[Resolved] Post Office PPF Account — IRREGULARITIES IN PPF ACCOUNT | |
I am holding account No is 18253 with Sector 16 - A, Faridabad Post Office Branch. Every year there is mistake in the calculation of interest i used to get. Either these guys don't know how to calculate the interest or working very casually. Because of this behaviour i generally calculate interest for particular year on my own as homework for myself & then i go to Post office to get their figure. Most of the time i get wrong figure from these guys & even showing my calculation doesn't solve the purpose & the answer i used to get is " Go & write complaint against me then only i will check, main to aisa hi hoon. " this is so embarrasing that after standing in queue for 1 hour you get such a bad response. Then starts my actual excercise of submitting application to main post office & from there it gets forwarded to concern department & finally things gets shape after 20-25 days with great humiliation. its having one more technical problem like the same entry will be updated in my Income Tax Return file, which you can imagine... how some body can expect a working lady / gents to invest so much of time because of the nusance of a group of people. i believe because of a bunch of people whole community of post office gets a bad name. from our family five o[censored]s are having PPF account & this happens to every account every year. Imagine the extent of probblem because if one entry is wrong it will effect others also. hope some body can look into this & act strongly. Mb-[protected] Was this information helpful? | |

i have given a ppf a/c no.5675 for transfer from Ghaziabad Navyug market to Connaught Place, New delhi Post office alongwith original pass book on 08/01/2010 but till date i have not received any response from the post office. on enquire from post office connaught place the person always says that it will take months so wait. even post office complaint mail not working

I had PPF a/c no 774 at Hinoo now Doranda PO RANCHI. I got this account transffered to Indore GPO, Indore a/c no 6882, during March-April 2006. Meantime I had deposited an amount of 40, 000/- Rs in my account at Ranchi through cheque.
When I looked into my passbook in 2007 I could not got this entry in my passbook. I had written to Post Master, Doranda Ranchi with proofs of deposits and deduction of said amount from my bank account. I am still awaiting a reply from them.
I am thankful to Indian Post Office for the services provided to me, hope that this problem shall be solved and the proceeds of the said transaction shall be transferred to my PPF account at Indore .

Dear Sir, I have already done 3 extensions of 5yrs in ppf account Can anyone tell me how much time I can go on extending these 5 yrs terms? Can I ask post authorities to have a copy of all transactions in my account from the begining? As I have lost my first pass book! Can anyone guide me in this matter?

I am having PPF account. When ever I went to deposit money, the post office people demanding pass book for the same and refusing to take deposit in case non production of pass book.I want to know whether production of pass book is necessary for depositing money? If so, under what rule?

I had deposted a sum of Rs.70000-00 in my PPF Account No. 15022 at New Delhi, GPO, Head Post Office vide Cheque No.001394 dated 7-4-2011, drawn on ALLAHABAD BANK, MAYUR VIGHAR, PHASE-I, DELHI-110091, but same has not been credited to my PPF account till now even one year is going to expire. In this connection, several visites and complaints have been made, but nobody has bothered to listen my disputes being SENIOR CITIZEN. RECENTLY on 15.3.2012, I met Mr.D.C.Sharma, Asstt.Director (GPO-New Delhi), who is not prepared to solve my problem and shown his resentment and implesure againt my complaint. I have again submitted a dletter enclosing all suporting document i.e, PPF-Receipt of Rs.70000-00, Bank statement showing the debit entry, Cheqque No. etc. Kindly reconcile the MISSIING entry and given interest from 7.4.11; SHIV KUMAR SHARMA, 74-A, POCKET-3, MAYUR VIHAR, PHASE-I, DELHI -110091 ( Mob.
