ICICI Bank — Denial of service and Negligence in opening Demat account in ICICI Bank

Hi,

I am an Infosys employee. My company announced that they are about to give employee benefit shares to all o[censored]s. Most o[censored]s choose ICICI bank to open our Demat acocunts , since the bank is located within our office premises itself.

But the bank was very careless and negligent in handling our applications. I submitted the application in proper form to the bank authorities two months in advance to the deadline. BUt i never heard from them for 2 months. whenever i call them they told me that the application is in processing in head office. after month long delay, they called me one day to inform that there is a spelling error in my name. I came ot know that the error was solely becuase of the bank employee who filled my form and not because of me. Moreover he wrote my name entirely worng and because of that my application got struck in the head office.

Then i countersigned the correction and re-sent it, with the promise from the authorities that they will help me get the account in time , so that i can get the shares from my company. But that didnt happen. I made repeated calls and emails to the ICICI staff members in Mysore branch and all that i got was a blank answer and today i dont have my demat account and i have lost the opportunity to get my right to the Infosys shares as an employee of infosys.

I am expect ICICI staff members to repond to my query. But they are totally neglecting my complaint and simply keeping me wait, thinking that i will move away from the issue, if i dont get any positive reply within a specific time frame. But i will not.

I am looking forward to take stern legal action on the bank till they answer my query and come forward to offer proper explanation with compensation for my loss and mental agony.

ICICI Bank — Demat Acc Opening Delay

I am an NRI living abroad. I applied through ICICIBank to open an Demat account when I visited India in Dec 2008. I found ICICI totally inadequately staffed. I went to 3 branches listed in ICICI website offering Demat services. There were no one responsible who could enable the account opening. Finally I submitted my account opening forms in one Branch with all the necessary documentations. It has been more than 1 month and I haven't got any response. When I followed-up recently, there is no trace of my application. I am appalled at their service to say the least.
