[Resolved]  Nokia E51 — No Parts available at Nokia Care

I had purchased Nokia E-51, Chasis No.: [protected] from Vijay Sales, Prabhadevi, Mumbai 400 028, on 21/02/2009 Invoice No: 58681. Last month the ph. was diconnected all off sudden, which i was thought due to battery prob. I charged it again bt it was getting warm but it was dead. I gave it for repair at authorised Nokia Care, at 9/10 Padmavati Darshan, N.M. Joshi Marg, Opp. Deepak Cinema, Lower Parel, Mumbai 400 013. Ph.[protected]/6420444 against their job sheet No.[protected]/090921/19. They said it will take 15days for finishing the job, will let us knw the estimate after a week. There was no call from the Nokia care for 1week. when i called them they said it is not repaireble & to collect the handset. When I ask them about the complaint report, they said they dont give it to customers. I was shocked & dissatisfied with their service & the system. Again I ask them to give me in writting why it was not getting repaired, they give me in unprofessional way in writting 2lines as remark on plain piece of paper that PFO & antine switchers problem, Spares not available. Then I ask the authorised person Mr. Girish Gangar, who gave me some lame execuses & electronics goods problem which I was not satisfied. I had wrote my remark on the Job sheet where the signature has to be made while taking the handset. They said the complaint goes online to the Nokia co. Its very dissatisfaction where the co. like Nokia is not caring the customers. Its only 1.5years where my handset is dead completely. There was no liguid logged/physical damaged by me. Please revert me on this subject at earliest or I will go to consumer court if i dont get the feedback from you.

nokia 3500c — Unprofessional Response from Nokia Care

Hi,

I have given my cell phone to Nokia Care Centre - Shree Communication PUNE, Shop No 1-2 Yashogita Building, Near Mhatre Bridge, Erandwane, Pune. My cell had some Liquid damage and i had complained about Audio, Enhancement and charging/battery but at that time it used to detect Memory card. But after getting it back from them it is not detecting Memory Card. They kept the cell again for a couple of days after that they are saying it will cost Rs 400 more which was proper before submitting to them. Already they have charged Rs 450 against Liquid damage. As earlier this problem was not there, so its not my fault, so why should i bear up this extra cost? Now they are saying pay the amount otherwise take the cell back.

Please look into the matter.

Nokia as a company sucks big time when you talk of value for money or after sales service. I got a Nokia E51 on which the side buttons and the power button (made of rubber) lasted precisely 4 months. The cost of the handset was 11.5k (INR). The cost of the lousy plastic replacement body is 2.5k and its not in stock either (here in Gurgaon). Most people are facing this problem with the buttons and its a design flaw that Nokia has turned a blind eye to (for its so busy churning out newer models). The replacement bodies have not been modified to serve better (they still have the poor quality rubber buttons on them), and the 2.5k that one spends on this replacement body will last only another 4 months... then time to change the body again. I definitely have looked away from Nokia... its out of my consideration when planning to get a new handset, or when recommending one to a friend.
hi,
i have given my nokia 3500c to nokia care center, because i am not able to browsing internet in my pc through data cable connection.
On Friday, 14th January 2010, I visited the Nokia Care Centre also named as Today Telecom at Lower Parel, Mumbai to fix the vibration problem of my Nokia 3500c phone. I received my token for the service from the owner Mr. Girish Vasantji Gangar. On my turn, I went and sat at the displayed counter where this lady told me that my phone was much damaged (which actually wasn’t, she said it because she saw a little glue, which I had unsuccessfully applied to fix the steel rim of Nokia 3500c). She also said that it would cost me Rs. 55/- just to open up my phone to check the problem and without a guarantee of fixing it back the way it was. I replied saying that, at local stores, they open to check the problem without charging a single penny and fix it back too. She then told me to leave if I wasn’t interested in their service, which I obviously wasn’t, with the fear of having a broken phone and moreover, paying for the damage they could have caused. So, I left the place and after a while I again entered to have a word with the owner as mentioned, since he was sitting at the reception. I requested him to allow me for a word with the Manager and he said that the Manager wasn’t present there; I could meet him on Monday. So, I requested him to provide me with his contact number or ring him up, since I wouldn’t be able to make it on Monday. He started getting rough with me and also manhandled me. He then started threatening me to leave the place. I continued insisting to clarify some rules with the manager, but he continued PUSHING me and then he SLAPPED me hard across my face and PUSHED me out of his store. He EMBARRASSED me in public intentionally. All this simply because, I was trying to contact the Manager at the service centre.

Tapan Khilnani.
