So can anyone plz tell me is there anything like Financial Department, Microsoft/Windows®Mega Donation.

Or it is simply fake???
hi it may be fake becoz even i got the same mail with the same details including the registration number same as that u have provided.don't transfer any money online.I[censored] want to claim the parcel, plz collect the parcel at the airport and pay the money to the customs after verification by the customs department.Failing to do the same will be treated as illegal. The person in the name of courier agent will ask u to deposit the money in some X's account no.dont do that.If you really want to pay the money to the air port authorities, u go there to the airport or send any trusted source for paying the money to the customs department. The person u are sending should be a genuine case and should see that he pays the money to the customs soon after their verification of the parcel. The customs people will open the parcel and then they will impose customs duty or tax on it.The money they are asking 18, 350 INR will be decided by the customs department of airports authority of india and completely goes to the government's depository. And for any item of worth less than 25, 000 INR, the customs department will not charge any tax or duty or money. And as per the information I got from customs officer who is my neighbour, there will not be any immigration charges and airport taxes on the parcel among the list of charges the fraudulent mail has conveyed. So please be careful regarding the mail that u have got. Please don't believe the same blindly. If any one has received the cheque amount plz post the information in this link. https://www.consumercomplaints.in/my-complaints.htmlmicrosoft-windows-financial-department-c422263.html

Hello Sugata,

Thank you for contacting Microsoft Customer Service.

I understand that you have received an email from Mc Financial Department ([protected]@hotmail.co.uk) stating that you will receive 1.5 million GBP + 1 PC new Laptop as a reward for using gmail. I would like to inform you that this is known as phishing email and you should delete it.

Sugata, we appreciate the fact that you have taken the time out to bring this to our notice. I have added a few links that will help you report this type of emails and also gain additional information on phishing.

Report Phishing Scams: The link below provides you with details on how you can report these emails and help fight against phishing scams:

Phishing is a type of deception designed by scammers to steal your valuable personal data, such as credit card numbers, Windows Live IDs, other account data and passwords, or other information. Often phishing scams rely on links in e-mail messages, on Web sites, or in instant messages that seem to come from a service that you trust, like your bank, credit card Company, or social networking site.

Unfortunately, Microsoft and other large companies are often targeted by these scam artists. Largely as a result of customers like you, Microsoft is aware of this issue and working to improve online safety and to put the spammers and scammers out of business.

You can read about the steps Microsoft is taking to promote online safety and pursue cyber criminals, by clicking on the link below:

Sugata, I certainly understand the discomfort the mail has caused you and also hope that I have been able to answer your questions and provide you with the information regarding phishing emails.

If you have other concerns, please feel free to write back and we will be glad to assist you.

Thank you,

Deepika

no body trust like this mails.why should anyone will give you a large amount only for using internet?its obviosly a fake mail.please nobody woory about it.
can anyone get the parcel from the eagle couriers, can you clarify, really this parcel comes to India, or the courier agent asked us to deposit money in their account
My friend also received this mail, and from the first look of it I can say without doubt that this is yet another scam. They have given you two options-
1)To come to UK and
2) to pay the sum to Eagle Courier. Naturally no one will take the first option.
So you will be asked to pay the sum. This itself clearly shows that it is fake.

PS: Why do you need the HP laptop when you are getting 1.5 Million Quid...
