[Resolved]  Nippon Toyota Trivandrum, Kerala, India — FELT INSULTED IN NIPPON TOYOTA

I am a proud owner of an innova G4 [march 2008] model. The superb performance and quality of the vehicle motivated me to buy another same vehicle for my brother as a gift. With this intention i approached nippon toyota trivandrum { local toyota dealer} for booking the above mentioned car today Ie 02/04/2008 at sharp 3.30 pm.
I met the same sales officer [who is a very nice person and who dealt with my first Innova] to book my next Innova. I already had a approved loan with ICICI bank and also discussed every thing related to the vehicle ie model, color, offer, delivery date, balanced to be paid and all other thing, and also handed over the margin money over the counter.
i asked them to show me the same vehicle which they are going to supply me after the registration. Unfortunately when the vehicle came i was shocked to see that 2 or 3 mirrors were of 2007 make so i requested them to give me a vehicle which has got all the mirrors [window, quarter glass, windsheild etc] of same manufacturing year. But they refused to do so saying that they dont have such vehicle. I was very disappointed at that moment . Few minutes later i got out of the showroom and had a look on a new car which was parked outside the showroom. After inspecting that car i was quite assured that this car meets my specifications [ all mirrors of same manufacturing year ]. I asked them to allot me the above mentioned car, but they simply refused my appeal saying that customer "dont have the the right to choose the car for which they are paying a huge amount".
This was quoted by the deputy sales manager of this company. I was very disappointed and felt insulted after hearing this since this is my second Innova purchase in a span of 15 days.
So i kindly request you to take it very seriously and contact me as soon as possible or else i will have to go to other redressal options.

I too had a similar experience with them, but frankly i am not hurt by this rule of Nippon Toyota. Toyota allocates the vehicle centrally, inorder to avoid confusion and fights among prospective buyers. In your case, what if i too turn up at the showroom and demand the same vehicle (which u liked). Confusion and disorderliness ensues and inorder to avoid these, Toyota does so. U must have seen how Maruti and other dealers dump cars in their stock-yard. Nippon avoids this too.
I had worked with Nippon for more than 4 years and I don't think so it could happen...
Might be some misunderstanding between...
Because as far as I am concerned Nippon gives prior importance to each and every customer's comments.

becuse On 25th May I gave My Toyota Cambry for Repair in your authorized dealer NANAVATI TOYOTA MOTORS in surat gujarat india, My car had problem with Fuel Pump so Dealer said me we dont have fuel pump available so i wil take 12 or 15 days to repair you car so i m unhappy with this type of service so kindly reuest you to repair my car as soon as possible n give us good customber service in surat gujarat india n give me reply as soon as possible

The customer service of Nippon TOyota is horrible.
I have purchased a toyota innova in 2005, firstly, it was delivered very late, secondly, when i had minor parts repair, the dealer says it doesnt cover the warranty.
and recently, i faced a major breakdown my car didnt start at all. i thought my battery is gone, so i replaced it, but next day again same problem. i called dealer millenium toyota in mira road-mumbai, they came very late, and took my car to service centre, there they told me that the starter is not working. i argued that its a part which should run atleast ten to fifteen years, or else the car will stop anywhere, its a mnaufacturing defect, which i have never faced in any of my past cars, not even maruti 800.
when i called hte customer care, they replied very rudely that we cannot replace your part because it is out of warranty, my vehicle has run only 59000kms.
the warranty says 1 lac kilometre or 3 years. but now they say if three years have completed theres no warranty on this part.
i warn to all innova users please beware of their service and attitude, the company toyota never cooperates with the customers and never accept their mistakes, and your car breakdown anywhere anytime.
be ready to pay for any parts which are under warranty or not.
at the end of the day, i didnt expect such a behaviour from toyota, its totally negative.
