Address:Chennai, Tamil Nadu

hello all Indians,

the food provided in the hotel saravana bhavan is very costly we reallly donot such hotels for people, they are for earning money and not for real taste,
in economic india in tamilknadu, we donot want to run such hotel in food costly,

average meals costs 75 rupees ordinary and speacila meals is 95 rupees, who will eat here who is earning with real earnings with out pribe.
see let as consider the true facts of costs in living life, the price of food menus in hotel saravana bhavan should consider moderate, it not the mean of as they can fix the price of food, all indians should eat and consume.at this sitution the price should be some thing lowered and fixinf of food menu should be monitered by government with out that we should allow the hotel to run,
government shold reduce the price of food menu in hotel saravan bhavan.

whoi have given the authority of placing the hotel branches in foreighn countries, embassy should ask the questions what is the need of putting their branches or opening their braches in USA UK, and many
should all be banned for the good reason for people in india, until they sell the food in moderatge rate in meals and tiffins.
this will increase the mind set of poor people in india, if a hotel is placed all the foods should be moderate rate.if only rich people will eat and happy, poor and middle class people where will go for food..
according to India hotel and food act cases to be passed for the rate increase in saravana bhavan.

this web site, consumer compalints should ask questions for Hotel saravana Bhavan. for poor and medium class people.

very very bad hotel in tamilnadu ruins the people money day to day.

Mr ramangovindan,
pls take my comments in good spirits .
If we go by your argument, then should we also close all the five star hotels, because they are exorbitantly costly and do not cater to middle and lower middle class.
I am not sure of now, but I personally used to visit Saravana Bhavan outlet when ever I traveled to chennai on my company works. I found their rate to be at par with restaurtant that are in bangalore/mumbai/pune. If you find some specific isssues with the quality, they you can complain about that but a generic complain "why the govenment allows such restaurents to grow in India, please stop this " is very immature . McDonals charges 70 to 80 Rs for a Chicken Berger, they are present in 70% of the world, why did other govt not close them ? similarly KFC charges 110 for two peice of chicken, why did other govt not close them ? they are present in almost all countries across the world ?

Well today in India, on an average the middle class earns 30000 to 60000 PM (Husband and Wife combined) and I think they can easily afford to visit such restaurants.
Hi,

The Statment is True the Price is Very costly The normal Middle class people not able to eat Govt Fix the price not allow fixing over the Limit
Example 1 Cup of coffee is Rs.25 + tips 2 = Rs.27.

1/2 Liter Milk only Rs.13 We make 5 cups of coffee. The Price is very huge It is affected Ordinary Peoples.
Hi, I am frequent visiter saravana bhavan, ascendas park, taramani.Because my office is also in the same premises. The food items are very costly, increase the amount day by day. No airconditoner, not properly cleaned plate, etc. Everyday morning there is no a/c in this food court, when i ask the saravanabhavan incharge person, they replied like you have charged only for foodcourt & food, they cannot do anything if the aircon is not working, customer have to go and complain to concern food court manager, telling that it is not their responsibilities he added. I request the saravanabhavan manager to do the necessary action and do the needful for the money they have collected. We are charged more than 50% of normal food in outside but having less facilities. Thanks Ramesh
Hi, I am a regular customer for Hotel Saravana Bhavan, of its Chennai branches, from its early days. During those early periods, every thing was good and admirable. Afterwards the deterioration on not only the quality & quantity of food stuffs but also professional quality of service have started cropping up; and nowadays the supervisory and managerial personnel are hardly pulling up any erring staff and even the primary requirement of then & there table cleaning activity is not adhered of and the most glaring example on this is the Fast Food centre at Ashok Nagar. But the service rendered by them is best and superior to cops and thugs who use to come every now and then; of course an entitled lot but at whose cost?.And the periodical but phenomenal increase, effected on rate of almost every food stuffs, I do doubt, would be in any way proportionate to actual cost inflation.
I am also to add certain specific things. The quantum (weight component) of 'Pongal' and Vegetable mixed parotta is getting reduced, but the cost component of which remains at Rs.40/- and Rs.95/- now. If you ask for a cup of Chops as additional side dish for 'Mixed parotta', you are simply told that you are not entitled for it and if you insist, you are told to fore-go the originally allotted side dish of 'onion pachadi'. What I could not digest is the fact all the food items, right from idly, doshas, poori, chappathi, parotta, and even vada, bajjis are all given with a minimum of two and more side dishes; but only this 'mixed parotta' is served with only one side dish, while this item costs you Rs.95/-
Of late HSB is going beyond the reach of middle class now.
Thanks

Dear sir

We have been a regular customer at all your branches in chennai over the
last two decades. Today for the first time we had visited your branch at
arunachalam road, the food quality was really bad, water had the bore
smell. I complained to your hotel server and the person who took our order
and brought a manager who said cost will be adjusted for the briyani which
was really of bad quality, but when the bill came there was no cost
reduction and the manager refused to entertain our request for the cost
reduction which he had agreed .When we come to saravana bhavan we always
had a pleasurable experience.

We as a family will not be coming to this branch and will recommend to all
my neighbours and friends to not to visit this branch
