Hon'ble Sir,

National Association for the Blind, Uttarakhand has developed a residential resource and vocational training centre for the visually impaired students at Nawad Khera, P.O. Kathgodam, District Nainital,Uttarakhand. Presently we are providing free education, food, residential and training facilities to 38 visually impaired students from 4 to 15 years.They are enrolled with the sighted students in nearby governemtn primary and Jiniour High Schools.


sir, this is the first and only institution in Kumaoun Region to provide above facility.We are commetted to serve the visually impaired students but to see the present circumstances we find it very difficult to full fill our obligations. We are having Indian L.P.G.connection from last 1 year but till now we did get any gas supply to cook meal for the visually impaired studnents from Indian Gas service, we made several visits to their office and gas supply gowan at Shish Mahal Kathgodam but they informed us that they will send filled cylinder of L.P.G at our resource centre. The supply vehicle comes to this area but never came to our centre where the blind children getting residential facilities, After several request to the the gas supler they are not willing supply cooking gas for cooking the food for the visually impaired studnents.We hope after lodging this complain we shall be able to get proper gas supply to use it for cooking the meal for the visually impaired students.
