[Resolved]  Morphy Richards — Poor Product Quality, Service

I have purchased Juicer cum mixer from Morphy Richards which is distributed and serviced by Bajaj Electronics in India. The product is made of poor quality plastics and steel and within 2 months time it started breaking and even the stainless steel parts started splitting off.

I have made a complaint with Bajaj and they have sent a technician initially and said they will have to replace coupler and motor because both are damaged but I will have to pay because I tried to open it. The product is very bad in terms of quality and frequently breaks down.

I told them to keep the product as they were demanding 1500 for the servicing and now I bought an Indian make mixer grinder for 2200 and its doing well.

Agree completely! I had purchased their Juicer Mixer Grinder Model Divo 3 Jar in April 2009. We have been using it sparingly since the last 3 months. Plastic base of all 3 jars have started breaking apart. After numerous calls to Bajaj service centres mentioned in the warranty booklet, a technician visited my place. Initially he said that we had mishandled the product but after speaking to the area customer service manager for North, he agreed to repair it free of cost. Plastic base of 2 jars (juicer and wet grinder were replaced). After just a week the plastic base on juicer have started showing cracks - AGAIN! There is no doubt that the quality of the product is bad (not even average)! I have seen better product from China than this! So much for the world class appliance company from UK. AVOID LIKE PLAGUE.

I had purchased Juicer cum mixer from Morphy Richards from Vijay Sales, Mumbai. The product is made of poor quality plastics and steel and within 4 months time it started breaking & had to get the plastic jar replaced twice.

I had made a complaint with Vijay Sales and they had sent a technician initially and said they will have to replace the jar for which I will have to pay. I had to pay for the jar to get it replaced & even the replaced jar broke in 15days. The product is very bad in terms of quality and frequently breaks down.

I told them to keep the product with them due to its poort quality and now I bought an Indian make mixer grinder for 2200 and its doing well.

if it was under warranty period u should not have to pay for the replaced jar
I had purchased a Icon Classic Mixer grinder of Morphy Richards from Ezone, Jayanagar Bangalore on the 15th of August 2010. After 3 days o[censored]sage there was a burning smell & smoke emanating from the motor. The very next day I gave it for service to Bajaj service center near South end circle; they serviced it & gave me the assurance that all would be just like new. However after 5-9 days o[censored]sage, I am back to square one with the same burning smell & smoke. PLEASE AVOID BUYING THESE CHEATS PRODUCTS SO THAT YOU CAN NOT ONLY SAVE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY BUT ALSO YOUR LIVES.

i have buyed foodprosser in month of september and it is not working from first day we have made complaints many times nobody came and it's like dustbin in our home please give our money back or replace it fastly otherwise we are going to file case in consumer court and only your company name is big but products are very bad
I had also bought a mini chopper and i must say this is the worst product and service ever. The so called Bajaj service centre in Ganganagar, Bangalore is just a scrap shop without anybody knowing what to do.

I had also complaied to morphy Richards on the webiste and they have not bothered to reply. The toll free number as expected does not work. It is almost a month since given for repair and i'm yet to see it.
i have bouth morphy richards Divo essentials, i used it hardly for 10 times for making juice, its plastic from where we can inset the fruits has gone into pieces and even he teeth of the grinder also borke. nver ever go fot it. 100% money waste
Morphy Richards Mirage Steam Iron Box is of poor quality. After few days, water will leak through holes and replacement of new product is far from reality. Morphy's brand image is taking a toll !!!

Morphy Richard — Servicing of products

I have registered a complaint in morphy Richard website & before that I have complained to its service center about induction cooker. I had called them on their phones many times. they are not attending the fault. Induction cooker is in guarantee period. Service request no. PUN[protected].
I purchased an induction cooker and it conked off in 2 days!!! I have placed a complaint with the area manager, who is as good-for-nothing as the rest of the team. My complaint has still not been sorted out 15 days down the line. The company officials give flimsy excuses and delay the repairs.

I think it is better to avoid buying this brand in India at least!!!

And the service is really horrible..
Customer care works from 9am to 6:00pm and if you call at 5:30pm, an automated machine will say "our customer care works from 9am to 6pm" :D

I called many numbers specified in the service center sheet. Most of them are not working. Out of reach or temporarily out of service.
Some were picked and they say that we only support bajaj electrical (then why the hell you have specified your number in morphy richard's service center), and other service centers (who by chance support morphy richard and were picked) have their own rates. One said 225, other 425 and third one 550. Now who is correct God knows and what is the authenticity of that part only that service center knows :)

Looks like either I am mad that I have purchased this blender from morphy richard or the owner of morphy richard who doesn't seems to continue with his customer.
I am or rather was an avid Morphy Richards customer purchasing many of their electrical products over the years so after much research I purchased a Morphy Richards Power Steam Elite Steam Generator at a cost of £250.00 in January 2014, it came with a 1year guarantee and unfortunately I did not register for the 2 year guarantee as I was busy moving house and forgot.


Now 16 months after purchase it has completed packed up. The power comes on and the base of the unit gets hot but no heat gets through to the iron I contacted Morphy Richards to ask if they had a repair centre that I could sent it to to get it repaired obviously I was prepared to pay as it was out of guarantee but I was absolutely astounded to be told that they only had a repair centre for items under guarantee and that there was nothing they could do.

This leaves me to believe that they only expect a £250 iron to last 1 year or 2 years if its under guarantee, they offer no help with service/ repair or spare parts if not in guarantee.


My advice to anyone thinking of purchasing any of their products would be to think again as they offer no customer care or help to products out of guarantee, Hence to say I will no longer be purchasing or recommending any of their products in future.
We purchased Murphy Richards 1000 watt Food Processor Model Icon DLX on 13/09/2015. Our experience with the product has been quite discouraging/disappointing. within a short spell of eight months we had to call the company''s mechanic a number of times. while they attend the complaint promptly problem persists. Usage of product is quite unfriendly/full of hassle. As a result o[censored]nfriendly use different systems get defective and complain has to be lodged. I will not RECOMMEND purchasing this appliance.
I have purchased a morphy Richards mixer cum food processor. In the beginning itself it created prblems like switch burnt and accessories broken etc..not one time many more time. Since it starts problems in the first use itself I requested the technician to change my product. But no responce. Now its motor burnt and its just out of gurantee period and they are demanding rupees 3000 to change its motor. I request every body NOT TO BUY ANY OF ITS PRODUCTS its waste of money
