Shakti Nagar Delhi on 3rd June 2008 In the month May 2009 it started creating problem There was complaint of no cooling & a compliant was made to helpline Please Refer to my complaint no[protected] dated 12th May 2009 Our AC was taken to service centre for Coil Replacement at :- Hitachi Service centre 311/330 B Chander Bhawan Mansook Singh Marg Near Subhash Place Madan Pur Khadar Delhi - Mr. Saudiliyas (Incharge) Mobile No. [protected] Junaid (Service Engenier) Mobile No. [protected] It's about 3 month only, the same problem arises . We called up customer care and made complaint vide complaint no.[protected] dated 12th August 2009 One service enginer Mr Sikandar visited my place & informed me that the gas has been leaked & we will have to refill gas . You will have to pay Rs 2000/- for refilling gas + service charges I asked for an explaination, why it has leaked n such a short time, he has no reasons I took up the matter through WEB Site / sent an e.mail to Hitachi Home & Life Solutions (India) Ltd. My mail was forwarded on 13th August 2009 to Ms Sonal Verma A-15, Mohan Co-operative Industrial Estate, Mathura Road, New Delhi, India Tel No.[protected] /[protected] I personally sent an e.mail / called to her and explained my problems. She replied that, she cannot confirm anything till the time she talk to her ASM, who was on leave at that time. I wait for couple of days, sent an e.mail again / called her, she refused to accept her service centre fault & advised me to pay gas refilling + service charges to service centre, i agreed . Now my disappointment / frustration level more increased, when service centre take 2 more days for attending this complaint. Again the service engineer visited, informed that, wewill have to replace coil also. Now you will have to pay 3500/- + 2000/- + service charges I was shocked to know all about I asked that the coil was replaced just exactly 2 month back by :- Hitachi Service centre 311/330 B Chander Bhawan Mansook Singh Marg Near Subhash Place Madan Pur Khadar Delhi – He informed, that they have not replaced coil at that time, that’s why the problem is still there I just want to know, why my coils ere not replaced under warranty & now why should i pay for the negligence of your service centre. I have other AC in the sam premies / at of office One LG / wirlpool / One TOYO (Japan) No other AC trobling as of Hitchi My LG ac is working or the past 5 years, never been sent to service station . I have got only routine services only. [protected], "He informed that the sound complaint will be taken care by your area service centre " We have received ac only for gas refilling, we have done our job Your Trinagar service guys clearly told me that without changing coil there is no posibility that it stop leakage !!! We will arrange pickup, the job will be done Mam, what's going wrong with company like Hitachi, such a big company This is a kind of service you are giving to your customers I have returned back my AC to the sam workshop This is final request i am making to all of you, please do needful on urgent basis Get whatever needful to be done as per actual rquirement, not temperory job that i need to undergo unnecessory harrasement once again "I would like to meet personally in this regard also to the area service manager, please call on my mobile asap !!!" I fully agree on totally unacceptable service levels by Hitachi and I think that some Govt. authorities have to look at the way Hitachi does business like this. At any cost Hitachi spoiling more new AC needing customers to be stopped.
DO NOT BUY HITACHI WINDOW AC. THE DAY I BOUGHT THE 1.5 TON QUADRICOOL MODEL, IT STARTED TO GIVE PROBLEMS. NO COOLING, COMPRESSOR WONT START. SERVICE ENGINEER SAID THE COMPRESSOR CEASED. THEY CLEARED THE CEASE AFTER GIVING A SHORT CIRCUIT TO COMPRESSOR. EVER SINCE THE AC IS CONSUMING 14-15 AMPS OF CURRENT WHEN NORMAL IS 11 AMPS. TWO TIME THE REAR MOTOR HAS FAILED AND I HAD TO REPLACE WITH NEW ONE AT INR 3000. NOW AGAIN AC IS NOT COOLING. THEY SAY ITS GAS LEAKAGE WHICH WILL COST INR 6000.
EVEN WHEN THE AC USED TO RUN, THERE WAS VERY MINIMAL COOLING AFTER HOURS OF OPERATION.

I have had very bad experience with my HITACHI window AC and follow up services. As an IIT Delhi electrical engineer, and a Quality Assurance Officer with 42 years experience, in Quality Inspection and Testing, of a wide range of products, both in India and abroad, I will not (Yes NOT) recommend anyone to buy Hitachi make AC's sold in India.
(a) The Company does not care. It makes no difference to them, if as a Customer, you are dis-satisfied.
(b) Time taken to attend a complaint ...is never a priority
(c) The take-it or Leave - it approach is painful for customers, but who cares?
(d) Quality of service(s) offered is at best very POOR, measured even to Indian Standards. Hitachi does not comply to Indian or International Standards
(e) There is a lot to write, but in short, my professional advice to potential AC buying Customers is ... JUST KEEP OFF HITACHI. Local (unqualified, uncertified, untrained, electricians and dealers are having a great time, making money, on a poor quality shoddy product. The copper cooling tubes are not copper, the high pressure pipes do not support high pressure over time, leaks develop within months, not years, and gas escapes.
You wanted to keep yourself cool, and so you bought the Hitachi AC. Now Repent. Even a court will years to sort out the issues. Modi wanted 'Make in India'...what we Indians want is "Make QualityProducts in India"...else get out. !!!

My Hitachi SummerCool is doing just fine, had right side flap's motor bursted twice with waranty period... after waranty too it busted but... managing... used almost 3 yrs rigoursly... Now its just not giving anything cool... suspecting a gase leak... would approach to tested local Office technician hope all would be gr8...
Even after the use of only one and half year hitachi window AC on routine service i come to know AC gas is very low and it will cost 3600₹ to fill...�����

they are cheat as well, couple of year back i done through paid service from Hitachi and there service boy had charged INR 750 as service charge and said i will get invoice on mail. but i was not received any invoice, got massage of free service, afterword, chased and went to all possible authority to get the invoice but it was worthless. moreover, in addition of poor service, they are costliest in all the way like ac service charges, visit charges, gas filling, etc. on the other side other brand like Voltas, carrier, Loyed do charge in between 250-350 for window ac but they start from 750 and simple visit charges 500+ tax.

Really surprised. I bought hitachi 1.5 ton AC 1.5 yrs back. As proper cooling is not happening, called hitachi service guys yesterday i.e. 21 April, 17 and got to know that there is leakage in coil.
I want to know here, under warranty period the same coil leakage problem arised and they hitachi service guy took AC to their workshop and get it repaired (welding). So why the coil was not replaced that time. Now the engineer telling an estimated expenditure of Rs 3250. (2750 for leakage correction and gas filling and 500 visiting charges.).
What is this and how can you behave like a low inferior profit oriented brand!!!
Also I was surprised to know when HITACHI AC engineer suggested that I should go for getting the coils painted which will avoid any leakages in coil and that would cost Rs 950 ( not done from hitachi side the engineers will do personally).
I sincerely request to look into this matter and get my AC rectified at the earliest at no cost burden.
Otherwise, Being in a professional life as a customer I'm sure I can convince at least 1000 families in 6 months time for not going to buy hitachi brand device based on my troubled experience.

Every year of service they ask rs 3000 for filling gas and their execution team give discount to service for getting service outside . For permanent reaching issue they want me to charge additional rs 5700 by replacing coil.

I have one 1.5 ton window AC and one Refrigerator 366 Ltrs. And I am not satisfied with the appliances and their after-sale-services.
There is only one solution for your problem that is to give them a lesson through the consumer court.
