[Resolved] Hindustan Unilever Marvella Water Filter — premature battery expiry | |||
1) we are a nuclear family consisting of three members and had got above mentioned water filter fitted in august 2010 with the assurance that the battery had a capacity to filter 2250 liters of water . However we were surprised when the water filter started leaking in NOVEMBER and we were informed that the leakage was due to the battery which had expired. On contacting the office about the battery prematurely expiring I was told that this could be due to high temperature above 24C . We were not made aware of this by the sales person and when I told this to the senior executive I was rudely told that I should have read the manual before buying the product. And, we were not shown the manual before the purchase of the water purifier.Accordingly, on being told that we did not filter/consume the above mentioned filtering capacity, the executive again rudely retorted back, not ready to accept our version. 2) Secondly, the above mentioned company promises service within 48 hours of lodging the complaint but, they did not adhere to it.
