I received an sms on my mobile mentioning that my cerdit card has been charged with Rs 10900, a transaction which I have not done, promptly I called the customer care number . The only department I was able to get through to was the "loss of card". They did block my card and transferred my call to the Disputes Department. The disputes deptt asked me write a letter stating the request no, which they gave me) and fax the letter to their mumbai office within 48hrs. He also mentioned that if I didnt fax the letter within this time, my complaint was as good as not registered.
The next day I promptly sent the fax. And since the nightmare has begun. I am trying to find out if their office has received this fax but am still unable to get through to them . The phone banking says, my card is not valid (since it has been blocked) and keeps putting me through the voice recording messages for my date of birth, pin no, mobile no., home phone no, work phone no...inspite of giving the phone numbers and my date of birth, the call doesn't get transferred to a human voice; it says you have exceeded the no. of tries and disconnects. The only deptt I am able to get through is the "Loss of Card" and they refuse to transfer the call and are unable to give me any information besides telling me the card is blocked. Any attempts at getting at information from them leads to them hanging up without answering any queries.
