Onida TV - Worst Product Worst Service
I bought a Onida LCD 24MMS on 30Dec2011 for Rs 13500/- at Sony Electronics, Miyapur, Hyderabad.
The TV worked fine for 4 months and from 08May2012 the TV stopped turning on. Initially I thought the problem may be with remote battery. I replaced the old batteries with new ones but no luck
I registered a complaint on 09May2012. The complaint number is 12050736380289. They sent a service engineer to my residence after a week (after many followup calls Mr. Rajendran came in) spent for about 5 mins and decided the TV board inside failed. Needs to be replaced with a new one. He left saying it will be done in 3 to 5 working days.
Today is 2June2012 and I have made around 40 to 50 calls to Onida customer care, finally one week before Mr Ramu the incharage of Kukatpally area said the board has arrived from Mumbai. Now the next challenge is Onida has to send a service engineer to my residence to replace the board.
I have been following up with Mr Ramu and Mr Rajendran. Everyday they say the same story - WE WILL DO IT TODAY.
I don't know when is TODAY for them.
I will never buy a ONIDA product for the rest of my life nor recommend to anyone.
This is the worst experience I have ever had with a home appliance.
By reading this, I hope atleast few people realize how worst the product and the service is.
