modem is due to EDGE/GPRS network, They told me that at present airtel doesnot have HSDPA 3G network at guwahati, because of which i am getting slow speed, which they didnot inform me before purchasing the modem.
After that i went to their customer survice centre, to solve the problem, they checked my device and told me that i will be getting the expected speed when there will be 3G network in guwahati, but till when was not made clear to me.
So, now i am fade up with there behaviour, and want to disconnect the network and want get the total money back for the modem or device (MMX300G 3G usb manager) i have paid. so that i can purchase a High speed internet connection as i desired earlier, from any other company.
