auto rickshaw meter — Defective autorikshaw meter
I took autorikshaw No. GJ-1-AZ-8257 at 6.30 PM from Naranpura very near St.Xavier School to go intercity bustop at Geeta Mandir. This rikshaw had a flag down meter and not the round meter. The meter started running as soon as the vehicle started. On pointing out the driver said that meter is supposed to run that way. At Geeta Mandir the meeter read Rs 5.40 and the driver took Rs 54 from me. He also showed me a printed chart where Rs 54 was printed against Rs 5.40.I travel regularly between these points about twice a month, every time taking the same route, i.e. Ellis Bridge, Swastik Char rasta, Vijay Chowk and to St Xavier. I have paid between Rs 38 and 39 for the juorney, either way.
This meter was doctored.

This complaint is against an autorickshaw driver Mr Jaiprakash Yadav. with PVSA No 275578 and vehicleno MH 02
Z - 2597.
For a journey from Sion railway station to Santacruz Domestic Airport, his meter reading was 17:10
and his fare card showed Rs 235 for the reading.
Since, we were in a hurry to depart by flight IC 179 scheduled at 10:55 am , we simply paid the fare and noted down his details.
Would like to request the authority to have his meter checked for discrepancy and fare card verified so that he stops cheating others.
Verified from other auto drivers on airport about fare for the said distance.its not more than 90.

auto rickshaw meter — meter too much fast
Hello Sir,I usually go from mulund to vikhroli in auto rickshaw and usually fare goes upto 80 to 85 Rs. But this rickshaw's meter was so much fast that he charged me 135 Rs. and he threatened me also, his rickshaw number is MH 03 D 8787, and he was very rude and misbehaved when i said that his meter is showing wrong fare.
I would like you to take action on this, as it happens once a week with me.
Auto Rickshaw — Extremely fast Auto Rickshaw meter
My colleague & I travel by auto rikshaw regularly and have come to the conclusion that the fare between Kandivali and Vikhroli(Godrej Complex) through Aarey colony comes in the range of 109 - 120 depending on traffic situation.On Friday, 31st July we again boarded a rikshaw from Kandivali which took us till Aarey Colony since his Auto rikshaw's gas got over. The fare at that time was 50, which was high but not as much so we decided not to say anything about it.
Then we caught a rikshaw from aarey colony, the number of that auto rikshaw was: MH03AK 4270 and 786 was written in the front of the rikshaw. We were shocked to see that inside Aarey colony which is a 10 min distance, the fare reached much more than 50. We tried to explain him that we come daily by this route and that his meter is tampered but he wasn't ready to agree and was back answering. We also explained to him that the distance from Kandivali to Aarey colony had the same fare and it is not possible for such a short distance.
By the time we reached vikhroli(park-site), the fare was 110, which is the normal fare from kandivali to vikhroli(godrej complex). We said that we would take him to the RTO, at that time he said that his brakes were failed so hold on to your seats & then stopped the rikshaw by decreasing the speed of the auto rikshaw. He stopeed much before the RTO i.e. he stopped at Vikhroli(park-site) which is 5 mins before godrej complex. When we said that we would make a complain to RTO, he wasn't worried at all and said that you can make a complain in RTO.
Is it because of the delayed response of our system or no reponse at all, that the Auto Rishaw walas are not at all feared of the consequence. I request the authority to take strict action against that auto rikshaw wala.
