[Resolved]  Dish TV — No service

I purchased DISH TV service online using the special online offer by paying Rs.690 on the 11th of January 2011
Installation was done on 12th January 2011.

Complaint 1:
Even though installation was done on 12th January I have not been able to view any channels till now. I get an error “301 signal not found”. I have complained several times in writing to [protected]@dishtv.in and on phone to their contact centre.

I have paid for their services fully and even after 13 days I have not received any service from DISH TV.

Complaint 2:
The technician charged Rs.990 for set top box again eventhough I have paid Rs.690 online.

I registered two complaints with customer care but have received no response.

Now I have written to their Nodal officer for Chennai and am waiting for a response.

It has been 13 days and I am out of about 2200 rupees and have not had a single channel yet

Kid you not, every time I have called their contact centre in the past 10-12 days I have got a standard response from their representatives "Our systems are down. We are unable to look up your account or register a complaint. Please call back after 2 hours". They have said this to me every two hours that I have called!!!

The only response I have got from them is through their customer care email id "[protected]@dishtv.in"

It has been exasperating dealing with these people.

PLEASE DO NOT BUY DISH TV.

My VC no. [protected] .I am suffering form last three month when i brought the dish tv to my home.I have paid 500/- to the local dealer in the name of installation .After that he said that i am calling DISH tv tachnician they will take 200. they will give you warrenty for 60 days.but they taken 200 & when i called them again, they came & asked for 200/- again in 15day gap.After all the problem is same still it is not showing the channle. I have made 2 telefonic complaints and 8 sms complaint.theas are 14109385, 14098646, 14085623, 14085653, 14033779, 13952583, 13939476, 13863322. After theas complaints one person from dish tv number [protected] contect to me and making fool from one month, he aware of all this but unable to resolve issue.now i stop my renewual, and it has been deactivated.today i gone to dishcare Rewari service center he refusing, he has no complaint regarding and he is not giving reciving if i leav my STB to service center.so, i am guilty of dish tv that i brout it and i dont know how much i have to pay for my sin . do somthing if you can do.

I am Commander Kapil Mehta serving in the Indian navy presently posted at Wellington at Coonoor near Coimbatore.

This note is to inform you that your service providers are so pathetic in their service and i have the complete proof for making my allegation.

I am one of the 300 new connection my cantotenment subcribed to. I paid for a new connection of Dish tv on 22 Jul 08 and was promised that the connection will be activated within 72 hrs, with thw aim to watch the olympics on the dish tv.Today is 24 Aug olympics are over, 33 days after my payment and still my connection remains inactive.

My vc no. initially was [protected] and set top box no. was DST[protected] . I PATIENTLY BELIEVED IN MR BABU THE local dealer and finally registed a complaint for both againest the dealer as well as my inactive connection on 10 Aug . complaint no.15103855 and was promisednstern action by a mr vinay in the customer care.result nothing happened

Finally mr vikas from chennai contacted and his team declared on 21 Aug that there was a problem with my set top box ...imagine your dealers and technicions took 28 days to realize that there was a problem.On 23Aug a new set top box was installed with the no. 0848ABF20DS08676 .

Again it was assured that my connection would become active within 24 hrs result nothing happened

Now mr vikas of the chennai office and mr babu the dealer have stopped taking any calls and therefore i have to resort to writing on the net.

i assure you that i will post my complaint in all possible forums proving the mental agony and the cheating your company resorts to . i am also trying to write to mr subash chandra and to all the blogs of which i am a member.

as far as your customer care no is concerned why dont you try it once and i assure you that you will be on hold for a minimum of 15-20 mins before a rep picks it up. great going

Dish TV should pay a reasonable amount as decided by consumer court for the loss incurred by my family in not able to watch the different channel those could not viewed by us because of loss of channel for which we have paid the subscription from November 2006 to November 2008. (At least Rs.3, 00, 000/-)
Hiii i Am Himanshu Naidu, I Got Dish Tv Connection In 2 January 2009 . I Have Seen all channels with no any disturbance only 15 days after 15 days i have booked daily one complaint about my dish tv but there is no service provided by dish tv call center they logged our complaint but no any action will be taken ..

my personal suggeestion for all others is that please do not purchase DISH TV

Dish TV Not Working Last 2 to 3 Months My VC No IS [protected]
i m not happy with ur service.it's 2 months ago, i bought dish tv & now it have so much problem. most of times it shows that"conditional access" problem.now its showing "no signal found". I made complaint to your distribtor here in Bhopal To no.[protected] but he is not snding any technician to get it repaired. Please take it is a seriesly.

Dear DishTV,
I am customer of your No. 1 (?) service provider company. my VC no. is [protected]. On 29 th September 2010 I recharged 200 rs. but by mistake recharge done on VC no. [protected]. I registered complaint against this but till date problem is not resolved. I am taking followup everyday 5 yo 6 times a day. some points regarding this communication with your executives on your customer care number.
1) Every time your executive told me that your problem will get resolved in 2 hrs.
2) Every time they said that your complaint is in process.
3) today on 3/10/2010 my account got active on paylater basis for 3 days upto 5/10/2010. I didnot requested for that. And your executive told me that I have to pay 20 rs. for that I have never given request. Then how you recharge my account without my information? And why I have to bare 20 rs?
4) today on 4/10/2010 one female executive told me that I have called today only and no record of calls showing from 29/10/2010. Infact from 29/10/2010 I am calling everyday 5 yo 6 times per day. how it is possible?

Today's condition is my problem is not resolved yet. and The amount 200 rs is not credited in my account. Till now your executive is saying that your complaint is under process. Its rediculous.
Also You are not ready to confirm throug dealer
On 29/09/2010 I have provided all the details regarding this about dealer ID, shop name, mode of payment. But yet problem is not resolved.

If you are not able to solve the problem, and I am not getting satisfaction from your side, then please disconnect my account and take my dish and set top box in your custody. Now I will prefer another service provider's service rather than you. Because you are not able to resolve my problem within 3 days.

You are very fast in service and with good quality, so I was preferring your service. But this is the worst experience I have faced from your side.
