[Resolved]  Idea Cellular — Wrong Billing

I am bearing a post paid connection of Idea Cellular limited. I was using their plan called House full plan which entitled me to use 512MB of free GPRS along with other benefits. On 11th of May, I made a request to change my bill plan to Victor Plan. It was successfully done the very next day. After that I asked to add Rs. 99 GPRS pack which entitles me to use 1GB of free data every billing cycle. It was also enabled on 13th May. After a week suddenly I received an SMS that my credit limit of 2000 Rs has been exceeded and all my outgoing calls were barred without any warning or prior notice. At that time, my GPRS usage was 400 MB, which means 600 MB is remaining as per my plan. I lodged a complaint at their customer care regarding the same and CC executive told me I can get debarred only if I pay 1600 Rs in advance !!! I was shocked and I told I haven't used the connection much to have breached my credit limit. They told they can't check unbilled details and I have to pay 1600 as advance or else I could wait till next billing cycle. After a long call they agreed to raise a request to increase credit limit to 3000 Rs. This happened on Friday and its still pending with them. Again I lodged a complaint on their website and no one responded. This is really unfortunate for a customer being loyal to Idea and staying with them for the past 4 years tenure.

my post paid bill is not correct as per my usage. an extra charges for downloading of wallpapers, music and videos is shown in my bill. above it no one in customer care is willing to my problem, they make my call on hold for 30mins. on asking a executive(rahul) to forward this call to manager(time 5.00pm-5.30pm, 02.02.09).this company has a poor customer handling and making customers mentally harassed.please look into this. waiting for a positive reply from your side.
Idea celluar charged the extra charges for that services which did not use and i am paying sevice tax on already paid amount as well my contact no. is [protected]. I asked to Idea customer care for the correction in my bill but didn't get any co-oprative response from their side.
i am using data card no [protected] last one & half year my previous bill was coming between Rs 399 to 450 but my dec 09 bill was Rs 945 & now my current bill is rs 3743.28 this data card using only for email excess.same i discuses with idea cellular ltd.but they are not helping me.some one can tell me what i can do.regard

customer care called us to activate a plan of rs .550 in which my monthly rent is free for one year, we activate this plan and they didnt charged me monthly rent they called us for this plan in august again bcoz my plan is over so we activate this plan again but they charged me monthly rent in every month, so for this problem i went to your off bhagwati telecom in jamalpur chownk ludhiana (, punjab) they told me that they send mail regarding this problem, but after one week when i again went to your off they didnt send any mail and i told them that charged me monthly rent again next month then they told me to call customer care urself and they behaved rudely

idea phone billing — not received any bill

I have purchased two connectionsin oct 09 from idea telecommunication person was deepak from ludhiana he said that in every billing cycle you will get your bill but yet now i have not recieved even single bill from company side now our company Birla sun life gives us reimbursement against bills but company demands original bill that is a fact but i have to face the loss of 3500*7 months idea company execujtive told me for paying bill but firstly i will cover my lose after that i will go forward bcz i have already paid 4 bills on faridkot office staff excuse thet also told me that in next cycle you will get ur bill so please do needful my contact no. is [protected]
I have been billed an additional Rs 100 on my postpaid number. I have raised a complaint against it for more than a couple of months now. All my follow ups have lead me to no solution as a result of which I decided not to pay my bill anymore. My outgoing services have been barred and I am looking ahead to sue the company.

Idea Cellular Ltd — Refund of advance made on taking plan & sim card

1. I have made a payment of Rs 240 in oct month through one of the agent of idea cellular but instead of crediting the amount in account it was wrongly credited to another number.

2. I informed the company about the incidence & asked them to reverse the amount but they are saying they don't have such facility & i have to make payment again or tell that another person to make payment on our behalf . They even charged Rs 100 for non payment of amount & when i tried to contact their senior manager they kept my phone on hold for more than 10min & ultimately i have to disconnect the phone.

3. I even tried to contact that person in whose account amount had been credited & told him to make payment on my behalf but every he just says he is out of station

4. Due non payment of amount they have restricted our outgoing & ingoing call & now they have sent notice of taking legal action on us.

I am holding up an idea no. [protected]. I came across an issue regarding my bill last month. I had changed my bill plan from Super Value 299 to Combo 249 plan in which 1 GB GPRS usage is free for 1 month. I got it activated on 22nd of june 2011 and there had been no intimation from Idea customer care people regarding activation of this plan, so I started using GPRS on 22nd of June 2011 itself. Now what i have seen that GPRS charges have been added to my bill for dated 22nd June 2011. When I talked to Idea customer care people regarding this problem, They were very rough to talk & replied that I should have had contacted them before started using this plan. Sir, I am sitting at the customer end & it was Idea's responsibility to intimate customers that the plan has been activated or not, not customer's responsibility to call your people for activation of services. I am attaching my bill herewith, Please look into the issue as the GPRS charges are approx. Rs. 440 for that particular date (22nd June 2011). I am not going to pay these charges as they have occured out of Idea's customer care fault.

I am an Idea customer of two corporate numbers ([protected] and [protected]) from last one year. Till January 2011 they had generated my bill correctly. After that the started generating wrong bill for my numbers. I stopped making payment and mailed them to revise my bills but they had not revised the bills and again they generated wrong bill. Suddenly on 8th of July 2011 they had barred my all services for both the numbers. They day only O went to their regional office in Bangalore and requested them to revise the bill so I can pay. They had not released my call services. Again on 16th July I went to their office and revised my bill there and I paid all due amounts. After that also they had not released my calls. I compalind many times, I mailed them many times but till date they had not resolved the issues. I had given my feedback in TRAI also. I am really dissatisfied with the services of Idea.
Idea services are really dissatisfactory. GET IDEA is the wrong slogan. My comment is PLZ DONT GET IDEA.
Worst idea ever - to get idea - make use of MNP and switch ...any customer care service is better than idea service .

Referring to bill invoice No:[protected] Dt. 21st Sep11 for my mobile [protected] the bill amount charged is abnormal i.e. Rs. 12402/- for bill cycle of 21st Aug11 to 20th Sep11. I have requested for GPRS 49 plan on 23rd Aug 11 having communication ID[protected], after gone through the bill details the GPRS charged without considering the same for period of 24th Aug to 30th Aug. Yet I have not received any mail reply from IDea since 3rd Oct''11 & on 3rd Oct Idea representative told on call that they have communicated me on 23rd Aug 11 that my number came in CUG plan & the GPRS service cannot activated on my number, but such communication is received on my mobile & I used GPRS after 24 hours of the request. Idea even not inform @ the the bill is exceeding credit limit while usage. I request you to please check and help me out as this high bill will be so tough for me. I need your kind support in resolving this. Please extend your cooperation & revert.

I AM A CLASS ONE GAZETTED OFFICER & HAVE BEEN PROVIDED MOBILE PHONE IN A CUG NO. [protected]. I SUBSCRIBED TO IDEA CELLULAR PLAN FOR Rs98/- WHICH GIVES ME 2GB OF INTERNET USAGE ON MY MOBILE FOR 30DAYS. THE SAME WAS DULY ACTIVATED BY THE SERVICE PROVIDER.

HOWEVER I WAS SHOCKED TO FIND THAT IN THE MONTH OF NOVEMBER I WAS CHARGED Rs 4974.20 TOWARDS A NET USAGE OF ALLEGEDLY 2345566.27 OF GPRS USAGE(UNITS NOT DISCLOSED).

I WROTE TO THE SERVICE PROVIDER (IDEA CELLULAR) BUT RECIEVED A CURT REPLY THAT THE BILL WAS CORRECT & THAT I SHOULD PAY UP. I REQUESTED FOR CLARIFICATIONS BUT WAS DENIED.

WHEN I CHECKED MY ITEMISED BILL I WAS SHOCKED TO FIND VERY HIGH VOLUMES O[censored]SAGE AT AWKWARD TIMES. e.g. ON 11TH NOV 2011 BETWEEN 3PM TO 4.21PM INTERNET USAGE TO THE EXTENT OF APPROX Rs 2500/- HAS BEEN CHARGED TO ME. AS I AM AN EMERGENCY SERVICE PROVIDER & HAVE TO BE AVAILABLE INSTANTLY ON MY MOBILE I NEVER LET IT BE AWAY FROM MY POSSESSION AT ALL TIMES OF THE DAY. HENCE POSSIBILITY OF SOMEONE ELSE MISUSING MY MOBILE IS CERTAINLY NOT THERE, ESPECIALLY AT THIS TIME BECAUSE DURING THIS TIME I AM BUSY IN THE HOSPITAL & AM CARRYING MY MOBILE IN MY POCKET.

I SPOKE TO RSM, Mr RAJESH FROM IDEA CELLULAR, IN PERSON TO PRESENT MY CASE. HOWEVER, HE EVEN REFUSED TO TELL THE UNITS OF THE USAGE AS HE HIMSELF DID NOT KNOW.

I AM BEING FORCED TO PAY FOR INTERNET USAGE THAT I HAVE NOT DONE & AM NOT EVEN BEING CLARIFIED AND PROVED THAT WHERE I HAVE USED THIS DATA..

I am using idea postpaid plan, activated 1 GB 3G plan for Rs 349.
I have used only 784 MB data, this should come under my 1 GB data. But they have charged Rs 4362.02 + service tax.
When i have asked for clarification, there is no proper response from customer care and they have barred my call services.

UNNECESSARY HARASSMENT TO ME AND MY WIFE (Mobile No. - [protected])
Complaint No. 11322718 dated 18/08/2012

Since November 2011 above mentioned Mobile No. of IDEA is not used by me and always Credit balance remain in my Account uptill July 2012.

After the expiration of Advance Post Paid Scheme In July 2012 i submitted request for Cancellation on 18/08/2012 vide Request No. 11322718 dated 18/08/2012 and clear all dues up to that date in Local Office of Idea and Confirmation also given on phone when received call from IDEA customer Care for cancellation of above said Mobile No.

In spite of above still IDEA is still raising the bill and also threatening for Filling the case in Court through Different Mobile Nos. From time to time for Non Payment of Bills . I have visited numerous time to IDEA Local office and every time they assured me of getting this mistake rectified.

I am senior citizen and my wife also suffer from Chronic Disease and such kind o[censored]nnecessary harassment is causing great trouble to me.

Kindly look into the matter and take necessary action

I had an idea postpaid connection ([protected]).my last bill amount is 3600 this is not a valid amount, this is a absolutely wrong billing because i am in Rs 149 . rental plan and i am only use Rs 99 rental net plan(1 GB). these causes last week i meet the idea cellular office at PERUMBAVOOR, they reduce 50 % of my bill amount(1800) but i am noy satisfied because this is very large amount and this is invalid amount. response and reply of idea cellular about my complaint is "EXTRA USE OF INTERNET"..but i am already in a net pack and i only used extra 300mb max.(approximate ), my sim is totally barred, pls help me...
