[Resolved] Demat Account — non opening of account | |||
sir I have a trading account with edelweiss since about last 4 months ago.my client ID is 10814323 and my book nmbr is 81706. my yes bank account is not being opened till today despite my providing the necessary documents and also that I was made to provide a cheque of rs.1000 for the opening of this zero balance account. as we are well aware of the fact that a bank account is must to be opened alongwith demat account but despite my completing the formalities and repeated requests no heed is being paid towards it. pls look into the matter. my name is shweta bawa and my cell no. is [protected]. whom are you following up with- edelweiss or yes bank? whom have you given money to- edelweiss or yes bank?
if you have given money to edelweiss (on their promise of having you an account opened with yes bank) then you approach edelweiss and request for closure of demat account, telling them that they haven't been able to give you desired service and ask for the refund of the money. this trick might help you.
four month is too much a time than what is usually required for opening a bank account.
what reply are they giving you when enquired?
this is for the benefit of others:
when you go for a opening a demat account, do so in the same bank where you have already a savings account. because if you are frequent trader then there will be frequent transfers (pay ins/pay outs) of funds to/from the bank account. if demat and bank account are from the same business house, it will be easier for you to follow up in case of discrepancy.
