I applied for 250 COMBO Plan in the month of July and the phone was installed on 31st July 2008 (phone no.[protected] and the lineman once gave a call from the pole to ensure that the same is working or not. Immediately after his call on that very day it was DEAD, which I informed to the lineman and he promissed to start again but till date my phone is DEAD. I have made several complaints in thsi regard but in vain.
Futher, since I applied for COMBO Plan, internet also is needed along with the phone. Since 31st July I have been following up but MODEM has not been installed at my place. In thsi regard I had complaint to Mr. Dutt, Secretary to GM (Commerical), Mayapuri Exchange, thrice. He informed that since there is shortage of MODEM, we are unable to provide the same. I asked him that "I have applied for COMBO Plan and if MODEM is not available, there is no fun putting a dead phone at my place because my main requirement is internet".
Quite interestingly, for a dead phone, MTNL has sent me Bill. I ask you, why should I pay bill for a dead phone and a plan which has not been installed yet. I need internet urgently, but even after making many complaints, it has not been installed.
I request you that NO BILL should be charged for the period it is dead and till MODEM is installed. Bill should be sent from the day MODEM is installed and phone starts functioning, means COMBO works.
Kindly do the needful and oblige. Do revert back.
