[Resolved] Nokia N72 — I paid for international call which Is not done

With due respect I want to inform you that 4 times in february& march i have given my NOKIA N72 handset to their nokia service centre at barrackpore & saltlake sec-5 for repairing.Before repairing i can't receive any data from bluetooth.From yester day 45-50 INTERNATIONAL CALL had done .I dont't make those call but i was paid for it heavily to my service provider.Service provider declare"your phone is connected please check the balance".I won't aware of these calls & numbers. And I make sure that I have not any international number in my mobile contracts. I make sure those international number WHICH I'D NOT DONE.The numbes are- +[protected] +[protected] +[protected] +[protected] +[protected] +[protected] [protected] +[protected] +[protected] +[protected] These calls were make at around 2a.m-10p.m(IST). Look guys, the problem is that you have a Symbian phone, and you caught (read installed) a DIALER, it's a form of malweare, but not quite a virus. some (probably all) of the numbers your phones dial are Hotline IVRs, your mobile operators don't have anything to do with it, the problem is with your phones, get them to a regular service, that will solve the problem genetraly, and be carefull what you install/recieve via MMS, bluetooth, widgets etc... Your operators regularly charge the intrernational calls made, the best thing you can do is that you contact them and ask'em why they don't barr all calls from their network towards those specific numbers, cause it's what serious mobile operators do.

I also went thru the same n i changed my access codes n alws kept my nokia 5320 locked when not in use.untill now this is my temporary solution.but tell me whenever that happens ur phone's keypad was locked or not?also did u see with ur eyes when those calls were made?

for the moment, i've cut international calls..i'm in war with my operator..
nothing is installed in my N95, only Kaspersky, and Mcleaner, official ones...no widgets..
i never use bluetooth, i never answer a number i don't know...i've done a hard reset a month ago..

Reivax666 and Anu SYMBIAN PHONES!!! Might of bought'em like that, I sincerely don't know, but visit some service or MASTER RESET might eventualy help...

I have faced the same problem on 23rd Apr.09 in between 11.00PM to 5.40AM. I am having Nokia N73 and service provider is Idea. I reside at Indore, MP., India. Nos. automatically dialled and charged are same as are in above mentioned complaints of others. Contacted service provider Idea but they refuse to lodge complaint and they told the same is not possible. It seems some racket is going on and we all are paying heavily due to it. No one is bothered about this problem neither Nokia nor Idea. Few no.s dialled for reference of others +[protected], +[protected], [protected], +[protected], +[protected], +[protected]

Manual Disinfection

1. Go to the device’s Application Manager and remove/uninstall applications named “iPornPlayer”.
2. Scan your mobile device using UMU Scan and delete all files detected as SymbOS/Porndial.A.
