[Resolved] IDBI Bank — IDBI Bank Home Loan | |
I have a home loan with IDBI Bank. I was paying pre EMI and I was not intimated by the bank for the normal EMI to be started. Bank was in hold of one of my cheque for pre EMI for which the amount was lesser than the actual EMI. They submitted my cheque having special instruction on it stating the amount should not exceeded to specific amount. This lead my HDFC bank to return the cheque. I requested Mr. Ingole from collection dept. of IDBI bank to stop the cheque payment and return me the cheque avoiding any further issues. But the cheque was re-sent the second time and I was charged fine for the cheque bounce. I am ready to pay the amount due with one condition to get a letter from IDBI bank for negligence with my request and removal of my name from defaulters list for loan. Bank is not ready to give me the letter and has also left my name as defaulter. I am very much upset due to such negligence of the Bank service. My name is still present as defaulter which lead to rejection of my other loans. These has already brought a mental torture due to such bad service from the Bank. Please guide me for the same. yes there is no answer to it from them. we had taken loan from them and they should treat us as a customer.

I am a customer of IDBI home finance who claims to be a part of IDBI bank. And I believe its a Service bank. I have taken housing loan in the month of Oct 2008 with a huge interest rate of 12% floating.
Even though RBI has decreased the Interest rate, these guys are still maintaining the same range. From past 3 months they are just assuring us that something good is going to happen and they are going to reduce the interest rate once the management team sits together.
But still this team as not considered our request nor that have followed the government policies of reducing the interest rate (rest all service bank have already reduced the rates upto 9% to 10.5%). Why is still IDBI Home Finance not following the rules and trying to help out their needy customers??
It’s very bad that reputed banks like IDBI nor government is interest in helping poor public nor they are interest in following policies which they have implement FOR THE PEOPLE AND FOR THE ECONOMY.
One more incident which happened at the time when finally IDBI paid me the DD on 28/11 (Friday), they charged me int. payment for 2 days (which was weekends), even though they knew that the DD will not be cleared within minimum of 2 working days this amount was charged to me. Is it fair???
So when they follow such things as a part of policies for their benefit, why don’t they follow government policies for the benefit of customers? Why they delay in decision making? Why is the banking strategy so weak?? As a good bank they should understand that without customer they can’t run the establishment.
As a financial institution they should be aware that a slight change in interest rate also plays important part in common men life and in an economy which is right now running on speculation and artificial inflation.

My Housing Loan A/c No. -- [protected]. I would like to bring to your notice that I got my PDC's changed to ECS and its been near to 4 months+ that I have not yet received my PDC' s back. Everytime I have to keep sending reminders to IDBI and am told it wld b returned soon. The last mail communication os on 16th March and i was told it would be returned soon.
Secondly, even though my EMI Date is 10th of every month, I am surprised to see my A/c being debited with the EMi amount on 9th itself, without any prior notification.
Thirdly, I have made partial payment towards my loan on 14th MArch 09 and till date I have not received any kind of formal letter from IDBI regarding my Tenure reduction (which was opted by me)...
This is actually ridiculous and I had no other option but to take your help in atleast getting a timely response from such a reputed bank...AFTERALL WE ARE PAYING TIMELY EMI'S TO THE BANK...IF 2RW FOR ANY REASONS.. MY A/C HAS LESS BALANCE THEN 10 PEOPLE FROM THE BANK WILL COME RUNNING UP TO GET THE EMI AMOUNT!!
IF I DO NOT GET ANY RESPONSE IN NEXT 24-48 HRS THEN I WLD B FORCED TO TAKE SOME STRICT ACTION AGAINST THE BANK...

the service is very bad and i was asked all the Documents once again and they have process as a new loan
(including Home Documents, Personal documents and all possible documents)
They collect one document per day to delay the process. The Loan manager doesn't know the Process.
Branch office and even head office employees are not sure about their own porcess.
They promise you to give the loan in 2 weeks, but it has take over a month now and still they are asking for documents again.
Please for your own saftey, do not go with IDBI housing loan
