I travelled on 20th april 2013 from mayuram to erode by D5 seat no.42 by janshatabdi express. there is no tte from mayuram to erode. my ticket
was not checked till erode. so many unreserved passengers are also occupied the coaches lot of inconvenience to us. they were occupying
reserved coaches. likewise when i travelled from tambaram to tiruchirapalli on 30th march 2013 by guruvayur express by coach D9 no tte
has come. i think both are on saturday that is saturday is holiday for tte staff. i also feel it is better not to book ticket in advance and to
ourchase a open ticket and travel by reserved coach. they are occupying reserved coach it is difficult to go to toilet which is already in nasty and
ugly. pl do the needful

    The most pathetic and irritated website ever in Indian government innovations. Infact i would say they should close their IT department and outsource this to some decent IT company who will be having excellent IT programmers to manage this fuss. The IT department is doing nothing and just passing their time.

    Shame on you Railways minister, IT Head, and the worst development team.
    It's the beautiful site I've ever seen in the entire GOVT portals, can you please state what did you got through...
    I'm not into railways or anything like that, If you compare all other govt portals, it's really amazing, look-wise and functionality wise, yes it's only works in the broadband..

      I am using reliance netconnect+ service from almost 2 years.. but pathetic Tatkal reservation from irctc... You are not even able to Log in at 9.50 am.. and if at all u r successful loging in.. till u complete the transaction with several online errors.. you may end up in either failed transaction or Waitlisted Ticket...
      Hell with IRCTC.................

        Non refund of TDR money
        Dear sir,
        One ticket (PNR No. [protected]&[protected]) was purchased by me (for self and my wife) for journey from New Farakka to Gaya by GAUR EXP.&GAYA HWH GAYA EXP. on 9/04/2009. Due to some problem It was not possible for me to undertake the journey and ticket was made cancelled at NEW FARAKKA Railway station and TDR (No. 117 Pssenger FoIL 22782) was obtained by me. It was told by TDR making authorities at the station to me that you -will have to make a letter to Chief Commercial Manager (refunds) at CALCUTTA for refund of the amount. One letter was made and sent on 17/04/2009 along with the original TDR by Registered Post by me to Chief Commercial Manager (Refunds), ESTERN RAILWAY 3, COILAGHAT STREET CALCUTTA 1. But neither the money was refunded to me nor any clarification regarding the subject issued to me. But till now I money has not been refunded to me nor any clarification I received from Chief Commercial Manager CALCUTTA office.

        Sir, I do have copies of all the documents which I made to Chief Commercal Manager with me (The Registered Post receipts also).

        IRCTC — TDR file refond not get it

        I am file a TDR against my PNR no.s [protected] on date 26/04/09 (transaction id L[protected]) but after 9 months gone still refunded amount not get it.
        While calling customer care always said that the TDR is transfered to Railway Department. I am suffering from last 9 months because amount is more. & amount not refunded. pls do the needful from your end

        This is in reference to the TDR file on 17th feb,2010.

        Hopefully the matter is resolved at the earliest.

        I have booked one ticket thru my credit card my For PNR no -[protected], Transaction ID: [protected] I have had filed a TDR on 22/12/2010, but till now i have not received any refund. Kindly look into the
        matter on priority and arrange for refund, as it is already 6 months transaction is pending. So many times i have communicated with IRCTC customr care on their call center no and thru mail but they have not taken any action. my complaint no is IRCTC #2070475

          Sir/Madam,
          I had applied for SUBH YATRA CARD on 21.12.2012 and got subh yatra card membership no.[protected] but till date haven't received the physical SUBH YATRA CARD.I have complaint many times on[protected] and [protected] & they replied do mail on [protected]@irctc.co.in and i did , but after so long i have got a reply from irctc.[protected]@sbicard.com detail pasted below:
          '' February 22, 2013 Dear Ms. Kumari, This is with reference to your communication dated February 20, 2013. Shubhyatra Card Related: We wish to inform you that your Shubhyatra card was dispatched at your mailing address but same has been returned to us. Further, we are glad to inform you that we have re-dispatched your Shubhyatra card at the mailing address mentioned below: - H.NO.1581, SECTOR-64 MOHALI RUPNAGAR - 160062'' but till date i have not received the same.
          Later on i asked for dispatch no. but they unable to provide and now i am completely fed up of IRCTC services.
          Lastly i have lodged a grievances on PG pgportal.gov.in,Registration No. MORLY/E/2013/02320 on 18th march but even after Reminder-4 no any reply leading resolution of my problem has been received.
          Kindly do the needful so that i can get the SUBH YATRA CARD. Thanks..

            I made a reservation for 2nd May 2011 under Tatkal Scheme (Train No. 12138 Class: 3 AC) for Journey from Nasik to Delhi for which amount of Rs. 1,428.00 was credited from my ICICI account. Need the PNR number as I am unable to locate the same in my IRCTC account under booked history.
            Username for the account is amitra14.

            My name is LakshminarayanaReddy, i have reserved the ticket through IRCTC on May16 from Secunderabad to chennai with the following transaction id([protected]) and PNR number([protected]) , and my status of the ticket is WL/29, so i didnt able to travel on that day and i tried to cancel that ticket in the secunderabad station but they said that as it is online we will not cancelled that ticket and even they suggest that if the ticket is not conformed the money will revert back in to my account so kindly suggest you to please revert the money back into my account sir

              PROBLEM:- While communicating for TDR via IRCTC i got Letter no. BEC160313V44177 from Railways- Mentioning that the person has travlled , when one has not travelled.

              Now how can anyone on earth can prove that one has not travelled??????????????????????

              Indian Railways — NO REFUND

              Hi

              I had made a cancellation of a ticket on 08/05/09 over the counter at New Delhi Railway Station same was being booked from same station through my Bank of Baroda DEBIT CARD and at the time of cancellation i was told that i'll get the money back in my bank a/c with in 2 or 3 working days. Still on 31/05/09 i've not received any refund for the same and when i made a call at customer care the customer care executive name "SHARAD KUMAR" (SUPERVISOR OF CUSTOMER CARE CENTRE) straight way refused to provide any information for the same.
              Requesting you to plz look into the matter on priority.

              I was not able to catch the train on 23/3/09 & hence couriered Ticket Deposit Receipt(TDR) regarding the money refund to Chief Commercial Manager, Mumbai(CST) on 06/04/09 & then again on 21/5/09 but still no refund has been done so far-- how long will it take to get my money back -- since i read from the terms that Cheque will be received within a month -- still its not yet been received... kindly look into this.

                  I am Pratik Ranjan. I had a reservation in 12296/SANGHA MITRA EX on 29-Mar-2013 for which i booked the ticket on 29-Nov-2012. When i went in front of my coach B2, i saw that my name was printed in the chart and the berth number was 63. When i boarded the train i saw that there were only 62 berth (1 to 62) were present in B2 coach. I inquired with the TT of the train and he told that he is helpless in giving me any seat as there are only 62 berths available in the coach and my number is 63 and there are no free berths available in any of the coach. I complaint to the senior
                  official available at Patna Jn station. I could not board the train as i had to travel from patna to Bangalore 49 hrs journey and without any seat it was not possible to travel. This is a sheer ignorance from the Indian railway and Irctc part. Because of this i had to go through mental tension. I had to miss office for 1 week. I have to go through the pain of Tatkal booking or flight booking.Because of this i have to go though physical, mental and economical pain. Who is going to repay for this... Please help.
                  I have taken a written acknowledgment from the TT of the train that B 2 coach has only 62 seats available and lodged a complaint at Patna junction.

                  I need a compensation for my loss at Office, booking of train and flight ticket and the trauma i faced.

                        I booked a ticket in the train GARIB RATH (train no.-22407)(pnr[protected] from Varanasi to bareilly.At the time of booking there were around 1000 available seats.In the birth preference option i selected the lower births ,because a large number of seats were available.Another reason to do so was that the passengers were senior citizens(above 75) .Expecting to get the lower births ,i was served with the middle births.It was a real dose of disappointment ,......and i am expecting some relief from your side.i am attaching the tickets within,please try to resolve my problem.

                          Respected Officials,

                          As against PNR - [protected], I booked a waitlisted e-ticket for my five relatives through IRCTC website on 26/11/2012 to travel from Viramgam Jn to Pune Jn. The train no was 11091 and the date of journey was 28/112012. However the ticket gets partially confirmed and all the passengers does not travel.
                          Therefore I had filed TDR (ref no- ekt[protected]) on date 03/12/2012 for the refund and waited for three months for the refund to be credited as the refund period stated in IRCTC rules is 90 days, but nothing happened and refund status shows REGRETED . Then I mailed to [protected]@irctc.co.in on 05/03/2013 requesting them to look into matter and kindly initialise the refund, then they replied that my request has been forwarded to the concerned department.
                          However now my refund status shows NOT APPROVED, for reference I have attached screen shot of my filed TDR kindly go through it.
                          Kindly guide me to get my refund as earliest.

                          IRCTC - Indian railway — Refund against TDR

                          I have field the TDR on 18/02/2010 becosue of train late more than 3 hours PNR No.[protected]

                          I got 50% of refund against this - when i asked why should be only 50% - I have been giving following repeated statment since Feb 2010

                          What should i do for this? Kindly advice

                          Dear Sir,

                          This is to inform you that I have been filed a TDR in IRCTC for my not travelling in train from Visakhapatnam to Kharagpur on 18.11.2009. For that purpose I have been file TDR reference no.ekt[protected] on 21.11.2009 (TDR should file after 24 hrs of train depature) for an amoutn Rs.313/-

                          I have been given several mails to IRCTC(i.e., 1st mail on 28/04/2010, 2nd mail on 02/09/2010 and 3rd mail on 21/10/2010) and they replied me stating that "we have been given all relavant documents to Railways, they are processing your payment and it will take some time". This is their version. Since one year I am waiting for the same amount. Till now they have not been cleared my amount.

                          Now I am requesting you to solve my above said problem at the earliest.

                          I HAD BOOKED 2 TKT FOR 13/NOV/2010.OUT OF 2 ONLY 1 TKT WAS CONFIRMED SO THAT I FILED A TDR FOR THE PNR NO.[protected].TRANSACTION ID-[protected].TDR FILING DATE WAS 13/NOV/2010 AND THE REFERENCE NUMBER WAS-ekt[protected].IT Has been 47 days passed but i have not yet received the refund.THEY ARE ALSO NOT GIVING THE RESPONSE FOR MY EMAIL.
                          so,you are requested to please check the issue and refund the amount as soon as possible.

                            Dear Sir/Madam,
                            I booked three e tickets through irctc from Madurai to Chennai in Pearlcity Express in the first class non AC compartment which had one confirmed ticket and two waitlisted tickets.And the date of journey is 3-3-2013.The PNR number is [protected]. After the chart preparation two waitlisted tickets did not get confirmed. I filed TDR to get refund for my confirmed ticket thinking that my waitlisted tickets will be cancelled automatically. As per the rules of irctc, passengers travelling with waitlisted tickets are considered to be travelling without tickets, I decided not to travel with only one confirmed ticket. And so I did not file TDR for the wailtlisted tickets. But I got my refund only for my confirmed ticket and not for my waitlisted tickets. I contacted the customer care and they said that I should have filed TDR for all the tickets and there will be no way for refund. The amount I paid for the tickets in which I did not travel is Rupees 1985 from which I got only Rs.387 as refund. Please do further action against this.

                            IT — Waitlisted tickets

                            I have booked ticket 2 months back to travel on 25th oct to Tirupati, all tickets are on waiting list 10-15. Kindly let me know by up to what date and time I should wait to get it confirmed. I know its before chart preparation. But if its not confirmed I can not travel. What are the chances/probability of confirming tickets which are waitlisted 10-15, can you tell me. What history says normally up to what number waiting list tickets are confirmed.

                                Please note that ,I (RABINDRA KUMAR DASH, User ID- dashhere) have booked ticket in irctc(indian railway catering & tourism.corporation) with Pnr No-[protected] for date 23.01.2013.

                                The train (no-14217 whose origin was Allahabad) was late more than 4 hours on date 23.01.2013.

                                So I did not traveled & filed TDR on date 23.01.2013 for "train late more than 3 hours & passenger did not travelled".

                                Though the TDR was approved. Only 50% has been refunded.

                                Ticket amount was 2790/- but amount refunded was only 1340/-.

                                As per rule full amount should be refunded to me.

                                I have lodged complain via e mail in january13 to [protected]@irctc & [protected]@irctc. Since then I have already sent 5 reminder mail & phone calls to irctc.But the same reply" your concern has been sent to railway" I m getting from irctc since 2 months. For the refund I m waiting since 2 months.Pl help me..

                                Dear All,

                                This is with regard to the four tickets that I had booked with the following details [protected]; [protected]; [protected]; [protected]. The same were cancelled lond time back and as per the site details of irctc the refunds have happened on the 20th of septemebr for all the tickets. But to my surprise the same have not been cerdited to my account.

                                I have sent mails and spoken to irctc almost 20 times but they are unable to give a satisfactory reply as to why has the amount not been credited to my account.

                                As per my bank HDFC Bank they have not received any instruction from IRCTC for refund.

                                Every time I have spoken to the customer care number of IRCTC in delhi they ask me to send a fresh mail with the deitails.

                                Kindly advice as the amount in cosideration is Rs.3534/- and I am unable to get any revert from IRCTC or indian railways.

                                I tried to book a ticket for two on 11/04/09 using the online ticket booking system of indian Railway but Ticket not booked due to some reason . On Checking the My Bank Ac I found that payment has beem done . i called to Irctc help desk on 12/04/09 where i was told that the transaction would be reverted back with in 2-3 days but till date my PNB Saving Ac has not been credit for the same

                                I have lost my patience after calling again and again on the IRCTC customer care numbers[protected],[protected],[protected],[protected],[protected]. First of all no one dares to answer the phone, and on that the system is so bad that it automatically disconnects you after a certain interval of time. This means just keep calling and praying that someone will answer the call. I also tried to send emails to both `[protected]@irctc.co.in` as well as `[protected]@irctc.co.in` but all in vain.

                                This is when I just want to know the status of transaction for the tickets that couldn't book. I don't know what would happen to others. The IRCTC website has no instruction about where to go and what to do in case customer care and emails fail. I am in an absolute chaos now and have almost left the hope for refund. It would a real miracle if something comes out of this post.

                                Sir, I had booked a ticket from Buxar to Dadar but train was late by 15 hrs so I cancelled the ticket. IRCTC has refund 50% of ticket value but as per rule, 100% should be refunded because train was late more than 3 hours. Again i checked my ticket in evening, status was same. then I cancelled my ticket. But after that it is showing me that Rs.0 refunded.

                                When my ticket is not confirmed then how IRCTC is not going to refund my money back???

                                  I want to brought one instance to your notice.

                                  Today i was trying to book a tatkal ticket through IRCTC .
                                  I have logged in at 10 am but was not able to navigate to train booking page. Site was very slow as always.

                                  After several try i was able to go to booking page at around 10:30 am.
                                  I was very surprised to see the error/response when i clicked book button.
                                  "
                                  Only 2 tatkal tickets can be booked between 10 to 12 am .
                                  "

                                  I have not booked a single ticket with my user id.
                                  Also i was getting several time the below error :

                                  " Session log out as login from multiple windows not allowed".

                                  Possibilities :

                                  1) Some Body else is interpreting the request and booking (Web Hackers).
                                  2) User id and passwords are disclosed (not from my side).

                                        I tried to book a tatkal ticket on Mar 23 for a travel on Mar 24.
                                        When I was booking the ticket, the system showed an error page few times. Since, it is tatkal ticket, I rushed again and again till finally I booked a confirmed ticket.
                                        Meanwhile, among the multiple errors that were shown, once the ticket got booked. However, I received no SMS as well.
                                        My Transaction IDs are PNR [protected] and PNR [protected]
                                        I wrote to IRCTC to cancel one and issue a refund because it is a system error. I know the fact that Tatkal tickets cannot be refunded. Only because it is a system error, I was asking for refund. In all of their replies, they are talking about, Tatkal refund rules or how I check mails or transaction history something like that, without looking at what happened in the system and not realizing that we do not have hours for tatkal booking.
                                        They can easily cancel my ticket so that someone else travels. I cannot sleep in both the berths.
                                        It seems their reply shows that they do not have service attitude, but simply say no without looking into the situation

                                        I intent to travel from Akola jn to nashik on 19th july for that I had tried to book ticket on 12, 13 & 14th july by 2AC by Shalimar express train number 18030 three tickets were available on above dates. It is regretted to inform that, even after taking all care while booking, six times the amount of Rs 827 has been deducted from my account but the ticket is not at all booked stating that " Your session has expired " which not acceptable. Request to intervain, book one ticket & refund the balance money 5 times deducted
