[Resolved]  Indian Postal Dept — Senior Citizen savings Scheme

Address:Mumbai Suburban, Maharashtra

I have two Nos. of SCSS deposits with Chembur Head Post office. They are more than five years old and hence I have renewed them for a further period of three years. Earlier to renewal, the interests for these deposits was being automatically credited to my SB account with the same post office. For more than nine months now, the quarterly interests are not auto credited to my S/B acount due to some computer software problem. Instead we have to take these interests in cash, which is great inconvenience for senior citizens. I really wonder why it should take more than nine months to re-implement this auto credit facility. How can we claim ourselves to be on top of the world in providing IT enabled services? I request somebody to take up this case very seriously with the postal dept. My several written complaints did not seem to work.
