Bharti Axa General Insurance — Denial of Claim

This is regarding my claim number – C0065911

1. My Car UP78 AW 7983 met with an accident on 8-Nov-2010.
2. Claim File on 15-Nov-2010 by Hyundai workshop Panki, Kanpur
3. Claim Number C0065911 got approved by 20-Nov-2010 by surveyor Rajesh
4. Surveyor changed by Bharti AXA and new surveyor RK Singh started negotiations on Cash lose for Rs. 1.3 Lakh.
5. On 21-Dev-2010 he gave approval for repairs of vehicle to Hyundai Workshop Panki, Kanpur. However he said party need to pay Rs. 70K approx and rest Bharti AXA will pay.
6. Hyundai started working on vehicle.
7. On 31-Dec-2010, Bharti AXA sends a letter stating that my NCB declaration is wrong and old insurer HDFC ERGO has a claim processed hence claim may not processed. after 45 day they identified that the policy issued by them is not proper as their Sales team sold me policy and calculated wrong amount on NCB. I didn’t remember what sales person declared and not on policy, I have only the cover note issued by Bharti AXA [please see the attached cover notefrom Bharti AXA and old insurer HDFC ERGO. In BHARTI AXA cover note they hide NCB related details, while HDFC has mentioned it clearly. Now, I doubt there are many such cases where Bharti AXA reject claim due to NCB declaration as it is not mentioned on cover note and policy both.]
8. On 3-Jan-2011, I called Bharti AXA complaint and they have issued a letter for correction on NCB shortfall by Payment of Rs. 1230 by dtd 19-Jan-2011.
I called up again and asked for payment, but then thay said > ““The vehicle needs to be inspected & after inspection if the vehicle is recommended for Insurance then we can accept the NCB amount”
9. I replied them for inspection and provide the Vehicle location.
10. Since then I followed more than 10 times, but no reply.
11. 19-Jan-2011 passed and on 2-Feb-2011, Bharti AXA replied that Policy got expired and they will not process any claim.
12. By this time vehicle got ready and workshop intimated to surveyor and me for delivery of vehicle.


I feel Bharti AXA cheated me and hide facts. Why should I pay for Bharti AXA’s mistakes and delays?

Please see there are many such cases which I found in web forums, I guess this company is making their business with making fool to others.
