The surprise thing is that when train reached at Platform No-3 of SHIKOHABAD 70 (seventy minutes) late of its actual departure that was so much crowded in reservation coaches, even to put legs on door is difficult for us.So we have no other option to leave that train even after pre-reserved seat and we could not board the train.

Sir,
The corruption in the trains has become a matter of routine nowadays. Especially when ever any passenger who is to travel a short distance can not get reservation. Since almost 90 % of all the trains capacity is of reservation nature, such passengers are forced to board reserved compartment without reservation. The ticket checkers normally take Rs.50 from them without issuing any receipt. Yesterday while traveling II class from Ludhiana to Rajpura in Vishakhapatanam Express which was running up to Ambala in place of Shahid Express, I happened to see a similar incident. There were at least four Ticket checkers taking money from the passengers openly. At Rajpura Station I over heard one ticket checker saying that he has collected Rs. 2000 then.

This is a real problem; we wonder why railway is not able to curb this shameful act. My suggestion is that every such passenger should be allowed to pay reservation charges at the ticket counter itself with authority to enter the reserved compartment. This will not only help the passengers but add to railway revenue.
I strongly agree. I always face such type problems whenever i travel.
One more thing i would like to add, we have to always search our coach number.
It is not as, as it shows.
Somebody if seen situations like these must take videos on mobile and post the same to IndiaTV news so that the same reaches our Railway Minister so that he too knows how railways are generating profits with the help of corruption.
Sir.
I am a daily passenger in train 2930up[Valsad Vadodara Intercity Superfast].
Some passengers are very much indiciplene in train compertment. They board from surat. smoke randomly, play cards[jua].and talking abusingly.Older passengers and ladies are feeling very uneasy
to travel.Never leave seats for even ladies, senior citigens.Behave like travelling for a long years. wwhere as they has started to travel approx. one month ago.
So.pl. see this matter and do needful.
Thank you
A passenger holding ticket for more than 500 KM is permitted to break journey for a day and for more than 1000 KM for two days and so on. He only needs to get his ticket endorsed by the Station Master / Ticket Collector. This is published in latest timetable [Southern Railway on behalf of Monistry of Railways (page 252)]. This facilities has been admissible since long time.
However, rail staff are not allowing the passengers to avail this facility on the plea that this has now been discontinued. My son - Saurabh Kochar holding PNR [protected] from New Delhi to Howrah by 2382 Poorva Express for 17.11.09 wanted to break journy for a day on 18.11.09 at Parasnath. He was told by the Station Master as well as Ticket Collector that this facility is now not admissible.
It is submitted that either the Ministry's publications should specifically not publish this or make its relevant staff aware of the rule. Best way to do so is to publicise this through newspaper advertisements at regular intervals as is the case about other public awareness subjects.

Indian Railways — Not allowing to board reservation coach

Dear Sir/Madam,

I had taken a railway ticket, ticket no 68372845 on 09/06/2010 from Sabarmati JN to NANA.

I had to board Ajmer fast passenger train. The reservation coach were empty as the tickets were not issued. So I asked the ticket checker to make a reservation ticket for me and take the difference amount. He simply refused and also aksed for extra money to do the job. He also did not allow me to get in the reservation coach. Finally at Kalol he made me the ticket taking the difference fare.

But the point is he could have done the same at the sabarmati station. Chalan No for the additional fare i have paid is 503300

Please let me know what can i do and help me out.
