[Resolved] Dell — Vijay Sales and Dell not providing me Windows 7 CD

I have purcased dell 1545 inspiron Laptop on 24/10/2009.It came with preinstalled Windows 7. But I did not get the genuine Windows 7 CD.On asking it from the retailer shop(Vijay Sales,Mumbai) from where I bought the Laptop ,the retailer is not ready to accept that he has not given me the CD's.Tell me what should I do? They have also not mentioned about the CD in invoice. Then I contacted the Dell people.There my call keeps on transferring from one end to other like a pendulum.ie from sales dept to Technical one.And each and every time I have to give them my service tag number of my laptop and explain them the whole story. I have contacted Dell people earlier also in February.But no result.I have wasted my momentus time in such mediocre activities. It's very frustrating and pathetic. Tell me what should I do? DELL — Acessories not providing

Hi,

I have Dell Inspiron 1520 laptop from Dell. Before my complaint I want to tell you Dell does its business over phone. If you want to purchase any of the dell products you have to call there Bangalore office and over the phone they take order. There is no reseller in any city.

It’s been around 2 years I am using my laptop and now my laptop needs replacement of battery. When I am starting my system it’s asking me to change the batteries as it has reached its end of life.

Regarding this I gave call to Dell customer care 2 month back and they told they don’t have the batteries and will update me as soon as it will come. They have said in one month time they will get the batteries. After waiting for one month I again gave them call and they said they have stopped manufacturing the model and they can not provide the batteries now. They have asked me to purchase any compatible battery from local stores. Just want to highlight in news paper we can see number of laptops are blasting as people use non recommended batteries. I told him clearly that I will go for Dell original batteries only. He said wait for 2 more weeks.

Today when I called these people they have asked me to purchase from Local shop or EBay. When I asked them if you can’t produce the accessories why are you selling the product the customer care person hanged the call. I again called them and spoken with new person. He has the same reply. He said he can’t help me. I told him "Dell is doing business over phone and you are the only contact point for me to dell. Please tell me who can help me". He said we can not do anything about this. He again said its wasting time speaking with me and said already I spent 8 minutes with you. He asked me to go for local shop option. According to him I am wasting his time. When I cleared that I have spent Rs. 50000 for my laptop and this is important for me. I also told him that you are there to resolve the issue and you are there to attend calls how can you ask me to hang-up the call. Then he himself disconnected the line.

This is the extreme point for me. I again called to complain and the call operator transferred the line to sales department and they have said they can not take complain. I don’t know what to do. I can’t use compatible batteries and my system will crash anytime.

I just want to highlight:

Behavior of the customer care was very bad
If dell can’t provide accessories than why it’s cheating customers selling products?
