Cheated by Club Leisure & Travel Port
Some executive telephone and offered some free offer and cheated me by taking my credit card number and immediately within seconds my credit card has been debited Rs.4999. This is wrong. They give me some telephone numbers and they have noted my request to check it up. If you have some call centre, advise the trainees not to cheat public like this. I was called by one executive and then inspite of telling her that I will not give the last three digit of credit card I was forced to give the last three numbers stating that no money will be taken from my card. But within seconds I got the confirmation on my cell that Rs.4999 has been debited to my card. THIS IS TOTALLY WRONG. The executive had confirmed that no money will be charged.
I immediately called the company to cancel this service as you have cheated me and return my money. They asked to write a letter regarding this and they will cancel it immediately. But till now no reply from email, no cancellation.

TravelPort is only providing the travel services and does not collect the payments .The product is marketed and owned by Effort BPO .
You can escalte the matter to them and they will solve it immediately .We have also forwarded this complaint to them .
This error arises due to misunderstanding of the offer for which there is a cool off period .There are many security considerations to safeguard your interest like charge back .

I had the Same issue and it hapened today while in the call it was clarrified on the charges and they had supposedly mentioned that the amount was mentioned.
This is really disturbing and need the same cancelled and reversed.

I got call from this number +91-[protected] and Some CLUB LIESURE executive has explained me on call regarding some free offers and got my credit card details for verification purpose. I clarified with them, on the purpose of getting the credit card details, but they were ensuring that it was JUST for verification purpose. But finally, I realized, i was cheated by them as they immediatly within seconds debited my credit card with Rs.5509 Dated 27th June'2010.. This is wrong. They gave me some telephone numbers and they have noted my request to check it up with REF ID: 861805. If you have some call centre, advise the trainees not to cheat public like this. I was called by one executive and then inspite of telling her that I will not give the last three digit of credit card I was forced to give the last three numbers stating that no money will be taken from my card. I was trying to contact customer care number given by them:[protected]/[protected], but they are reachable ONLY on working hours.
They got my mail id for sending complete details of the offer, but i haven't recieved any mails from them.
After some hours, I got call from Travel Port (some lady) from number[protected] asking for verification, then i clearly explained them, that i am not going for this offer any more and reqested them to cancel the offer and revert my transaction. I was also asking that lady to check the RECORDED CONVERSTAION TAPE for complete conversation, where I have never been told about the charges. But they denied my request and I haven't recieved any response from those people till now.

I was really frustrated. The next thing I did was to cancel the credit card through which the transaction was done. The credit card executive told me that the money could not be debited by that merchant. Even so, if the merchant (Travelport) issues the demand, I would be sent a dispute form for disputing the transaction. He also warned me against accepting the packet that Travelport would send.
Let's see what turns up.

this thing has happened to me also but i was quick enough to block my credit card without discussing the matters wiht club leisure employess.
i blocked the credit card & payemnt was stopped instantly they all kept me calling from different nos to confirm me the address so they can send me the card FALTU DISCOUNT charged 5509 for that then i asked them to cancel it they told me that thier executive will come in welcome kit but due to false past commitment i never belived them & never confirmed the address now the calls r stoppped coming from them last 8-10 days thanks god i was saved 5509...
i was never interested in thier card but they fully cheated me saying that it works as a credit card with unlimited withdrawal amount on it & 45 days credit free period !!!
i still confirmed it from them for about 2-3 employess on call centre thier boss also confirmed that it was a credit card & i may register for it with unlimited benefits.
so finally i was trapped they slowly took all my address, mob no, dob, email id & credit card details
i was told that no transaction will b done on my card as soon the call was ended i saw a message of 5509 debit on my credit card i caled up the call centre of HDFC bank blocked my card applied to cancel this transaction as it was done wrongly the bank employees told me that we cant guarantee u that money will b stopped but enquiry will take place & if possible then we may stop the transaction.
i was put on hold for 8 days then i received a letter from bank that transaction has been stopped i felt comfortable then.
the same day i got call from club leisure to confirm the address so that card can b sent but for obvious reason i asked her that does it work like credit card then she blasted me saying that its a discount card & not a credit card she has been listening to the recorded transaction with me & club leisure emplaoyee & now wants to confirmt he address so that i can receive the card.
i refused her then she told me that i will b called up by the manager from then i received upto 8-10 calls per day for confirming the address which i never did...
THE MORAL OF TRUE STORY IS
NEVER EVER PROVIDE CREDIT CARD DETAILS TO ANY BODY THOUGH HE SAYS THAT HE WILL PROVIDE U 1 CRORE IN MINS for SURE U WILL NOT GET 1 CRORE BUT LOOSE ALL THE CREDIT CARD MONEY...

i was cheated by them as i was charged 4999 rs and the offer that was given was fake all i came to know after i got the coupons
I also got cheated in the similar manner, received a call on 10th july 2010 stating all the similar stories for free card and vouchers etc. My ICICI card is also charged by Rs. 5509/-. Transaction ID 611632, I have already blocked ( within 15 minutes of transaction) my card and requested the bank to raise a dispute for the payent. . Thanks to the thread above I was quick to take action and request the bank.Lets see what happens. A confirmation from the bank is still awaited.
Now I am receiving calls every day from some Mr. Vijay (claiming to a senior executive) stating- sir we are extremely sorry for the misscommunication and we have taken action against the culprit executive but we can not refund/return your money, since you have paid for it- why not use it?

Hi...I got a call from these people last month and i purchased the package holiday bonanza for say 5500 and this month i used this voucher for my business meeting and found that this was really cheaper and a better option than other travel packages..i have checked it on several websites...

You should never give our credit card details. If they need any kind of verification there are hell lot of Identification cards like driving license, passport, PAN etc.
I also got a call from them today. i always punched worng information to check whether they are using it or not. Every time they asked me to put correct information. This means they were checking it against some payment module. If this would have been just for information they would have accepted it and verified details while delivering the offer.
So never never give your credit card details or online passwords for bank accounts.

I think we need to file civil/criminal complaints (am not a lwayer and so not sure which one) against these guys so that they can't defraud other people...
These guys called me today and said that because of good credit card history they are offering me an offer. I asked them "which credit card's good history", to which the guy immediately asked me about which credit card i hold, rather then answering...

I had also received a similar call on my mobile on 4th September 2010. The executive told me too that I will not be charged anything. I gave him the credit card number but luckily for me, they tried twice but their machine kept saying "unauthorised usage" of the card and I was not charged anything. After that the executive asked me if I had another credit card but I said that I have only this card. Then he immediately disconneted the call. It made me suspicious and I tried to call back but it got the response that the number is an inactive SIM. He had called me from 4 different numbers during this process as the call kept getting diconnected. But all the numbers were unreachable when I tried to call on them. I immediately called my credit card company to block the card so that they could not use the details in future. I consider myself lucky now. How can one stop these frauds?

I have received call from Club Leisure, New Delhi on 16.09.10 regarding offering Free card and some vouchers for Travelling free of cost. The executive never mention the cost for the same. He connected the line and told me to register credit card number etc and I have received the message regarding transaction of Rs.5509/- debited through my HDFC Bank credit card. As now I do not want to continue with Club Leisure because they have cheated me by insisting to register the card. The executive talking in between while registering the card so I am unable to listen the conversation properly and I have made mistake of registering my card.
How one can connect and make on line transactions over phone directly. The Club Leisure is not ready to cancel the transaction as well as money refund.on op of that hey are continously calling for other verfications and insisting that they will send all these vouchers which i am not interested in.

travel port opened head office in lucknow for u.p . The company ASM Mr.Tarun (mo.no.[protected])has appointed M/S balaji motors Bareilly, as a distributer for travel port holidays.saying that co.will open only one distributer in a city,after this company open three more distributers in city.giving conditions that of Rs.5000 is for non refundable security and rest of amount company will provide there "VAVPAC" packages.giving condition that if company fail to work in the city travel port will return all the amount including non refundable security amount of Rs 5000.all the distributers diposit amount in their Lucknow A/C.THERE AFTER TRAVELPORT NOT WORKED IN THE CITY OVER 6 MONTHS.AFTER THAT LUCKNOW OFFICE ALSO BEEN CLOSED."TRAVEL PORT" CHEATED WITH ALL THE DISTRIBUTERS WITHOUT REFUNDING ANY AMOUNT.
