Passport Officer — Call Center of Passport is not useful

Call center of passport is not useful.Call center employee will ask for file no and date of birth. Call center checks the data from the website www.passportindia.gov.in and the status of the website is never updated.
Whenever any one calls to the call center of passport , employee will always ask
"Are you the main application ?
Is your police verification clear ?
If police verification is cleared , she will tell you will be getting your passport next week and the passport has gone for printing. "

I feel its a wastage of money of the Govt.
