[Resolved] Reliance Landline — Defective telephone set and no connectivity most of the time | |
Please read the text of mail sent to Reliance customer care Ref: Complaint on defective landline telephone set and network problem (0251 – 3233341 – Vikesh Agrawal) Please consider that this E-Mail is written after acute harassment by Reliance outlet at Kalyan Shivaji Chowk. I took the Reliance Landline connection from Kalyan branch of Reliance somewhere in November 2008. Since then I am facing problem with respect to network, the telephone instrument and connectivity in the premises. There is persisting problem of connectivity, many a time while placing an outgoing it says “To resume service contact reliance customer care”. The family and friends are always complaining about not availability of the landline phone. We have missed many important calls, all by the grace of Reliance Land line phone. We faced a miserable situation once in emergency when the landline phone was not working (as usual). There is no proper response received from the Reliance Branch (Kalyan). On contacting and asking for the surrender the branch personnel says I can surrender at any time and take my deposit amount back. Why should I take only the deposit amount back? The defective telephone set was intentionally sold to me. I want to surrender the phone. I want full refund of the telephone connection, the cost of petrol spent on visiting the Kalyan Branch for almost 15 times, the cost of harassment, the cost of missing the calls due to non connectivity. After harassment of 2-3- months, the Reliance technician visited our home and confirmed that the handset is defective and there is network issue in the building. He confirmed that we can get replacement of the defective handset and for connectivity they will place some boosters in the premises. The Reliance outlet is still not ready to replace the phone instrument. The Reliance Kalyan branch is just neglecting the matter. After repetitive follow up, the branch personnel says that we need to again check the lines and the connectivity. Please understand that after all these harassments, I will not entertain any person from Reliance to enter my Home now, if required they will have to come with their seniors who have authority to take decisions. I asked (Reliance branch Kalyan) about the guarantee of proper working conditions after replacement. The branch personnel says ‘we can’t say anything’, and the cost o[censored]p-gradation of the telephone has to be paid by the customer. This is really pathetic. I want to know what my mistake is, its that I took Reliance connection? I lodged the complain within a month from the date I took the connection. Why should I bear the cost of new handset?
