[Resolved] Nokia 5800 Xpressmusic — cheatful demands at Nokia service center | |||
I purchased a Nokia 5800 handset on 31/10/2009 from Planet M, Mani Square Mall, 164/1 Maniktala Main Road, E. M. Bypass, Kolkata - 700054. My Phone's IMEI No. is [protected]. I used the set for 2 approximately 2 and 1/2 months. One day when I was updating my phone's software online through the data cable, it suddenly got off, but never again start up. I thought it may be a software malfunction. So I went to the service center near Girish Park Metro Railway Station on the 2nd next day. They took the set, got inside, came back and replied that the set is physically damage, has a record o[censored]nauthorized opening, an essential clip thing mission, the LCD display panel having problem..bla...bla...bla...!! And most importantly added that I have to pay around Rs. 4500 /- to service the thing. I had no idea at that point of time that how a brand new set that have not even a single scratch mark in it can have so many problem in a sudden. I had a talk with the regional sales head Mr. Doipayon regarding the matter. But he said what the service center had to say is the final word. Now when I get there to take the set back without having the repairing job done, they handed me over the set with semi-broken part inside it. If this is the kind of service that Nokia will provide, everybody can think four times before buying a handset. I hope this letter will have some response about this strange matter.
