COMPLAINT OF NOKIA 6300


1. I purchased Nokia 6300 set on 07 Mar 09 from Smart Info Systems, auth dealer of Noika, Siliguri – 734001 for amount Rs 6490/- (Rupees six thousand four hundred and ninety only). Bill/Memo No 733 att alongwith this set I also purchased three more Nokia sets from the same dealer.

2. The movement I inserted my SIM Card, your Nokia 6300 set welcomed me as under :-

“Welcome to MOTOROLA C 163 Net ………………….. I went to the dealer again with the complaint and he changed the handset with another Nokia 6300. The problem re-occurred and next day I again went to the dealer with the same complaint. This time he refused to change the set and sent me to Nokia Care, Smart solutions, Siliguri. Mr A Bansal of Nokia care re-formated my set and returned it to me. The problem still persisted. Two days after I again went to Nokia care, shanti Tele Solutions Siliguri with the complaint on 16 Mar 09 (Tele Sheet No[protected]/090316/11). They kept my set for repair and analysis and as on date it is laying with them. He now says that your set has now been upgraded and assuring me that the problem will not recur”.

3. In the meanwhile I spoke to Nokia Centre Care (complaint No 2-3VG1Z5), Gurgaon on 23 Mar and 26 Mar 09 to Mr Punit, Mr Rajat and Mr Sachin who transferred my calls from one pers to other without giving any likely solution to the problem. Each time I was made to hold and speak for 20 minutes at a stretch. When I requested them to call me back they refused to do so saying there is no such facility. I requested them to give me name or contact number of officers who can take same decision towards resolving my problem. They refused to do that that even saying they are not authorized to do so.


4. It’s a sad story is that in your customer care, there is no such care for customers interest. All your policies your staff in providing satisfactory service to the customers. Your staff manning the customer care phones are no more than `Robots’ who have powers to take decision, to suggest solutions, to resolve problems, to raise issues requiring higher authenticities involvement, and so on. For instance, when I asked Mr Punit in your customer care & Mr A Bansal of Nokia care, Siliguri about next step if the problem persisted again & again, they failed to give me a satisfactory answer. The best they can do is that keep my handset again & send it to Delhi / Gurgaon for repair & Analysis.

5. For the last 20 days I’ve been mentally harassed by one & all related to Nokia. I’ve paid four visits 110 Km from my place to Siliguri and made numerous calls to numerous people, but all in vain. I’ve spent Rs 6500/- for the Nokia 6300 and Rs 2000/- additional due to the recurring problem.

6. At the end I request someone of you, who has an authority to resolve the issue to place are return my handset and re-imburse my money alongwith the additional expenditure. Or else the only option left to me is to go to consumer court & raise issue in print media about the spurious Nokia sets in market.
