[Resolved]  Godrej Split Air Conditioner — Poor Customer Service

I am disappointed and distressed over the thoroughly callous attitude and unprofessional approach of the Appliance Division of your esteemed Company. The facts of the case are briefly, as under:
I had purchased a split type Godrej room air conditioner on March 23, 2008 from Anandamela, Burdwan.After a month of installation It was observed that the Unit was making great noise.The Service provider was informed and on 12.05.2008 their representative attended the air conditioner and stated that the sound is not alarming and the machine is O.K. After a month again it was noticed that water was driping out from the out door unit. The service provider serviced the air conditioner on 25.07.2008 and again declared the machine O.K. After a month, as the intensity of summer lowers down we stop using the air conditioner.Again at the end of February 2009, when we start using the said air conditioner it was found that the effect of cooling was not upto the mark. Again a complaint was lodged and after a couple of reminders the service provider came to attend the air conditioner on 7.3.2009. This time they took away the outdoor unit and returned it with charging gases. When I asked them why an airconditioner not a year old and run for six months have to be recharged with gas, they gave no explanation. Though I wrote in the service card that "till the cooling effect is not satisfactory", nobody till date bother to make an enquiry about my dissatisfaction. It is to be noted that at that point of time the said air conditioner was under warranty. Now on March 04, 2010 while the air conditioner was on it suddenly stopped working. A complain was lodged at Godrej Care Vide No. 108839 dated 06.03.2010. After repeated reminders the service provider turned on 16.03.2010 and detect that there is P.C.B. problem. They took away that section for repairing. . I have since then been in constant contact with your concerned department/officials and have put in numerous telephone calls over the last 18 days. Although each time I was assured that necessary action would be taken, no corrective action has been taken till writing of this letter. This kind of callousness and total disregard of the customer’s grievance is unbecoming of the high reputation of the Company of your stature and standing. This experience is unbelievable and, to say the least, disgusting. This has caused me mental stress and inconvenience as I could not utlise the air conditioner for the purpose of which it was installed..
I do hope that you will personally look into this complaint and take prompt corrective action at the earliest. In case no prompt action is taken, I will have no option but to take recourse to legal action and/or such other action as may be deemed fit.
I am endorsing a copy of this letter to Shri Adi Godrej.

VIVEKS / GODREJ — IMPROPER INSTALLATION OF AC LEADING TO POWER LEAKAGE

I HAVE PURCHASED AIR CONDITIONER OF GODREJ FROM VIVEKS OF ADYAR IN CHENNAI, FOR INSTALLATION THEY HAVE TAKEN 1650 AS CHARGES DUE TO IMPROPER INSTALLATION, IT IS LEADING TO POWER LEAKAGE TO ENTIRE HOUSE WHERE WE COULD NOT TOUCH ANYTHING AT HOME. NOT EVEN TOUCH VESSELS FOR USAGE OR USE TAP FOR WASHING HANDS. THIS SERVICE IS DUE FOR MORE THAN 12 HOURS, IF ANYTHING HAPPENS TO MY FAMILY MEMBER DUE TO ELECTRIC SHOT WILL GODREJ COMPANY WILL BE ABLE TO REIMBURSE THE HUMAN BEING. IRRESPECTIVE OF SEVERAL CALLS AND VISITS TO VIVEK DEALER OF GODREJ THERE IS NO ACTION TAKEN TILL NOW 09/03/2010 15:00 HRS SINCE 08/03/2010. NO ONE IS READY TO REPLY. LOOKING FOR SOME SUPPORT TO TAKE ACTION AGAINST GODREJ AND VIVEKS

Dear Sir,
i have purchased air conditioned spilit as mentioned in above subject on 26/06/2009 from AKASH TRADING, DVC MARKET, BTPS, BOKARO, JHARKHAND, but it creats problems first on August'2009 having gas leakage which has been attened by your mechanics, during winter season a/c has been in off condition, when it has been pushed on it again creats problems with gas leakage, i have repoted with toll free no. and attended after complaining on 05/03/2010 under complain no. 171034, it again is giving problem after 15 days of attending the same I again complained on 26/03/2010 for non functioning of A/C and still now it has been left unattended ignoring my complain.
Sir, i have puchased a/c for use not for keeping in show case, the service is too poor to get purchase another product of brand name Godrej in future, it is better to replace the a/c for trust your business unless it is replaced soon i shall have constrained to knock the door of consumer forum. you may please be kind enough to take intiative to replace a/c and refix the same on your own cost, as the a/c is on guarantee and i am afraid what will be possible after expiry of the guarantee period of your product.

Dear customers,

kindly do not buy the product of Godraj. Do not Suffer as Bikash kumar Das kindly forward to others. It is happened to me also. Within two days after purchase the Aplit A/c bought from the Godraj is not working given complaint no response from them. They are asking me to contact the service provider and service provider not responded even after personal complaints. I am ashamed of buying product from the famous company called GODRAJ.

Friends do not purchase. I am also planning to go for the consumer forum.

SPLIT AC — Poor Customer Service

This is to bring in to your notice how poor your customer service is. I have been a user of your products starting from a fridge, a washing machine, microwave and a split ac from the last 15 yrs.But these days something is very wrong with the service that i get.......a service doesn't start with the word "NO". I happen to get this word quite often whenever i call up your customer service number.But this is not the case with the other consumer products that I have got with other companies.Truly either they know how to make better products or they know how to tackle customer complaints........I would give you a small issue to solve if its in your hands.
I bought this Godrej AC last yr in the month of April ....I got my first service in November ..... With repeated calls i got my second service in the month of April......only to be told that my warranty expires in a few days and either i take my last service in the next few days.or dont get it.

Doest it seem rational and logical......Plz suggest

Split wall-mounted Air Conditioner — Not Working

Purchased on 11.05.2010, Model No. FLS18AAC. Serial No. JAAOGBA[protected], Three Preventive Maintenance services not done by Local Agency. At present the ac is not working. Kindly take a needful action.
I have a new split A.C of Godrej 12FE3, i purchased before 1 week, i purchased it from the TAMBARAM VASANTH & CO.But from the third day there is water leakage in the indoor unit. spraying water continuosly.I called to customer care and my complaint nos.were 444883.there is no proper response from them they are like DEFF.i called them for more than 20 times.after one week they sent the technician.he just opened the indoor unit fully he just played like a toy and said there is no fault in the machine.but i dont know where the leakage is coming from.technicians could not detect the problem.i spoke with Mr.Vijay Chennai Incharge for godrej.he is saying that he will be coming to see the problem.if he cannot detect they will send some person...like this it will go on...what shall i do now...
I had purchased a Godrej Split air conditioner wall mount (Indoor Unit serial no:[protected]
Model no:ESC123FS3WIH ) from Goa (Date of purchase : 2 April 2011) .There in warranty card mention 5 year compression warranty and 1year other product warranty.
It is not working properly since November 2011. As per request your service person visit there and they told that blower slow because of the power board capacitor . Checked 2 or more times and not replaced the power board, Still complaint remaining and I am not happy with your service and frustrated.What I need to do. I think to proceed it in consumer court. Not expecting such delay from authorized dealer like you.
I hope you will give a reasonable and fast solution for this issue.
