[Resolved]  MTNL — MTNL - Cheating in Broadband Bill

This is in regard to my MTNL Broadband Connection.
My Telephone No is 22505665

Inspite of changing to unlimited Broadband connection [ Plan: TriB_UL_data_599_combo ] and assuring that total MTNL bill will not go up by Rs 787/- a month - I was charged Rs 1085 for the month March 2013. I tried to called up their 24 hr helpline[protected] but there was no response. Then I lodged complaint on their IVRS [ automated consumer complaint link ].

MTNL is cheating in Broadband billing being done to its consumers. I totally fedup with the service they are providing.

I would like people to know about this and know how MTNL is doing fraud and cheating its users.

Can someone do something about this. HELP! HELP! HELP! HELP! HELP!

Do not use MTNL broadband.

MTNL — cheater mtnl

i hv recently joined internet service with mtnl before 5 days back ...now the problem is its disconnet frequently
i have broadband connection 149 plan. when i started internet, frequently disconnect. pls. check...made complaints several times but all in vain kindly manage them...

MTNL — bogus bill

in the march month bill they charged me rs 472/- .i m asking the company to furnish roaming since last two months but all efforts in vain. i paid the bill already beacuse of disconnection.

who can help me.

MTNL Broadband — Mislead and fraud

My father Dr.Ashwin Joshi had booked for broadband internet to the MTNL broadband service and we had taken a plan of 699 rupees and unlimited usage. After 2 years, that is in 2004, one of the executive from the MTNL broadband service came to our house and said that the plan that we had taken was cancelled. Thus they gave us an option of a plan where we have to pay 399 Rupees per month and the usage would be unlimited and we'll not have to pay any additional charges for their instrument usage and internet usage. They did not show us any paper having the terms and conditions and they misguided us about the plan and from since next month, in the bills, it was stated the plan was limited and they also charged the router rent per month. We tried telling the executives about this but they never listened. Once the usage of the internet went a bit high... And because of that, in the month of March, 2009, the bill came for 20,000 Rupees and for the month of April,2009, the bill came for 8,000 Rupees approximately... We tried to consult with the MTNL broadband executives about the issue but they forced us to pay the bill...

This is the case of clear FRAUD. one- they did not inform us about the terms and conditions properly. Two- they lied about the amount that they were going to charge, Three- they never considered our complaints and never guided us upon anything on the issues that we were facing. Four- the executives were too rude to us in giving us any information.

We being consumers, have full right to obtain the basic and necessary information for the service that we are paying. As being consumer, this is our right to ask questions and they'll have to answer us as we pay them. If we do not get that and if we are being cheated and looted for money, it's not fair.

We have faith in the government and Indian Consumer Forum service and we expect you to take this complaint seriously and take the strict measures on this company..
I found that though i have an unlimited plan and i am supposed to be getting a speed of 384 kbps i recieve only a speed of 40 kbps [at its peak point].
I tried calling the helpline, but he told me that we are supposed to get a good speed in the begining and then it is supposed to drop down to 1/8th if the deserved speed.
Strangely, i wasnt informed of this before i bought my package.

MTNL and Myway — Cheating

Myway approached me through MTNL for IPTV connection and took cheque for Rs. 2000.00 as security deposit on 29.09.2009. Since then more than 50 complaints have been lodged regarding picture freezing, remote not working, no sound, USB port dysfunctional, non streaming of several promised channels. It appears that MTNL has colluded with Myway company for cheating customers since both these companies are utterly incompetent in providing IPTV services with any reliability whatsoever. Since, monthly payments are being taken by MTNL - a PSU - for providing IPTV services, matter through your forum be escalated for taking to task government/quasi government officers involved in this racket. In the meantime, all customers be given option to lodge their complaints via email to an independent nodal officer who has to acknowledge receipt of complaints.

MTNL — complaint of bil

Sir I am having mtnl post paid dolphin connection for more than five years I am having one india roaming plan in which mtnl offerd me 500 free min incoming on roaming but in my previous month bill mtnl charged the incoming calls on roaming. Sir my mob no is [protected] kindly look in the matter .
