Blackberry — poor and pathetic service

I (archit mehra) had recently bough a bb 9900, thinking that after paying almost 32000r.s i will get to use the handset. After buying the handset after 3 days it suddenly started to crash every 10 min, both the speakers just refuse to go on. I sent it to a near by bb service center Redington India Ltd. They said i will get a replacement certificate within 24hrs, which i did. i took the certificate to the dealer and he gave me a replacement within 7 day. I was so happy with the service by bb. After getting the new phone i thought that now at least there would be no issue, but i was wrong, again after 5 days half the key pad stopped working and again the speakers did not respond. So again i sent the phone to the same service center. Again i got the same response that i will get the replacement do certificate in 24 hrs. So the next day i went to the service center.On going there started a complete turn around. The lady at the desk said that today the approval has not come please come tomorrow, i said ok and left. The next day i called them and inquired and got a response that it will come by the evening. Next day again i called, the said sir the xerox of your phone bill is not clear so you need to send us the original. The next day i sent them the original bill. The lady at the desk told me to come back after a day. I did the same, i again went and got to know that the approval had still not come and now they are having problems getting the approval because my new phone was issued on the same bill. Even after being sick of their service and inefficiency, and not letting the customer know about the problem day 1, i still said yes to get it and went ahead and got the same endorsed and gave it to them. Now the lady at the desk said to call and come in a day or two (the service center hardly take calls as they are sooooo busy providing the poor service). So now i called them after 2 days and got to know that they are still working on it and require another day. I felt so cheated and helpless but could not do anything paying 32000rs. and keeping the phone with blackberry was hurting a lot. So i did not call them the next day thing they would get back, but i was wrong they don't have time to call. So again after ! day i called them up around 2 p.m, they lady took the call and said the approval had come. I was so happy that finally the struggle was over knowing little of what is left in store. I reached the service center around 5.30p.m. As i asked the lady for the DO, suddenly i got the shock of my life she said i am sorry the approval has yet not come. This really put me off that after almost 10 days and after receiving a confermation that the approval had come you get to hear this. The best part was that they were still justifying and asking me to come back gain tomorrow. I was really not aware that buying a blackberry was like working for them, you had to compile by their orders. bring more than 50 times on their managers phone no. it just went out of reach. They made me wait till 7 in the evening just taking and telling me they can't do anything and to come back again. So i took my phone back, today morning i got a call from the same lady again stating that the approval had come, so i demanded that now at least you should arrange a delivery at my office, to which i got a response that sorry we don't do that, you can see if you want to pick it up or not. I really wanted to let blackberry and all of you know that this service center is the worst ever possible, they think that the customer is their servant because they know that he has no where to go. Now am considering putting the matter up in the consumer forum. the service center details are below.
