[Resolved]  HDFC Bank — account closure

i have submitted the bank account closure application on 02/04/2009 and also pay the due amount, but when i ask them when you are going to close my account, first day (02/04/2009) they said will do it after lunch, next day they said server is not working, we will doit within a day. but still no reply. and they are not answering my question properly, just try to ignore me.

pls help me how to close my account.SAVING ACCOUNT # [protected] OF HDFC BANK, PARK STREET BRANCH, KOLKATA ON 02/04/2009 .

i want to inform u that i have submitt a request for account closing in ur ludhiana feroz gandhi mkt branch becous of bad behaviur in branch on 5/3/09 but still this is not closed by them i have reciving for date of 05/03/09 but till date this is not closed

ACCTUALLY HDFC BANK IS NOT GIVEN RIGHT WAY SERVICE FOR HIS COUSTOMER. & ALSO HDFC BANK EMPLYOEE IS DOING PRESUER IN COUSTOMER FOR COMPLET HIM TARGET.

i have a saving account with a/c no.[protected] in hdfc bank at parle point ,surat gujarat branch .
a/c is almost 5 years old & i have not received any notice or comlplaint from bank from starting of account till 3 days ago.
but i received letter from bank dated 24/12/2010
signed by mr.anindya mitra senior vice president that bank is going to close my account within a month without any reason.
i contacted branch manager and also e-mail to hdfc bank @ grievance.[protected]@hdfcbank.com but anybody does not give me any reason regarding accont closing.
i want to write u @ me that
(1)my a/c is almost 5 trs old and no complaint/notice i received excaped this one.
(2)no ttransaction of huge ammount is done.
(3)a/c has not being used for any bussiness purpose.
(4)i have purchased small amount of mutual fund and shares through net banking and amount was transfered to the reputed broking houses
(5)no of return cheques are negligible during last 5 years.
(6)not done any anknown transaction .
so sir i want some help

I have received the similar letter from HDFC bank on Dec 24th, 2010. Did you get any help on the complaint above?

Recently I have recieved a letter from HDFC bank dated 24th Dec that my will be closed within 30 days.Bank has not given any reason.It only says that my type of transaction are such that they can not handle it.So what the Banks are for.In the age of net banking if one can not do transaction then why promote net banking..Now bank has no interest in saving accounts.

No sms no email how can they decide that.Bank is making me feel as I am a criminal.

I am extremely hurt by bank's behavior.More customers have received letters like these.

I want to log a complaint for HDFC Bank. My father had a saving account in HDFC Bank. In February 2011, he got a mail from HDFC Bank asking him to close the account. This is despite the fact that he has always maintained proper balance in his accounts and only issued couple of cheques from that account. Although now he has closed his account, this is extremely unprofessional on part of HDFC asking consumers to close the account in such a manner. The consumers are initially persuaded by HDFC executives to open the account, transfer all their deposits into the bank and finally have to face this inconvenience and unprofessionalism from HDFC.

I also have preferred customer account in HDFC, although I haven't received any such ridiculous communication from HDFC, I am seriously thinking of closing that account.
My name is Chetan Rathod and I am having Current Account with HDFC Bank at Virar which is in Thane. I am tax consultant and my nature of business is that I have to pay taxes of my client through netbanking which is being done manadtory by the government of India. To my surprise I had received letter in the month of april indicating that my account will be blocked for making such heavy net banking transactions. I had also being using the net banking facillity for paying salaries to my staff, credit card payments, mobile bill payments, electricity bills and such other payments.

I had visited to my branch to give the explanation for the same and they had told me that they will be forwarding mail for the same. In the month of July when I had gone to ATM to withdraw money I was known that account was being blocked and even bank doesn't have courtesy to give me a call or mail me or send me the letter. My account was being blocked without intimating me. Please help me out in this, I would like to make a claim of Rs. 50000/- for my loss since I was not in a position to issue any cheques or deposit it in my current account
I have got an email from HDFC on June 2013 saying that my account will be closed in a month as I was not maintaining average 10K balance in a month. But its not correct. I was maintaining 20K per month. When I requested customer care to provide an answer for that, I havent got any response even after 2 weeks. I am not getting proper reply from phone banking also. It seems they dont even have branch manager's mail ids. I dont have trust on HDFC anymore. They should not threaten the customers like this. Now, I dont know whether to continue transactions with my HDFC account or not.
Hi I have an account in Nugambakkam branch which was my previous salary account & also in Gopalapuram. Both are my salary account. I have informed them at the time of account opening in Gopalapuram branch. The staff from HDFC received my signature for closing my previous account in Nugambakkam branch. It happened before 8 months. Till today they are deducting amount from my account which is in Gopalapuram branch. When I placed a call they told my previous account is in active and told to give closure form again. I am fed up with this HDFC bank from the initial start.

I am senor citizen (age 65 )suffering from knee pain .Hence not able go HDFC Bank .I had applied for closing My saving account on 22 Jan.2015 still they are not closed my saving account .I had filled Closing account form on 22 Jane 2015.In spite of closing my account they have send me SMS Minus balance 6852/- .It give me great shook .
