[Resolved] Honda Siel — PATHETIC DEALERSHIPS 'COURTESY HONDA' | |||
I am extremely perturbed with the kind of service being provided by the Honda Dealerships & would request HONDA to make a single point agenda to ensure accountability & professionalism at the dealerships before it is too late. My observation about the dealerships is their lack of sensitivity to customers & their inability to preserve the image of HONDA as a brand stems from my bitter experiences with the dealership which I would like to share. I had bought the car on 6th June 2007 & on my very first visit to ‘Southend Honda’ for my first free service, the car was delivered with a dent & a scratch on the right fender. After raising a hue & cry, it was somehow camouflaged with a coat of paint. Little did I then realize then that it was a prelude to what most customers have been lamenting about 'Good Car but Bad Service'. I have been getting my HONDA CITY- ZX serviced from 'Courtesy Honda' since they opened this facility at Wazirpur. Considering that only engine oil needs to be replaced with routine customary checks & a wash, did not anticipate any problems till date. However was taken aback when I was collecting the car after the 40,000km service from 'Courtesy Honda' on the 10th July 2010. (a) The service as per the recommendation of HONDA had been carried out. (b) Was informed that the 'Gear Box Mounting - upper' had a crack & needed replacement, but could not be replaced since the part was not available. ‘Courtesy Honda’ also informed that this was not available with HONDA SIEL too & it would take a few days at-least to procure. The 'Service Advisor' advised that I could drive around without any adverse effect to the car even if it was not replaced immediately!!! Surprisingly this was arranged when I spoke to 'Honda Siel' on the 12th July 2010. If HONDA thought that this was minor, then the following, am sure, should not come as a surprise. The boot of my car had few dents just below the registration number plate which made the opening the boot difficult & thus creating a gap between the right tail light & the boot. The rear had marks with the right side of the bumper noticeably dislodged. On being told that I would escalate this to HONDA, the 'Service Head' had the audacity to suggest that this might have been caused by me since the rear bumper had no dents & was an oversight on the part of the 'Service Adviser' which was appalling & thus insinuating that I was lying, adding insult to injury. On realizing that I meant business he relented & offered to take care & remove the dents. However after escalating to HONDA on 'Honda One 2 One', I was informed that the same had been conveyed to them aswell, which was very demeaning. My earlier two experioences with 'Courtsey Honda' when I had given it for paint jobs has not been very pleasant either. The first time I was asked to collect the car without anyone checking that rubbing polishing had not been done. The second time, just before delivering the car, after the car was painted, the paint got scraped again by them. Today is the 16th July 2010 & I was advised to collect the car. I reached 'Courtsey Honda' after crosschecking with the 'Service Head' that the needful had been done & requested him to satisfy himself before I collect the car. With the past bitter experiences & wanting to ensure that everything was in order, I was shocked, dumbfounded & dismayed that the windshield was chipped & there were some more scratches on my car just above the bonnet on the driver side with a small dent on the passenger side of the bonnet. Although 'Courtsey Honda' has decided to make amends after going through the 'JOB CARD' several times to ensure that these were not existent at the time when the car was given for service, thus again pointing a finger at me. Besides the paint job earlier by them is already falling apart!!!!!!! I am at my wits end. Will HONDA wakeup & do something!!!! How much can one bear? HONDA must carry out unannounced inspections at the dealerships to ensure that the brand image of HONDA is not sullied & the dealerships are always on their toes. Honda Siel — Manufacturing Defect
I have 2004 model Honda City GXI. All the four doors of the car started rusting within 3 years. Inspite of repeated complaints through the dealer, the company is callous. I understand that some of the cars manufactured around that time also have similar sheet metal defect, which Honda refuses to acknowledge. It is sheer arrogance and indifference to the cusotmers who think that Honda is a big name that cares for quality. We Customers get fooled by these big companies who peddle their inferior products. hello,
i bought a honda jazz on september 2009 from "sunrise honda" which is a honda dealer located at siliguri, west bengal, india.
i had ut in a complaint regarding noise from my wheels : maybe brake pad replacement: to my dealer and that was a week ago. i even made calls to their 24 hr helpline, but their response has been far from fair, i can term it as poor.
they still say that they do not have the brake pad and that it will take one more week to get the brake pads. to top it all no one has even visited the car which is being kept in my garage for the past week.
is there anything i can do or you could do to help me.
this is the worst case of service i have ever got and i would highly recommend anyone trying or wanting to buy a honda car for use in sikkim to re think their options.
the service is very bad and please dont buy a honda car if this is the service being given to existing customers.

Honda Siel India — Manufacturing Defect
My Honda City is almost 5 years old. ALl the four doors have started rusting in spite of original paint. Was shown to Hallmark Honda at Nerul and also complained to Honda. No proper response. In the meantime also noted a few cars on the roads of Mumbai having similar corroding doors.Honda has manufctured defective cars and is careless about it.
