[Resolved] Crompton Greaves - Wet Grinder — No replacement for faulty wet grinder | |
I had purchased a wet grinder of Crompton Greaves make of 2 litre capacity on[protected] from M/s Mala Agencies, Nana Peth. In fact the grinder was booked at ICE Exhibition and the delivery was given on[protected]. The Sales Executive at the ICE Exhibition who had explained the featues and advantages of the wet grinder as compared to the Mixer-Blender. However, on the first use of the machine during the first week of June, 2008 we observed that the wet grinder is not working properly as the grinding could not be completed even after running the grinder for two hours and finely we had to grind the masala on the mixer. It took me about three weeks to locate the Crompton Service Centre and the complain was lodged in the last week of June '08 [Complaint No.11147]. The technician who visited to check up agreed that the machine is faulty and needs to be replaced. After making several calls the service centre in-charge informed that the company has changed. A fresh compaint was lodged on 17.07.08 [Complaint No.A129]. The technician was deputed by the Service Centre after making several calls for about two weeks. The technician after thorough check and reporting with the service centre incharge over phone agreed that the machine is faulty and agreed to replace the same within a weeks time. Since there was no response, we called after a week only to be informed that the technician who had inspected was the junior technician and they would depute a senior person. After several call the senior person from the agency [Mr. Manik] visited to inspect the machine and he too agreed that the machine is faulty and needs to be replaced, and he agreed to do so within a week. Since there was no response, I called the senior in the Service Centre only to be informed that the persons who visited earlier were only the demostrators and not technicians and that he would depute a senior technician. The person who visited during the first week of September reported that the machine is okay but the stone needs to be replaced. However, the same person called me today that the company will not replace the stone even though the machine is under waranty and the same has to be purchased from the local market.
