1. Position and Duties. CHEVRON OIL SCOTLAND shall employ you, and you agree to competently and professionally perform such duties as are customarily the responsibility of the position as set forth in the job description.

2. Outside Business Activities. During your employment with CHEVRON OIL SCOTLAND, you shall devote competent energies, interests, and abilities to the performance of your duties under this Agreement. During the term of this Agreement, you shall not, without (CHEVRON) prior written consent, render any services to others for compensation or engage or participate, actively or passively, in any other business activities that would interfere with the performance of your duties hereunder or compete with (CHEVRON) business.

3. Employment Classification. You shall be a contract Employee and shall be entitled to benefits as specifically outlined herein.

4. Benefits. You will also receive (CHEVRON) standard employee benefits package (including health insurance for you and your family), and will be subject to (CHEVRON) vacation policy as such package and policy are in effect from time to time.

4.1 Death Benefit: Should Employee die during the term of employment, the (CHEVRON) shall pay to Employee's estate any compensation due through the end of the month in which death occurred and will also ensure that he/she is given a befitting funeral according to the expatriate tradition in his home town.



4.2 Other Benefits

This documents, which include work permit, Resident permit, which you will obtain from the SCOTLAND Commission through a registered Immigration Attorney (Agents are not accepted), that work with them as stated.

6. Severability: If any of the provisions of this Agreement are determined to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, such provisions shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make such provisions enforceable, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect to the extent the economic benefits conferred upon the parties by this Agreement remain substantially unimpaired.

ive got a mail from CHEVRON OIL COMPANY SCOTLAND yesterday, , stating tat my resume has been selected ..., , , , , , , , , , , pls respond whether tis is fake or not...
Seems like there are some guys who want to take our money, it's too good to be true to receive such an email with a nice job offer in Scotland. I also received the same email and job offer, however I made my research and I found it's a big scam. They will get your money at the stage of issuing your Work permit, you will never from here again, our they will tell you stories that your visa was not approved. please do not send any money to those people as you will never get it back. couple of items make you suspect:
1- all the telephone numbers are mobile telephones
2- the email addresses are ending with live.co.uk or other domains, while is should end with chevron.com
3- it's hard to get a job in a decent company without face-to-face interview or even video interview

and the list goes on and on
I received a message from Chevron a few days back, it was a handsome offer and so tempting it seems. As I remember my brothers got an offer from a big oil company in UAE a months ago, it was a scam...same format as this...we shouldfind out..
i just want to ask something sir i have recieve an email that i was choosen to work in chevron oil scotland they send me the contract and i have signed it returned, my only question is that the processing fee of my visa and others are being handle d by the applicant is there no posibility that the company will handle it, they will just try to deduct it from my first salary. for the reason that i can not produce the processing fee, because i just came from a very poor family here in the philippines. thank you so much...
