[Resolved]  Florsheim Shoes India — Customer Service , Quality

I bought Florsheim comfort shoes online from Metro Shoes and the sole got worn out in just 8 months. Surprised after wearing the same brand for past over 8 years.

I learnt thtat the shoes sent to me was 2005 make.

I was told by another shie sho in Mumbai that it is beacuse of old stock.

Please beware while buying old stocks of florsheim.

True..even i bought a Florsheim shoes from Mochi, Pune for 5500 Rs. The sole of the shoes were torn apart in just 6 months and even the leather got cut. Is this the quality of the shoes. No one is entertaining the problem . I was a loyal customer of this brand but looking at the service and quality of the product I won't buy a Florshein again in my life.

I must thank all the persons who have given their comments above. I had almost decided to buy a new pair of Florsheim shoes. Incidentally, it would have been my first purchase of this brand. Thanks to above feedback reg its poor quality & performance, I have changed my mind, and will go for some other brand. Any suggestions?

I bought a pair of florsheim shoes from Metro Shoes outlet at Karol Bagh recently. On the first day o[censored]se the heels cracked totally. This is most unbelieveable. Having spent so much money on the shoes I expected the shoes to last at least for six months. Can anyone tell me where I can lodge my complaint.?

It seems the problem is also in Canada. I bought a pair of safety shoes, after 5 months, the leather peeled away from the toe. I went back to the store I purchased them from and was given the same offer as the Australian person, here is a discount off your next pair. Unacceptable! So i contacted Florsheim hoping they would step up and solve my issue. They required me to mail in the shoes. I did, they then claimed that they had never recieved them! Now I have no shoes and no one there even cares!! All we can do, is not buy them anymore. Personally I will not purchase anything from a retailer that sells them. When I walk into a shoe store, that is my first question, if they have them, I leave.

I have convinced evryone I know that Florshiem is overpriced garbage and no one I know will ever buy them again.

I have been using this brand for 10 years since. But the pairs I bought just 8 months ago from "Metro Shoes, Karol Bagh, New Delhi" bursted yesterday. My earlier pair bought 2 years ago at same store in New Delhi bursted in July'10. I thought I have abused this pair and so was consciously using the later. But to my surprise the latest one also bursted.

I had great faith on the Brand. But it turn out to be a murky brand- of late. I would love to advise our young guys to go for any other Brand than this. The company has no ethics in receiving complaint on their web-site. They won't last this decade. - S.Chandrasekaran, New Delhi (Mob:[protected]

I would like to submit that Metro Shoes, Karol Bagh, New Delhi have replaced my shoes bought from them 8 months ago on approaching their Customer Services. Hence I withdraw the complaint posted.

I am also one of the fully dissatisfied cutstomer of Florsheim Shoes. For the first time I purchased the shoes from Metro, Malad (West), Mumbai on 22 Nov'09.Price was Rs.4295/-. I used the shoes just for 6 months. The sole of one of the shoes totally is integrated. When I approached Metro, they told me the guarantee is valid for 3 Months only from the date of Purchase, hence they will charge Rs.450 for Repair.When I protested in shock, the outlet Manager told me they will send the shoes to the Company at Chennai for repair and it will take 2 Months !!. After a week they phoned and informed me that I will hae to pay for repairing the shoes. This shocking ad discusting. Unable to believe that a branch reputed US Co producing so hopeless quality shoes in India and still surviving.

I am facing the same problem with Florsheim, bought in Leatherman, Coimbatore. The sole dis-intgerated within 6 months. The dealer Leatherman, Coimbatore is very decent enough to accept the quality problem and has assured me to replace it with some other brand, thereby he does not loose a good customer like me.

i have taken a Florsheim pair in new delhi [ india ]
after few months sole of one shoe got cracked.
i just visited to the store keeper and he very difficultly agreed abt the shoe...if this kind of material and service woukd be there then i am afraid about Florsheim.

I was gifted 2 pairs(Black&Brown) of Florsheim shoes costing Rs.3995 each in Mumbai and I have used them very sparingly, the soles of the shoes are disintegrating within 6 months o[censored]sing it. I am appalled at the so called quality of this shoes.I was told by the company to give it at any Metro Shoes outlet and e-mail them the receipt no.But Metro shoes has this week charged me Rs.410 per pair for repairs by intending to replace the sole with a similar sole which is not Florsheim at all. I strongle feel cheated by the company and would not recommend anyone to purchase Florsheim shoes in the future due to the lackadaisical and uncaring attitude of the company.

The florsheim shoes sold in India do have bad soles that last not more than six months. I have two shoes with cracked sole and they do not have the same soles to replace. Uppers are good but the soles are bad. After sales is terrible.Dr SD

problem is with the distrubetor appointed by them in india and bad policy of company, what ever product we get in india is four to five years old dead stock, left over of other countries

THIS NEW PAIR OF FOOTWEAR HAS ALSO TORN FROM THE BOTTOM.I HAVE BEEN USING ONLY FLORSHEIM SHOES FOR THE LAST 20 YEARS AND I HAVE GETTING A VERY GOOD LIFE OF 5 TO 7 YEARS. Dear Sir,
I am a regular customer of florsheim brand of shoes but sole of the one pair of shoes cracked just after the 9-10 months after the purchase. The pair was bought from METRO SHOES, Shaharaganj , Lucknow. On complaint ,I was told that sole would be replaced but after few days ,received a call from the store that the sole of that model was not available and sought consent for the sole of another model .I aws told that the shape of the shoes would change a bit. However ,to my utter surprise that after replacement of sole , the pair of shoes has become so uncomfortable that it could not worn for more than one hour. Again on complaint to Store ,I was told that sole of that model was not available.

KINDLY suggest WHAT SHOULD I DO NOW WITH THE SHOES . What this company of such international repute is doing ? Paying[protected] per pair is our fault. THERE is no after sales service. Stores are managing at local level .

Request to do something to make the sole available in the store i.e. METRO SHOES ,Shahara ganj ,LUCKNOW ( UP ) 226001, details of which can be obtained from store.
