[Resolved] Ibp Petrol Pump — Fooling customers while giving petrol | |
This is regarding IBP petrol pump goo[censored]p while giving petrol, location of petrol pump is IBP petrol pump, Sarjapur road, Near Agra bust stop, Bangalore, Karnataka. I stopped my bike at IBP petrol pump this afternoon while going to office, my fuel indicator was completely down. I decided to take petrol for Rs 200, while doing so normally the indicator goes upto 50%. There were 2 guys at the petrol pump, one who was filling and other taking money. The customer just before me took petrol for Rs 100 and went, just when I stepped in near the machine they asked me how much petrol do I need. I gave my credit card to the other person and asked petrol for Rs 200. After I opened my petrol tank same guy asked me is it a debit or a credit card(just to keep my attention towards him when the other guy already started filling the petrol). When I turned my head towards the filling meter, I saw it was already filled for Rs 200. I doubt whether he had started it from 0 or Rs 100. When I checked my bike's fuel indicator it did not go up above 25%. I asked those guys whether they have really filled it for 200, they said yes and started arguing with me in their local language which I don't understand. I saw a note written on their filling machine "for complaints pls call: [protected]". I was getting late for office so I left that place and decided I would call that number once I reach office, I did the same but as expected that number doesn't exist. I was helpless, I don't know what to do now, there was no owner or manager at that petrol pump who I could have talked to, there is no point talking to those filling guys who would not understand my language. I also don't have any proof apart from that credit card receipt of 200 Rs. I am open to suggestions, I can fight for it. Was this information helpful? | |

I can totally relate with your complaint. I too had the exact problem yesterday and am looking for a number or an email where I can file a complaint. The only difference in my case was that I was in my car and got petrol worth Rs 500 filled. I too wasn't showed the "0" and two persons on two different sides of the car distracted me. Even the fuel indicator didn't rise upto the level it normally does with that much petrol amount. Anyways, do let me know if you have any emails or numbers I can use to compaint. I was also ripped by these guys in the same manner yesterday. and while searching for submitting a feedback i found your comments which are quite similar to me...I asked for 10 litres in my pulsar bike at IBP petrol bunk at maula ali insutrial area hyderbad. Two guys came on both sides of my bike and once i opened the tank the other person who takes the payment asked me whether it is a debit or credit card and once i turn back i saw the meter was crossing 200 Rs. i also checked my fuel indicator and saw it was less by 30% of normal times when i pour 10 litres..this is really ripping off people by IBP petrol bunks. and this has become a regular practice by the guys at bunks..
After checking your comments which are similar to me...i think all the IBP guys are trained for this in the same manner.

Petrol charges — Fake amount changed on debit card after 2 days of filling the petrol
Hi,I refueld my car with 1000 rs of deisel on Jan 17 2009. on 20 Jan i can see a debit of rs 25 additional. which is wrong.
I request to please lodge a complain agains the petrol pump.

Today I was cheated at IBP petrol bunk at RT nagar Bangalore. I have told them to put for 200 rs in both english and local language, and as if he is not aware he acted like he had put for 50 Rs. when i told him about my need he put again for 150 rs. I knew that he cheated me for 50 rs. I stopped my bike and argued that there is only petrol for 150 rs, where I have paid for 200 rs. With out much talk I got my money back . Guys beware of this petrol bunk as this was my seccond experience . this time it was hen just the morning business just started . Imagine how many vehicle would be getting in and how much they will be cheating. Only thing you can do is that stop your bike get support of others who is filling and get your money back. Also i didnt find any place to put a complaint.

I have been filling petrol from IBP petrol pump at RT Nagar for the past 8-10 months and I have caught them red handed atleast 5-6 times cheating while filling petrol. At first I thought that it was one or two employees doing it, but over the time I realised that all the employees especially ones standing at the road side pumps have been instructed either by their owner or have a nexus among themselves to cheat customers.
Their modus operandi is as below
1. Ask the amount for which petrol needs to be filled- in my case it was 100
2. Showed the Zero reading on the dial.
3. Just after inserting the nozzle into the petrol tank of my bike they distract our attention to some dust on the tank or on the engine.
4 by the time we look down they change the reading to either Rs 30 or Rs 50 and when we say that it was for a Higher amount, the fill the balance for Rs 70 or Rs 50.
5. Thus cheating us for 30% to 50% of amount paid.
Today I saw a man in front of me duped for Rs 25-70. He was distracted by the person collecting money to see his bikes engine and the person filling petrol stopped at Rs 228 and abruptly made the reading Zero he charged Rs 300. And when I was watching this he pushed me to go behind and was very rude and angry.
These Thugs need to be taken care of very seriously or innocent civilians will be looted by them...
Where is the Greviance number, where we can lodge complaint and some Action MUST BE TAKEN

When I bought new bike from showroom I was goofed up Rs. 300 completely by IO Smartcard distraction by many employee at Indian Oil Petrol Bunk, Banerghatta road, Near Bajaj Showroom, Bismillah Nagar, Bangalore.
After speaking to my friend he told me how they cheat people by distraction or changing the meter reading.
He asked me to be careful next time and don't remove your eyes off the meter when filling up petrol and never get distracted by them even if they act rude.

Is there nothing we can do about this? I have been cheated several times in the same way. I'm losing my trust in my fellow humans.
The only solution that i found was to fill fuel from shell. Though you don't find them everywhere. Also the fuel is 1-2 Rupees more expensive than the others. but i or my friends never found them cheating. I've been cheated by most others. but these guys ensure that i see the 0 before they start.
IBP petrol Pump — giving less quantity of petrol
Petrol pump of Indian Oil, in East Vinod Nagar, at morning time consumers are in hurry and petrol pump executive narrow the way and start only one machine. They fill less amount of oil becasue machine screen is not properly seen and they take advantage.I have caught them second time
I have also faced similar problem at IBP Petrol Pump, which is at Moula-ali, Hyderabad. I have been visiting that petrol pump for last 5 years. I recently realised that they are cheating. I lost thousands of rupees. Let's bring awareness to people sothat innocent people may not loose money.

IBP petrol pump at Neredmet X Roads, Secunderabad is supplying adulterated petrol. I filled up petrol in my scooter recently. Since then my scooter is giving starting problem. Sparking plug is filled with carbon deposit and after cleaning it will start. The quantity served is also not correct. The mechanics advice the customers in this area not to fill the petrol at this bunk. I request the concerned authorities to carry out a surprise check for both quality and quantity at this bunk.

I am residing in RT Nagar bangalore, I have been filing petrol past 6 months in IBP petrol pump in RT Nagar Bangalore, always I will fill petrol for Rs.200, when ever ask then to fill Rs.200 always they will fill Rs.50, later they will fill balance Rs.150, i never under stand why they are doing like that, if I fill pertrol Rs.200 for my Hero honda Pleasure in shell that 95% full, later i came to know that they are cheeting me.

then i given a compliant to owner they never take any action, i feel owner aslo involved in that froud, they cheeting an average 60% to 70% customers.
