[Resolved]  Godrej EON Refrigerator — refrigerator

my name is vinay and i visited reliance digital store on 15th Sept to buy a refrigerator and a microwave oven along with my wife. we selected godrej refrigerator and a microwave and when asked about co lours available the staff told that gray is the only co lour that godrej manufactures for this model refrigerator. we believed them and paid thirty one thousand five hundred.Next day i received a refrigerator which wasn't new and was having multiple scratches on the body. later when i checked godrej website i found the model is available in 3 colors.subsequently after nearly 20 calls the technicians came and agreed to replace the unit within 24 hrs. after running around the store for over a week the store manager finally agreed either to send the color of our choice(shell wine red) or to refund the full amount in writing by 23rd sept. which of course never happened. i kept calling reliance people but they told you must speak to godrej directly and were very rude and unresponsive. how can i speak to godrej when money is charged by reliance?
subsequently when i went to store again for 6th time and waiting for over 4 hrs they told me to pay Rs 954/- more for the color that we wanted else delivery is not possible.
worst part is after spending 32000/- rupees i was not eligible for dussehra/diwali offers for which they have been advertising in every available magazine and newspaper because the offer was valid from 17th Sept. I fail to understand how can someone be so rude and unapologetic and when they have not delivered the product then how can they say that your deal was done before the offer period. The deal is not over till the customer gets his product at home.
I am appalled at the service and the cheating attitude of salespersons present at their store.Presently im still awaiting my refrigerator..........and today is 1st October

Sir,
I have purchased a ipod (apple) which is costing around Rs12000/- from the
above said store.Actually i want to purchase a philips 8gb. But the sales men pursuaded me
that it's aworld class (which i agree) one and with their support. Here i have to tell u one thing that to down load any song or movie to the ipod you need the support soft ware from
apple company's web site. And the sales men (Rahul)told that the software is free to down load and if any problem comes in the download you please bring a pendrive i will copy the software from our computer.I agreed for that and tried it in my computer.It's not happend.
Imedeatly i contacted rahul and again rahul said the same thing that bring a pendrive &copy.
Mean while i tried some other site(CNET)&downloaded the software.But the software not working properly.Again i notified the problem in person in the store.At the time rahul is not avilable some other person (Mahalakshmi)attended and she showed the demo how to download and use. I came back to my house and tried in my computer & it's not done .Then i contacted my service engineer .He told because of my computer's high security standard it cant be downloaded.

Again I personally gone to the store and told the problem .They are not at all responsive and stand 30 minitues infront of them.Finally Mahalakshmi came and told rahul is not atall avilable if i want the soft ware i have to pay RS83/-. For that i annoyed and i argued with them.But they are stubbornly telling what rahul told is irrelevent.I told them that
it's not a question of Rs83/- if i can spend Rs12000/- that small amount is nothing& argued
that it's matter of honuring your word. But they refused. I got angry and smashed the ipod in front of them and told that when u r not honuring u r word i wont use that & barged out of the store.

In this matter i know that i over reacted but because of their behavior. I may lost Rs12000/- but i will not compromise in such standards in my life.

Actually i dont want to tell this to any body but i clodn't bear their inadequate
behavior those 30minitues. just i want to pore my anguish.That's all.
You can't expect more from Reliance. I have gone through the same horrible experience with reliance digital at A.S.Rao Nagar, Hyderabad. They are selling only old and defective products.
And yeah..We ordered for an Eon fridge of Godrej.We were satisfied with the color Gray as it suited our Tiles' color.When it was delivered we found it damaged at the corner.However, we accepted their promise of repairing and started using it.What shocked me is that it was nt capable of converting water to ice cubes(the most important feature that people expect or use to test the fridge).Our milk and curd went sour.Now I wonder what this piece will do at the least.I have asked for a replacement.Awaiting... :)

Reliance Digital / Godrej Refrigerator — No service after sales

I am a very upset customer of Reliance Digital's services at Hubli.
I had purchased a Godrej Edge Refrigirator from Reliance digital Store Vidyanagar Hubli, Karnataka and as promised by the staff at store no service of any kind is given by the company once the product is sold.
I have complained about the defecet in the Refrigirator several times on phone and also in person 3 times but till today no person has come down to provide the service and repair.
As such I would like to bring this to the notice of Godrej Co. also not to sale your products through Reliance digital Stores as they are not providing the after sales service.


Gist of my complaint: Dont purchase any products at the Reliance Digital Store as there is no after sales service
i fully agree to all the problems faced by people, coz i am 1 of them.i bought the fridge from snehanjali, neither them nor the company were ready to replace the piece when i 1st faced the problem within 2 months {in november, 2008]of my purchase date which is 29th sept.2008.the technician came and solved the problem saying there was choke in the cooling pipe.then again in mid january 2009 there was a problem of gas leak.on requesting 100's of times to replace and not to repair the piece, they still did what they wanted to do.ONE MORE REPAIR.gas problem was solved then in mid march there was toooo much of noise coming from the fridge on complaining again they came and solved but no replacement.now today is oct 30th 2009 again there is gas leak problem.god knows when this problem will be solved.my godrej eon model no.is 36DZ worth Rs.25000
Agree: I am also faceing similar kind of problem. 4months over but no solutions yet.

I have also purchased a brand new Godrej refrigerator (Model Number:GFE25TZ/2011) from NEXT showroom of Marathahalli, Bangalore.
From next day I started getting horrible bad smell without keeping anything inside. I reported to Godrej consumer care service centre and registered a complaint on January, 2012. But I am frustrated with their innovative explanations to justify that it is not a problem and you will get the same from all refrigerator.

Every time I call their customer care and they give me a new story.

I really appreciate any help or suggestions on the same.
