[Resolved]  Leo Impact Security — Non shipment of Goods

I had received a promotional email from Leo Impact Security Services for its so called education bundle "The Secrets of Hacking" - Second edition. It was supposed to be containing printed material, 2xDVDs and PDF copy of book of Version 1. Myself having an interest in IT security and Cyber crime, thought of buying a copy to evaluate and suggest to friends and customers. I placed an order for the same on its website and was issued an Invoice No. 2523 on 16th Jan 2010.I deposited cash in Leo's account at ICICI bank at Borivali, Mumbai branch. After a week or so, I tried to get the details of shipment and then I realized that I have been taken for a ride!!! There is only one lady who picks up the phone and assures you to do all necessary and reply by email etc..However, nothing happens. After lots of arguments, I could get mobile no. of his Manager who neither picks up phone nor answers you call or SMS. I alert aspiring IT students and professionals not to fall a prey to such frauds.

Further more, I found that its website does not mention anything about promoters, directors or owner's details. It also does not have customers to be advertised on its website. Though they claim to be operational in US and UK!!! It seems this is a fly-by-night kind of operator who operates from home, has some knowledge of IT, has friends in US and UK whose address is available for putting up on its website. Because of its malpractices, they are not able to retain its employee (they have only one - who picks up phone). They wanted to recruit some sales girls in Oct 2009. I request all the people who come across this post, to make potentially vulnerable persons like students and professionals aware about this company. Play safe and take care.
