[Resolved]  Idea Cellular — Poor Service & harasment

I took the post paid connection (Plan Economy 149) of Idea through the Personnel of Idea Cellular who visited my office on 23rd August 2008. As the address proof I gave him the Bank Statement and Pan Card Xerox. The Address mentioned in the Bank Statement was of my office, since I live in Paying Guest, so I don't have the required address proof. That's why I gave the address of my office. I gave him cheque of 299/ (99 for SIM, 200 as security deposit)-. He told me that whole Maharashtra would local call and 100 minutes of free Idea-Idea to call every month. He also told be that Security deposit of 200 will waive off by adjusting 100/- in 2 consecutive bills. He told me that the connection will be active in next 24 hours.

When the service was not active in next 48 hours, I called the Marketing personnel, and then he told me that after verification, my connection will be restored. On 27th August the person from Idea came to my residence address at 8 PM for verification (1st of all he should be not come to my residence, since I gave my address of my office). Next day he again to my office in the afternoon for verification. On 29th August I got the call for Idea cellular that my verification is successfully completed and connection was restored. The next day 30th August, my service was disconnected. When I called customer service they told me that verification was negative. The reason for negative verification was false. I was told that Verification personnel didn't found me at my residence and instead he talked with my brother. I am alone living in Mumbai, My brother lives in US and my parents live in Ranchi. Then on what basis the verification was negative and Idea cellular cheated me on this issue. They will again send the person for re-verification. After several call to customer service and mail to the Nodal officer, the Idea Personnel came to my residence after 2 weeks. He never visited my office, which was my valid address. This was the violation of rule set by Telecom department, which would result in penalty for Idea cellular. These are only few of complaints I suffered and list is long.

I was levied the roaming charges when I visted Pune and made call. In the Bill Statement, the 100/- was not adjusted and told to me that 100/ was Idea-Idea local call. Even the idea cellular failed to take action on the marketing personnel who lied me. I called to customer service and logged the 3 request to disconnection of the service. I was told that I have to visit idea store. I told him that I have no time to visit the Idea cellular and I am going out of City. Then Customer service personnel told that you would be receiving the SMS for disconnection of service. After several request, the request is not being serviced after raising request 3 weeks ago.

I have suffering the poor service, False committed made by Idea cellular, mental harassments, and loss of time and money due to period my Incoming was blocked. I asked for the compensation which they refused to do so. Now they sent personnel to my residence to collect the bill amount.

I don't have objection in giving the pending bill amount. But I want to ask the questions to Idea Cellular, Who will compensate me for the Poor Service, Unserviced Period, Mental harassments, false promises, Violation of telecom rule etc.

I was the happy customer of Idea cellular (Pune) from Jan 2005 to Nov 2006. I am also the shareholder of Idea cellular. I have lost the trust in Idea cellular. I will advise all my friends to think 100 times while taking the service of Idea cellular ( in broad any product from Aditya birla Group).

Don't treat this complaint as negative but to improve your service and gain the trust of your esteemed customers.

Idea Cellular — On holding mobile service

I Had taken mobile prepaid card about 2 months back. At that time I have given all the necessary documents. after 7 days the card was on hold due to non compliance of papers. Then I had enquaired to the dealer he said he had send all the papers. for second time I had given fesh papers to the dealer. The dealer told me that card will start within 48 hrs. After 4-5 days the SIM Card again started. It was working for almost a month.From last 4-5 days it was holded for non compliance of papers. Now dealer is asking me to submitt again those papers. I have already written to the Idea Celluler,but there is no responce from their side.

i m prepaid user of idea cellular. n idea has deducted 180rs from my account without providing any services. when i talk to customer care they gave me fact which are not logical and i m totally disagree of those fact. they r totally responsible towards their user.

n they haven't refund my money yet. i m hop-fully waiting for your appropriate response.

Idea Cellular — Less talk time delivered to me

I am prepaid customer of Idea (NEW MY GANG) from Goa. My mobile number is [protected]. I have recharged my number on 30th November 2009 with recharge of Rs345 (Full talktime voucher). But i have received talktime of just Rs311. I've called Idea customer care executive around 5-6 times, but everytime i've received reply saying remaining balance will get credited after 48 hours. But till date i have not received my remaining balance back. Then one of customer care executive told me that this offer is not applicable to MY NEW GANG customer. But neither www.ideacellular.net site nor customer care through SMS option is showing that this offer is not applicable to NEW MY GANG.

Myself is Harvinder Singh R/O Bathinda. My mobile no. is [protected].My internet facility has been disrupted since many days. I called on customer care to solve the problem. They did not lodged my complaint. I personally visited there, even they did not listen me.Instead of solving my problem, they misbehaved me and refused to accept my application. Kindly solve my problem and take strict action against these employees. Time was around 2 P.M. dt. 20/12/09. I need justice.

Lakshmi Departmental Store — Amount Refund & Bill not provided

On 20th of Dec 2009 6PM, I paid Rs 100 for Idea Mobile recharge to Laxshmi Departmental Store, Aundh Road, Ambedkar Chowk, Pune - 20. She showed me the sms with confirmed recharge. But, till 8PM the recharge haven't happened. When enquired, she said nothing can be done. We are not responsible for any such incidence.
- Neither the money got refunded nor the mobile got recharged.
- Also, upon asking for guinine bill, she refused to provide the bill with proper format.
Dear Sir/Madam,
On the solicitation of idea, I applied on 21st December, 09 for additional mobile No. (postpaid) for Rs. 349/- rental with 400 free calls, 50p std, 30p. local call and other features. My application's serial No. is 1532217. The agent, Mr. Karan, holding his mobile No. [protected] collected Rs. 500/- also and signed of receipt on the copy of Application Form. He said that Rs. 349/- will be adjusted against the rental and balance will be refunded in the bill. It was further promised to me that this will be activated by 22nd morning. After the continuuous persuation, the lady (perhaps working with IDEA) with Mobile No.[protected] promised to activate the number immediately. Unfortunately, it did not work. This afternoon, I tried to contact her but she is not lifting the phone. Even Mr. Karan is also not lifting the phone. I then contacted your customer care representative, who stated that this can be activated only after due verification.
I would like to know that I am already having your mobile No. [protected] since 2005 and have regularly enjoyed the uninterrupted services. Inspite of the pursuation from other service providers, I preferred your own which I think was a wrong decision.
May I know, why there is abnormal delay when I am your regular customer opting for another mobile No.
If you do not want to provide the connection, please do not bother, I shall take such number from other service providers who activate the number without much delay. Please refund my Rs. 500/- immediately.

The process of your verification is really harassing and disgusting. Inspite of the fact that I am a regular customer of idea cellular services holding mobile no. [protected] since 2005 and intimated to a number of your officers but your verification is going on. Although mobile No. [protected] has been allotted but this has not been activated as your verification process is going on.

Only GOD knows as to how many days/months this will take.

May I request you to please refund my Rs. 500/- if you are not in a position to activate the number immediately.

I am customer of idea prepaid since 3year.i want to complain against your idea post paid customer care.
Because his information was fake and they cheated me.
In 3jan a call came in my cell by idea post paid customer care and he told me that i[censored] take the post paid connection than we would provide the 4 hour’s free call to two number which given by u that 4 hours call applicable std/local per days. He said” his name was niraj kumar&no-[protected].
I was totally shocked to know about that offer and I got it confirmed by seiner officer Ms. Vikramjit shing.heGranted me about this offer so I agreed.
After that ur site executive visited for ur sim activation and documentation regarding payment’s.I did pay but after two days ago I got to know that information was fake.
I got upset I discussed this matter with some o[censored]r executive but sorry to say the matter is still unsolved.
And sim has’nt been activated yet, as well.
So I very sorrowfully, as a last option I have complaint against him. If required action is not being taken as soon,
I will definitely post this complain to the consumer court .MY NO IS [protected]

Idea Cellular — Providing wrong info on recharge and then refusing to change back the plan to the previous one.

I have been using Idea for 4 years now. My number is [protected]. On 3rd Jan 2009,12.50pm, one day before the expiry of the validity on my number, I had called up idea (4444) to enquire about the various plans for validity extensions. Here a female gave me the info that if I recharge for Rs. 64 I would be getting 1 year validity and 1paise per second calling rate. But at the same time it would not affect my other promo offer which is Rs. 40 per month and 10paisa per message.
On confirming at least 5 times the female confidently told me to get that recharge done. Just as I got the recharge done my messaging started to cost me Re.1.I gave a complaint right after the recharge at 1.10 pm where one Mr.Santosh Kamble refused to accept my complain and hung up the phone on me.
As I wasn’t in town for the next few days,I could not follow up with the complain. On my return I called up on the customer service again on 9th Jan at 2.40pm, where Mrs. Sonal gave me a complain ID[protected] and assured that my problem would be solved in 24 hrs.
Nothing of that sort happened and so I called up again on 10th Jan at 10.24pm where I Talked to Rajendra who gave me another complain no.[protected], and assured that I would be getting a call from their side within 11 hours and the problem would be resolved. Again nothing happened and I did not get any reverts.
I called up again on 11th Jan at 6.51pm where I had a word with Mr. Chopde who answered rudely and could help me and then again I called up at 9.13pm where I talked with Yogesh Bhusal who could not help me either, as well as Blatantly answered that I should call after 2 hours when I asked to speak to a senior.
My problem still hasn’t been solved, and on that the people at Idea customer care are very rude and do not respect the time of their customers.
All this happened because I was given wrong information in the first place and now Idea cellular is refusing to solve the same problem they have caused. I want my Previous plan(messaging Promo) back and as soon as possible.

I am a idea user from past 4years now . I have shifted to a new place in Pune - Magarapaata city and there is no coverage . Everytime I call anyone my phone disconnects automatically with - connection error .the signal bar in my phone is full but I cant make calls or receive calls .
Even if I stand in balcony there is no coverage . i think idea should spend some money and time in improving the service instead of promotion and paying high stars and sponsoring thie shows..

I agree to all of you on the poor and pathetic service from idea connection.I have also been a victim of this compnay.I wanted to pay my bill although the amount given is not appropraite but whenver I went to the idea customer service center in Nizampura, Baroda, the employees siting in the office said that the systems are down and we cant take your payment and since last couple of days my outgoings are inactive and no-one is even bothered to ask me about my inconvenience.
i m prepaid user . n idea has deducted money from my account, i am using sms 39 rs pack but they deducted money for sms, i talk to customer care they said your sms pack is for star sms but i am used
that service from bigning then 1000 sms free in 39 rs. pack. But now how you can change my pack without any information,

your employee mr[protected] wrong committed with me they give me wrong information.
after some time i called back then ms[protected] told me that your pack is for normal sms and we will be
solved your problem within 24 hour,

but now i am faced same problem, deducting balance,
i m Postpaid user of idea cellular. I have an IDEA Cellular connection since last 5 yrs. My Mobile No. is [protected]. I Change the My Bill Plan. I requ. to custmer care on 31.01.2010 but not change today. I am daily for custmer care but not change my bill plan.
