[Resolved]  Barclays Credit Card — NO update on application!

Hi,

I have applied for barclays credit card and the executive told that credit card will be handled to me personally. Since i leave my home at 7.30 and reach my home at 9pm hence i had requested them to hand over my credit card to my office adress. Still after 10 days i did not recieve my credit card. Kindly let me know what is the status.Pls do the needful.

I had the same feeling of frusturation & helplessness whilst dealing with Barclays when I wanted my statement by E-mail. Numerous calls to their call centre was absolutely useless.But i had a pleasant surprise when one of their executive manager Mr. Yatin called up to get the details of my complaint & within the next 1 hour I had the statement which the call centre was wanting 48 Hours.

Perhaps there is a silver lining after all. Lets hope the good rubs off on all their executives.

Barclay — Regarding The Credit Card

I had been using the card for nearly a Year. My Credit Limit Was more that 1 Lakh.
On OCT 26 th I Swipped the card for 6000 odd RS. later on Novemebr First Week, i tried to swipe the card online on the IRCTC website. Later It was Denied, i tahught That Barclay did not have the Provision, So i had to go all the way to the Reservation Center and Tried to Book the Ticket.

There also it was denied. I called up the Customer care. I was told that there System was not Working. After Few Minutes, i called up again later i was told that my credit Limit was Lowered and they had sent an mail as well as a SMS on OCT 20Th. Till date i have not recieved the Letter neither did recieve the SMS.

The Best Part is that i recieve their BIll and Later Letters. On the same Call i had called up to get the Rewards Points and had ordered a Coupon which till date has not yet been Recieved.

I had Also called up on the Second Week to check, the CSR told me that would be Getting it within 4 Days.

Those 4 days never came, one more Point i would like to add here is that the customer service Rep not Only lie but are also Rude in thier Language.

For all those people who are complaining for non-receipt of Barclaycard I would suggest that you consider yourself lucky. Simply don't go for this card. They are number one Cheater. They have simply many card users in the name of priority circle membership. I am one of the victim. Better stay away from Barclay otherwise you will regret.
why my limit decrease without any information
i applied for the card on sep17th... yet no call or card frthem... no body here seems to knw the cust care no or the cc dept no... even the pl who work for them dont knw. a person clld me frmthe loans dept and wn i askd her for the Cust care #, nobody thr also seems to av a track... no idea wat happning... these ppl are takin all docs frm us to gv us a cc but no idea if thy ae misusing it...this is highly irritating

They don't have proper drop box, i never received any statement till the day i have taken their card. Their services really sucks, ...please improve your services.

I am Ravi babu having credit card. some how there was a fraud transaction happened on my card account and i placed a complaint on this many times to the custormer care but no action was taken yet on this.

Expecting some response.
I had applied for the Barclays Yatra credit card...I was said that i will receive the card within 15 days when i got the confirmation call tht my card is being dispatched...But now after 45 days when i am calling them, they say that my details are not there in their system...They say I have to apply again...that means again unlimited number of calls even when I am working in office...and also I am not going to provide all my details again...what is the guarantee that this willn't happen again...I didn't expect such poor service atleast from Barclays.

I m rupak dev using ur cc frm last year but on the month of oct 08 there is dispute of my payment that u haven't received which i have given the proved by many way that the payment has been made to u on time which shown on my bank acnt & after comfirm'g u the same many time to ur executive finaly i have sent al the document to ur mumbai office still i receive sms daily & cal at my native place for the same. So i request u 2 plz take action.

My brother has taken Barclay credit card last year. Even after making the due payments he was charged Rs 300/- extra. When he called customer care there was no proper response. Left with no other option, he paid that amount.

But to add to surprise he again got Rs 200/- charge. He lodged the complain with the rather rude customer care. But complain was never acted upon. He again received bill with interest.

We are now fed up with stupid customer care. No complain works there. Over that, they call 10 times a day to make payment.

I and my brother who work for software companies, wont recommend barclay card to anyone ever.
Can someone please save us from this trauma.

Dont take BARCLAY CARD!! Dont use BARCLAY CARD!! If you have used DON'T PAY to them as it is vicious circle till you or your bank account is dead!!

Barclays Credit Card — Credit card application process

Hi,

I had applied for Barclays Times card a couple of weeks back with the phone banking executive saying that I would be getting a call from the applications department within 7 days. After 2 weeks and 2 new applications on the Times card site and on the application helpline, I finally received a call from their team who offered me a Yatra Platinum card, not the Times card I applied for. The phone banking executive (or whatever his designation might be) took all my details saying that I could apply for either card. He finally came to asking my birth date, which I mentioned. On mentioning my birth year, he repeated it to someone and then said he'll call me back. I asked him what the problem was and he lied to me saying that there was some problem with the software and he would call me back and before I could say anything he hung up on me. I cannot get myself to curse and swear on a public forum but I seriously feel as disgusted a customer as any. I hope Barclays realizes that a bank's value lies only with their customers and if they treat potential customers like this with a "premium" image they wish to create. I do not see how long they would be able to survive.

Barclay Credit Card — Charges applied on Card-No statement

Hi

This is regarding the Barclay Credit card that i have.

The bank knows that they are not delivering the statements to my address & also inspite of my payments have been charging me late fees & overlimit fees.

I have not seen my statement for ages & don't know the due date or when the statement gets generated.
Still i make online payments through one of my friends online banking.

I have informed the bank already that i don't have online banking or a system at my place so please send me the paper-statement each month so taht i can know the bal on my card, which they've failed to do so.

today i got a call, & to my surprise the rep says that i have charged with overlimit fees thrice & i have no knowledge of teh same.
I had applied for barclay cerdit card for almost 1 year back, but i had not received any card. after intimating this to bank, i had not received card, later 4-5 month back I told to cancelled my application since i m not receiving it, but till today how come i m receiving sms from barclay to my mobile when i dont have credit card.this is rediculous.
This was same happened with me. I also didn't get any card since two years of i was got refrence no. two years back. & they also told me that i will get my card in 21 days.
