[Resolved]  Mumbai NasikExpressway Ltd — Toll charges

Address:Nashik, Maharashtra

Sir,
on 24Aug 2011 I travelled from Deolali to Igatpuri by car on Sinner Ghoti road and paid return toll charges of Rs.36.00 vide ticket no.DEO/B2/L2/S1/NPP/G1372.GO (under NSRDC) upto Ghoti, thereafter Igatpuri is just 5(five)KM for which Mumbai Nasik Expressway insisted to pay Rs 50.00 one way thereby totalling to Rs.100.00 for return journey, which works out to Rs 10/- per Km for using the highway, now I request you to justify these charges. The staff at toll plaza showed their inability to help stating that it was as per norms of NHAI.
Now would you please look into the matter and do the needfull,I have also registered my complaint in writting at the toll plaza.

Toll Loot Plaza in TN — Toll Plaza

Toll plaza nowdays is too expensive, I think people should fight against this.
You wont believe, Rs.500-600, is toll cost from bangalore to comibatore and back for cars...its actually lotting. I dont understand why this much of toll is collected..

I think we need to fight for this. Even in Bangalore when you enter Bangalore from Hosur side and want to go to - Sarjapur/Anekal/White Field they ask toll for Rs.20, becuase there is a deviation and not going to use the new toll road they are forced to pay the toll, becuase hardly they will use the road for 500mts and later they take deviation.

its not Tolling, its looting
I travelled on 22nd OCtober 2011 through Mumbai Nasik Expressway Ltd. at 8.08 hours Ticket No. 553279/[protected]:08/06/T N in my Car Maruti Swift Dzire No. MH 03 AR 2725, Booth 06/T N/Premnath. I mentioned that I want to exit at Khadavali for my Ganesh Temple Visit at Titwala. He mentioned that there is no provision for short distance toll exit and I had to pay Rs 80 though my travel was not more than 5 km from the point of entry. This is absolutely unfair, uncalled for and cheating to the customer. I strongly object such high levy for short distance exit.
I had the same experience, I was travelling to Asangao and had to pay the full Rs 80 that is applicable for travel to Nasik. This is not acceptable specially because there is no alternative road to this highway.
I had a similar experience while traveling to Asangao. Rs.80 (one way) for short distance is absolutely unfair. Even Worli Sea Link is cheaper. Government must develop an alternative road. Government must abolish road taxes if it wants to collect tolls like this.
we pay tax on the petrol, then road tax in d annual income tax payment..then why are toll plaza's made, it is the duty of govt to look into the matter..this all amounts to blackmoney..dont know where does all the money go..anyways politicians, u enjoy with our money..god is seeing all o[censored]s..so dont worry..keep troubling people and you will have to answer one day!!
I too had a similar experience on 2nd jan 2012. i wanted to travel to Shahpur & Toll plaza issued me toll voucher for full fare of Rs.80/- upto nashik. On informing him that I wish to travel to Shahpur, They insisted that toll was rs. 80/- even if you pass through this toll plaza and go only 1 KM. This is highly ridiculous and beyond any sensible logic. Even on Mumbai Pune Expressway, they have kept different tolls for Lonavla Exit and Talegaon exit. This amounts to day light looting of motorist travelling by this road. All travellers by this road should unite and protest against this unfair toll.
This is sheer loot of the public. The toll charges should be on the lines of Mumbai Pune expressway. They should have staggered toll charges.
Govt Is Looting Public, Two months back i had to go to Shahpur for some work from Mulund. I paid Rs30 at Mulund Toll Naka, then at Thane-Nashik road 27.50 or something and then just before Shahpur at padgha I was charged toll for upto nashik thats 90 on one side. Same charges for coming back again. Total toll i paid for a to and fro journey from Mulund To Shahapur thats just 58kms so total to and for it was 58 + 58 = 116 kms with toll Rs 295/- i.e. Rs 2.54 per km. Thats ridiculous. As if we pay huge taxes on Cars when we buy them. One time tax government collect for Development. Just imagine the money they are getting from new sales. Then per litre the government is charging about 45% tax. State Governments Charge above it. So about 50% we pay per litre as taxes. Just imagine my car gives average of 12km/litre. So for driving 116 kms from Mulund to Shahapur its 9.67 liters of petrol. The rate of petrol currently is Rs 79 in mulund. So 39.5 i pay per litre as tax. So for whole trip i paid a tax of 381.96 and 295 for tolls. That's total Rs 677 as tax for using a road one time of 58 kms to and fro. Is it a JOKE. Do they really spend that kind of money to develop roads and development. And on top of all this they give us world top class roads with POT HOLES. how fool we are to vote and elect such b*s. What nonsense is this happening. How can they justify TOLL Collection. My SERIOUS Question is if this money is going in pockets of the political parties as corruption is worst thing in our country. So far i have not even touched the other taxes government collect from us indirectly even if its not for our own vehicles. Imagine even if you don't have your own car. You are being fooled by Government, as each and everything you use everyday is transported by road ways. Just imagine above calculation for one item MILK, and then you will understand why MILK is so expensive. These guys collect OCTROI/LBT from each and every transport vehicle, where is this money used then? Its a joke we are still QUIT?
I have brought a flat in shahpur and travel almost at every eeek end to see my flat. First there is a toll at mulund then at thana and after thst at a place beyond kalyan.now they collect toll upto nasik even if you hsve to go to shahpur that is rupees 100 one way. I appeal to the authorities to give some relief to citizens travelling upto shahpur. ths is beyond logic.
It's a sad story, but I don't think it's going to stop because these roads are on build and operate basis. Nobody however, keeps tab on expiry of tenure for which the contractor is supposed to charge toll. In fact the amount keeps on increasing year after year. May be some invisible mouth sucks out money from public endlessly to meet its own devilish needs.
I am also disappointed with the huge toll collection on the Mumbai Nashik Highway as I need to go to Shahpur regularly.

Government should reduce the toll for Shahpur people and should not be charged the same amount as one pays to travel to Nashik i.e. Rs 100
