[Resolved]  Neon Broadband — No Internet Service for Days Together, Refusal to refund

Hi,

I am a resident of Kandiwali (W) and have taken Broadband services fron Neon Broadband (a local BB provider). The proprietor is Mr. Chirag. I took the BB almost a year ago and it would not be an exaggeration to say that of the amost 12 months the Internet would have been non functional for at least 40 days. My Internet again has been down for 4 days now, but to my dismay Mr. Chirag believes that it ok tio take so many days as due to lightening his antenna has been damaged. here are some points about the kind of reactions I have been getting from him:
1. He charges three months’ advance and hence I do not have a choice but to continue as there are still 45 days left for this cycle of which the Internet has been down for at least 8 days in the gone 45 days
2. He repeatedly tells me that ‘his big clients’ are also facing issues. Hence, being a retail customer I do not enjoy any right to coice my concerns with him
3. The signal device at my place has been changed at least 3 times and every time he again gives the same excuse that the device is in transit
3. Now, when I am tired of his services and am asking him to remove his device from my place, he tells me that I have signed a fine print that says that there is no refund of money. I have paid Rs 999 per month for a three month cycle alomg with taxes
4. On top of it, he points fingers at my employer TTL saying that Tata too is known for bad services
5. Mr. Chirag is one of the busiest guys on the planet. He cannot be reached with ease and keeps passing the buck in his employyees’ name

I need to help to understand that how do I get some respite on the following front:
1. He is a small businessman. is there a forum where I can complain against him?
2. If I was not aware of the Telecom jargon when I took the connection do I enjoy any help is terms of getting my money back and actually holding this person responsible for his misconduct
3. Is there a way where someone can question him on his service standards and repeated faultering on connections
4. The othet Braodband providers do not provide connectivity where i live. Can someone help me understand how can resolve this issue wiythout having to deal with such unaccoutable people.
5. I feel cheatred and wish to get my money back. Is there a way?

I am utterly frustrated and would really need some hlp on this front. Can someone help me?
