[Resolved]  Maharashtra State Electricity Board (Mseb) — Extremely Bad Service.

I Liladhar More, staying at Dhanori Road, Anand Park, Vishrantwadi Pune. From the day when I shifted to my new house here, I'm daily facing electricity problem. Voltage is highly irregular. Sometimes in the day, it is very low suddenly in the evening it goes high, damaging all my electrical equipments. Till now, I've repaired my Television Set, Computer, Electric Iron for more than 2 times by almost paying 10, 000/-.

New Air Conditioner I bought, didn't work well even for 1 hour, and suddenly got damaged. Tubes, bulbs keep damaging regularly. When asked about this to M.S.E.B officials, they send some people to check. These people generally ask for money - Bribe . Many people in our area are facing this problem and they have raised this issue to M.S.E.B officials for many times. Lack of Transformer, is the main reason behind this irregular power supply. When asked about this to M.S.E.B officials, they keep giving false assurances that very soon they are going to set up a new transformer etc. etc. Nothing has happened till now.

Despite of paying electricity bills regularly, I'm facing this problem. Can somebody please help me or suggest me on this?

Hello MSEB Complaint officer (or to whomsoever it may concern),

I am residing at Nerul, Navi Mumbai and since last one year, the MSEB bill is coming very low. My consumer number is[protected]. We had officially put in a complaint at your Nerul office (in writing) in Jan 2010 but no body came to address the issue.
We then re-submitted our Complaint letter again in March/April 2010 and asked for why nobody has attended the issue and there was no answer.
Till date nobody has attended to my complaint..
Being a honest citizen, I did highlight the problem, but it is absolutely frustating to see no support/response from your MSEB member.
I sincerely and optimistically hope that the relevant personnel from MSEB would contact me (over email) at the earliest and help in resolving the problem at the soonest.

While inviting your kind attention towards aforesaid letter under reference, we like to submit as under:-

The Society has already brought to your kind notice that a High Tension Electric line is passing through the residential zone of Society’s Layout, Ekta Nagar, situated at East of Gorewada Road, Khasra No. 87/2, 87/3, mouza- Borgaon, Tah & Distt. Nagpur, which may cause unpleasant amongst the residents of the said area at any time. The Layout of the Society has been duly authorized by NIT under Regularization of 1900 unauthorized Layouts. The High Tension Electric Line has been laid down, at the time when no residential house has been built therein. The said high tension electric line is almost crossing the residential Plots. The said high tension electric line is therefore required to be shifted at the safer place.
In view of the above, we request you to kindly take note of the situation and arrange to shift the High Tension Electric Line to an appropriate place, which shall be free from any hazard.

I am Mr. Thosar, I have my house in Subhagya Nagar, Ausa Road, Latur (maharashtra). November 2011 MSEB staff member Mr. bairagi come at home ask for last three months bill. I was paid bill same man but I was forget not collect receipt from that man. In 20 Jan 2012 another staff member come at home and ask for same bill and worn me to disconnect my electricity connection. When I am going to office at Khardekar Stop, Latur this time Mr. Gade officer of khardekar stop. I meet officer Mr. Gade sir date 21 Jan 2012 and says that Mr. Bairagi was taken amount of same bill but Mr. Gade says to me, "That's your problem, I'm not responsible for this case, when you bill pay that man you are not come to me. So why you come to my office." Mr. Gade says another language I'm not written in this complaint letter.
I just require that Mr. Gade ask to Mr. Bairagi what happened. Why you are not submitted bill receipt to this person or office. But Mr. Gade nothing doing.
I'm ask you sir, when i am in problem, where i go ?

Current MSEB Meter is showing high bill though the electricity coumption is low.
The MSEB Meter at my place is dysfunction for last 1yrs.Inspite of several written complains things are not working out.The meter is giving high coating although the usage of appliances is less.The bill and units are enormously high.

Please look into the issue ASAP.

This is to inform you that Mr.P.A.Guneriya Plot no.106, chandrikapure layout, Nirmal colony, Nara road near Nara Ghat Nara, Jaripatka, Nagpur:-440014 is thefting electricity by placing hook on road side single phase low tension wire of MSEB after 8 P M every evening between 25 Nov to 2 Dec 2012 for personal use.Please take note and do take necessary action immediately.
In MSED monthly bill, the call center nos.are given[protected] and[protected] but it says that the code is wrong and not existing. I am trying to complain one problem i, e in my building - the voltage fluctuates from 150 Volts to 290 Volts since long time. I don't know to whom I should complain. Please advice.

electricity bills charges been charged as per the mahanagarpalika zone but the service rendered as per the adivasi tribal zone.

I am from lokgram, Sabarmati bldg. Kalyan (E). Since about one month, the power supply is fluctuating from 150 volts to 290 volts. I have reported twice through the call center which I got after long enquary . But nobody came to repair. I am afraid of my electrical devices. Most of the time I am keeping them off. I don't know what is to be done.

I am the resident of GURU ASHISH CHS, B-205, SEC-1-E, PLOT NO 35, KALAMBOLI, TAL- PANVEL, DIST - RAIGAD NAVI MUMBAI, 410218. I am having the issue regarding with the excees bill coming in this month . it happens not only with me but also with all society .last date of bill payment is 18/10/2013 & extended date is 29/10/2013.My bill not go beyond Rs.300 in each month, & in this month it is coming Rs.4920.It's not problem with me.it, s problem of all member of society.Every member in society bill is upto 5000, 7000, 10000, 15000, etc.
u can understand the it is not a problem with me only.

so my request is that please take a quick action into this matter.within 24 hours becouse after that payment date will be get off.

I have complaint against MSEB shil division, Dist Thane.My Consumer No. is[protected], & Billing Unit is 4643. I am staying in diva & i am facing higher electricity bill issue from last three month( Jan 2014 to March 2014). MY monthly consumption of electricity unit is around 50 unit but In Jan & FEB 2014 it comes- 150 unit each. & in march it comes 445 unit. Because of this my bill amount is increased by around 4500/-. I visited diva mseb office to reduce bill amount last month & they have made correction on bill that copy has been submitted to Mumbra Divisional office. But it was waste of time again next month bill amount was not reduced & for march month it comes Total Rs. 5300/- ... Please do the needful for this. because of wrong meter reading many peoples facing this problem.

You are requested to kindly instruct the concerned officer to do the needful.

Now day this place is treated as damping ground only and nuisance value also increased.

It may be lead to safety hazard for others too.Kindly do the needful.

I rented a new flat in laxminagar dhanori in the month of November 2013 last year and the first bill reading which I had was for 291 units and I had to pay somewhere around 2000+ and was informed high as was using a geyser so I turned it off and asked my family members not to use it and later on received bill as expected Dec 131 units, Jan 115 units, Feb 158 units, Mar 158 units, April went unto 198 and then later May was 258 units, Jun 260 units, Jul 287 units Aug 285 units Sep 263 units and all using the same things in the house nothing changed (4 fans, 3 tube lights, one TV refrigerator, owen, laptop music player, washing machine &and power saver lights) out of which the fridge is on all the time 1 fan, TV and 1 tube light is used most of the time in the hall as no one else at home the whole day. I realised something was wrong as my mother was out of town for one month and no one was at home I used to come home watch a little TV work on my laptop sleep and back to work the whole day and everything off except the fridge and still got the same units and amount to pay.
We informed the landlord many times and last month when we decided to renew our agreement we asked him do to do something and the meter. It was taken to be checked as was always showing 2 red lights on all the time instead of 1 light unlike the other meters and was returned after 7 to 8 hours with an ok tag and said there was nothing wrong with it and to check the connections in the house for any earthing leakage. The landlord sent the electrician to check all the lines and connections and I had to spend 3 weekends at home for them to check and they did not find anything wrong. Later the electrician decided to check by connecting our meter wires to a different meter down stairs with permission and there was no 2nd light on, which clearly indicated that the meter itself was faulty. The person who checked the wires in the house who works I believe on contract bases in the mseb also said that he knows how people work there. It was informed to the landlord and the meter was replaced to the new electronic meter and I am still waiting for the bill from it's reading which I would get from next month.I went mad yesterday when I received my bill for last month and the units were 615 and bill amount for rupees 5810 are these people gone mad. It is like all cheats working over there not knowing how a common man has to suffers due to their mistakes or in capabilities to work, sorry but I have to say that. How can the meter read 615 units in one month, Our only mistake was that when the meter was taken to be checked and we did not note down the reading when they took it and when it was brought back and also when they replaced it as we do not think of all this at that time we trust that something good would happen, I was at work don't know what was the reading when they took it back.
My only request is that if anyone reading this can help me get all the money that I paid extra back would really be appreciated, can give half the money as a token of love than to let it go in the hands of such people.

Average Billing Faulty meter

Consumer Number[protected] Meter Status is faulty from past few months and average billing is coming. I had compliant this few months back also but no action has been taken.
What is the problem in nandurbar mseb ? In rainy days very problem in nandurbar for electricity . No one day supply continue electricity in nandurbar
MSEDCL services are ###. they are not working properly. They just make salary and go home.
