[Resolved]  Mahindra Scorpio Automatic — Faulty Used Car delivered

I booked a 4X4 Vlx Automatic Scorpio. Not received on the requested date alternatevely advised to get 2X4 Vlx Automatic Scorpio. I received the delivery at home and the vehicle was used for over 300+ kilometers at the time of delivery. I tried to drive the car for around 600 kilometers complaining pick up was not good. Finally last time driven going to Pune and vehicle could not go over 30 to 40 kilometers an hour. Tried contacting Mahindra Road assist for over 30 minutes but they couldnot help me , just kept on giving new telephone numbers and kept contacting those given numbers but no response. I stopped the car on the way to Pune for an hour and then tried and the car was able to go not over 40 kms an hour hence cancelled my appointments in Pune as was quite late. Returned back to Mumbai driving at max 40 Kms an hour with a great worry the vehicle will stop on the way as was travelling with my wife and was too late in the night. called the Mahindra NBS International various managers including CEO and the vehicle was picked up to their workshop on[protected] after complained on 30, 31 June, 2010 about the pick up problem after receiving the delivery on[protected]. Last driven the car on[protected] when faced the problem on Pune road. Now from[protected] vehicle is in mahindra's workshop and have been told about multiple problems with the new Brand vehicle I have purchased like electrical wiring faulty, Automatic gear box problem and also multiple reasons given by Mahindra's managers, Ceo and chief engineers. Now till this date[protected] I have neither received the delivery of my Vehicle and I have requested for an explaination in writting for delivery of faulty vehicle and an assurance letter giving a guarantee if any such problems happen again what will be the panely mahindra be prepared for. I have purchased this car for driving all around India to Himaliyas too. Kindly help me getting a new and brand new vehicle instead of this faulty vehicle which I have absolutely no confidense. Instead of that they amy return the money I have paid with all the compensation for spoiling all my programmes for travel to India. I have come with my wife from Australia and was suppose to start my travel all over India.
Hoping Mahindra will be Punished for misguiding, cheating and neglegting a honest inocent customer.

MAHINDRA & MAHINDRA LTD AUTO SECTOR — Refund of 2007-08

Yet I have not received my I.Tax Refund Cheque for 2007-08 as assessess not submitted remarks appeard. I do not know who is assessess?. I have submitted the refund and I have computerised generated no.
My PAN No. AAMPJ6760G.
On l. Tax web site does not shows more details about assessee.
Only ask PAN No and Financial Year.
Pl send me Phone No of resective officer of said dept and area of branch no of SBI.
I am Mrs. Hemdev and of course was traveling with my husband Raj Hemdev on[protected]. We had many appointments with various builders in Pune and it was our most horrible road journey by road by this VLX Automatic Faulty Scorpio Vehicle. Raj is a very experienced and safe driver since last 31 years, driving in United Arab Emirates for over 12 years, all over Europe- Austria, Brussel, Germany, France, Italy, swiss, all over Britain and of course many many years in India and 8 years in Australia.
Raj has god fines to Police vehicles in Dubai and Australa when they drive rough risking lives of common man. This is our shocking experience in our own country India and by an Indian well known Motor manufacturing company, whom we use to trust a lot but first time bought this Brand New Scorpio Automatic and in return received a used faulty vehicle with lot of troubles and worries from mahindra's own Corporate Dealership. Mr. hemdev tried his very best and gave more than enough time to even the CEO of NBS International Mahindra. They have been very negligent and dishonest is sorting it out and put our lives at risk without even thinking in human manner. Shame on Mahindra and NBS it's corporate Dealership and the management for cheating innocent honest citizens.
I am requesting Mr. Hemdev to File a complain with Department of home Ministry fabout this Cheating so that they will never ever try to cheat other common citizens and ris their lives followed by a serious case in the Indian Courts...
I feel Mr. Hemdev will give them some more time. I feel if they are not punished this time they will keep this practice continued. technically mahindra and it's senior engineers doesnot know much about what they are manufacturing and how to fix the problems as and when arises. A New vehicle purchased and hardly used for 600 KMs for 6 to 7 days only is in their workshop and they cannot fix the problems. Shame on your technology and mechanism Mahindra. If Mahindra doesnot know to manufacture Automatic verssions then why are they doing so, to risk lives of their customers and their families????
Please be aware these cheats. Our rpogramme which was fixed since last October, 2009 for driving from Mumbai to all over India and to Himalayas Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and jamnotri has been shattered. We did come from Australia specially for all this and enjoy our Bharat for atleast 6 to 9 months but...????

I booked a Scorpio Automatic . . . the delivery was promised by June End . . . yet to get delivery . . . in fact, Mahindra has returned the deposit amount . . . since they are unable to even provide a probable delivery date . . . I guess there is some issue with the BS IV version of Scorpio Automatic . . . which is why deliveries have been stopped in all Major cities where BS IV is mandatory . . . Is your car a BS IV model?
This was relating to my previous complain. I got the delivery of my Scorpio Automatic instead of a brand new one, I was delivered a used and faulty car. Now in Mahindra's NBS even the CEO Ashwini Garg knew the purpose of my buying a 4X4 automatic scorpio, that I will be travelling driving with my family all over India.
My new car was delivered with the wrong number plate different than the RC Book.
I was very fortunate, I didnot trust this faulty delivered car and didnot take the risk of taking this car on long tour of India. We took flight to various places and then hired cars there travelling all around Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Uttrakhand, Himachal, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab etc. etc to cut short as the trip it self was cut short because of these Mahindra Unprofessional & Negligent Guy's.
If I would have taken this car to those places in India with a different number plate than the RC book then I would have got caught by police for various offences which I have not done but mahindra or RTO curropt departments have done.

Dear Raj,

I felt sorry after hearing your shocking experience dealing with M&M and its dealership. Have you encountered similar cases with other customers as well? Were the executives at NBS not pushing M&M enough to replace the car?

Rs. 12.5L is not a small sum and this is the least one would expect from an Indian brand that also carries global presence and repute. I was looking at buying Scorpio VLx AT from NBS and the earlier meetings with them left me to believe that BS4 models are not available as yet and no concrete schedule could be committed.

You have done good for not buying this stupid brand. I am regularly facing problems with this defective car. I am always at worry driving this car carrying my family with me.
I never wanted to drive a car where even auto rickshaws & cycles will overtake me on busy roads. I struggle to speed as my automatic is truly automatic won't accept my instruction. God bless my India & its innocent citizens.

Now the Mahindra's Automatic Scorpio is collected by NBS Mahindra Driver from the workshop. I complained once again after facing several difficulties earlier & now again when I was driving on Pune road, this automatic scorpio car I could not drive over 20 to 30 speed on highway and in the traffic even worst all vehicles keep blowing horns on me, as gears don't really change & I could not accelerate as the vehicle not in my control but I am in its control. Finally vehicle picked up by Mahindra driver on 4th December, 2010. Now, I won't be collecting this vehicle back from them. This time won't hear to their requests etc., like last time. For sure, if won't refunded all my money paid will bring it all to the Legal Notice & Media.

I just boght a scorpio auto 2010 BS 4 model and folks after using it for 1000+ kms I think its one of the best decsions of my life to go fr this vehicle...Simply Outstanding.Mr hemdev I am with you on your grievance but I belive it was sheer misfortune that you got that 1 in a million unit.
